I recently upgraded to the ASUS ROG Strix B650 motherboard, I’ve been really impressed with its performance and ease of use. It’s perfect for anyone looking to build a mid-range gaming PC without overspending on features you might not use.
The installation process was smooth, and the layout of the board is well thought out. There’s plenty of space for components, and the multiple fan headers are great for managing cooling. The BIOS is incredibly user-friendly, making it simple to adjust settings or tweak performance without being overwhelming, even for someone who isn’t a hardcore overclocker.
One thing I appreciate is the support for DDR5 RAM, which helps the build. It also has enough M.2 slots for more and fast storage, and the built-in Wi-Fi works like a charm.
On the downside, I had to upgrade the BIOS to the latest version already to be enabled my RAM speeds, but that was not complicated at all and but for a solid, reliable motherboard that hits all the essentials at a reasonable price, I’m really happy with it.
Would definitely recommend it for anyone doing a new Ryzen build!

This motherboard pairs well with most builds. I'm using a 7900XTX GPU with a AMD Ryzen™ 7 7800X3D CPU. Easy to install and cable manage. Motherboard has RGB that looks great. Sorry for my cable mgmt.. Easy to install, cant go wrong with ASUS ROG STRIX

I used this to build a new AMD Ryzen 9700X system. This is a higher end board, and it behaved accordingly. I had some failed overclocks (my fault) and recovering the bios and even upgrading was super easy with the provided instructions. The storage heatsinks so their job well and the board has an overall very pleasing look to it though the other components I used did end up obscuring most of that. Be sure to check you memory QVL when you select your RAM. Remember that booting a new AM5 platform for the first time will take longer than one might expect, be patient.

I very much enjoy this board. The documentation is good, the bios is stellar and it runs COOL. My one complaint is it does not support video alt mode, so I needed to buy a thunderbolt card to use USBC video (even with an adapter it's a no-go). Keep that in mind if you, like me, use AR glasses etc.

Love the features and quality of this motherboard. It was in-stock at my local BB and allowed me to immediately build my PC without having to wait for shipping.

The ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi is the kind of motherboard that makes you feel confident about every other part of your build. The clean white design looks fantastic in a case window, but more importantly, the board delivers stable power delivery, strong VRMs, and all the modern connectivity you could ask for—PCIe 5.0 support, DDR5 up to 6400+, and multiple M.2 slots with heatsinks included. Setup was straightforward, the BIOS is intuitive, and enabling EXPO for my DDR5 memory was painless. Built-in Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5Gb LAN mean you’re future-proofed on networking too. Paired with a Ryzen 9800X3D, this board has been a flawless foundation for gaming, and multitasking. For builders who want reliability, performance, and style in one package, the Strix B650-A hits the perfect balance.

I chose the ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi for a Ryzen 7000-series build focused on 3D printing, creative automation, and gaming. This board hits a sweet spot between price and future-proofing, especially if you’re optimizing for PCIe 5.0 storage and DDR5 memory.
