Its QD-OLED and the colors are vivid and somewhat bright. It could be brighter though as HDR is very underwhelming in any lit environment. Highlights highlight but don’t POP and leave you wanting more. Text is sharp but still has some color fringing that takes getting used to even at this price point but it’s a gaming monitor so not unexpected. 240hz is only achievable with DSC but on hdmi it is not as compressed. 120hz over hdmi uncompressed is still superior. The distance detection feature is slightly jarring as it just shuts off the screen without warning so one might think the display died. It didn’t. You just have to move more like wave your hand or get up

After years of waiting, it’s amazing to finally have a 27” 4K OLED display—and the ASUS ROG Strix doesn’t disappoint. This monitor is everything I hoped for and more. Whether I'm deep into work or firing up Black Ops 6 and Warzone, it handles everything like a dream.
The HDR is absolutely stunning—vibrant colors, perfect blacks, and that signature OLED pop that just makes everything look better. Gaming on my 4080 SUPER is flawless thanks to the HDMI 2.1 ports working seamlessly, and that 240Hz refresh rate? Game changer. The smoothness and responsiveness in fast-paced shooters is unreal.
Even better, I can game and work stress-free knowing ASUS includes a 3-year warranty that covers burn-in. That level of peace of mind on an OLED is rare, and it really seals the deal.
If you’ve been holding out for a 27” 4K OLED, this is the one. It’s built for both productivity and peak gaming performance—worth every penny.

I have test a large variety of the OLED monitors on the market and this one is what stands out above the rest. The increase pixel density due to 27" 4K is impressive resulting in all games looking crystal clear. Additionally, this monitor in SDR gets quite a bit brighter than any of the others I have tested to include the LG 32GS95UE, MSI MPG321URX, LG 39GS95QE etc. It also contains useful features like a proxmity sensor which will turn off the monitor when it no longer detects something within sitting distance of the monitor, this is a simple but greatly effective implemenation to assist with any potential burn that could result due to OLED. I highly recommend this monitor and would absolutely recommend it over the more expensive PG variant which seemingly only difference is the include of DP 2.1.

Underestimated how HEAVY this monitor is, so be careful if using with a monitor arm. But the performance is absolutely beautiful. I use a 27 inch 2K 170hz monitor on the side and it is night and day. I am tempted to buy a second monitor to match the performance/quality. My only issue is with how the center gaming crosshair has very limited customization, but overall happy with the monitor

This monitor is TOP-TIER! I purchased mine's 6 months ago and I don't regret it. Every dollar spent was worth the quality of the screen and build, and I highly recommend as a main monitor for gaming. Once you go OLED, It's hard to go back to anything else!

Very good monitor, make sure to turn off power sync though. Causes screen to randomly turn black when gaming. Also consider turning off the proximity sensor if turning off power sync doesn't fix it.

Great monitor. I really like the minimalistic stand. Gets super bright and the Neo proximity sensor is not a gimmick.
I had to exchange my first one due to a vertical line that kept appearing down the whole screen even after a pixel refresh but the new one is perfect.
I've been waiting for a 27" 4k gaming OLED for awhile and this not only fits the bill but does an excellent job doing it.
It basically looks like the OLED laptops but in a larger size.

I was in the market for a Black Friday deal for an oled and instead I found an even better discount through their open box options. Nearly 50% off retail for a display model with no noticeable wear. With these newer oleds it also has a pixel refresh cleaning option within the monitor settings which cleaned up the panel after sitting so long as a display model. Looks and works just as if I bought it out of box. Only downside is that it only came with the power cable and none of the accessories like the vesa mount. Luckily I was able to buy a vesa mount that was 3d printed online for cheap. I highly recommend checking out their open box options before buying new, you can save quite a bit of money.

Upgraded from a Asus TUF 27inch IPS to this Asus Rog Strix 27inch 4k OLED and it has been the best upgrade I’ve ever done the quality of the monitor is unmatched! It has all the protection needed to eliminate the chance of burn in and the colors are beautiful. Anyone who is wanting an OLED this is the perfect choice! Asus knows how to make quality products

I’m honestly so happy with my 4K OLED monitor from ASUS. The colors are insanely vibrant, the blacks are super deep, and everything looks unbelievably crisp. Gaming and watching videos feel next-level now. I’m really grateful I decided to get this — it completely upgraded my whole setup.

Definitely the best 4k oled monitor for the price by far. I tried out the 32inch 4k with the matte finish before this one and I thought that looked insane until I tried this one. The fact that it’s a glossy finish and also a 27inch as well makes it so much more clear overall the clearest and best monitor I’ve ever seen. Yeah it doesn’t have the dual mode like the other one but realistically you never use it and if you’re getting a monitor like this you have a monster pc that can run 4k at high refresh rates anyways.

Let me start out by saying I got an “excellent condition” open box monitor. According to the log it has 5k+ hours. Despite that, there’s zero burn in and every game I play now looks incredible

I've only owned one OLED monitor/tv before this one and I was not impressed. It was not bright enough for gaming and caused eye strain.
Deciding to give OLED another chance and this monitor did not disappoint. As someone who takes brightness seriously, it was my main concern in purchasing. In completely bright scenes it may not be as bright as my previous IPS, but it is still bright. It makes up for it in response times, colors, features, etc.

Really glad I went with a 4k 240Hz display. This one is great. It's an OLED of course, which is amazing. It has lines and dirty screen effect typical of OLEDS on a dim grey screen, but it's not noticable when actually using the display. Great colors. Great brightness. Perfect black level. Glossy but not overly reflective. Pretty great.

This monitor is extrmely comparable to the Asus PG27UCDM with most featurs carried over. Saving $200 from that model you have minimal sacrafices, most important DP 2.1, which if you game you will not notice a difference. It still runs 4K 240Hz perfectly. Anyone pairing this with a 5080 or 5090 GPU will absolutely love the results of high FPS, 4K gaming! If you get it, make sure to update the firmware using a USB Drive. It fixed a minor black screen issue i had when setting up.
