2 years and still going strong! Best laptop I’ve ever owned!

I had been looking for a good desktop replacement for sometime now. These new 3070 laptops are a mess and you really need a magnifying glass to pick them apart. With that said, this is the 115 watt variant of the 3070 which has a GPU score of 10,956 on time spy and a CPU score of 9500. The short review is this, buy it! I am extremely please despite some minor bugs with the backlit keyboard, but they were easily fixed with updates. Long review, see below. Initially, weight and price were my number one concern when researching laptops. Big mistake, I picked up the ASUS TUF 3070 with the 80 watt variant of the GPU and was disappointed with performance. So next I swooped up the Asus Zephyrus G15, but it was only mildly more powerful and I was disappointed with the speakers, soldered ram and lower wattage GPU. So it was time to think outside the box and saw this little monster pop up. Stronger GPU, top tier processor and no soldered ram for the same price as the Asus Zephryus G15 everyone was recommending. Was I missing something. I couldn't really find reviews on this and decided to buy it. It was a little heavier, but the pro's seemed to outweigh the benefits and they when I unboxed it and ran my favorite games. I was not disappointed. This runs really close to the same speed as my desktop 3070 which is just mind blowing. The processor also takes out my old I7- 5820k which was overclocked at 4.0Ghz. on top of that, this thing looks like a wet bar docked when using an external monitor. Sexy as can be and to think I was going to cancel this order because I was concerned about the screen. It's actually the best part. You really don't need more than 1080p on a 15 inch display.

Overall great! No screen issues whatsoever. It was a bit glitxchy at first and it didn’t update to the newest software at first. But I updated it off the asus website and it works just fine now. I also bought the Zephyrus g15 3070 and tested witcher 3 on both with 1080p and 1440p and there is a definite 20% increase in fps with the higher TDP 3070 and higher wattage ryzen 9. Screen is not as beautiful as the Zephyrus g15 3070 but with a monitor a much better choice. If you want gamer go with this. If you want awsome portability and college student use or for photo/video editing get the Zephyrus. I just wanted this dor gaming. Otherwise would have kept the Zephyrus, it has a few more pluses, but I wanted to upgrade ram and higher fps.

Bought this as a mobile workstation for heavy graphic designing and gaming. So far it has been able to handle what i throw at it effortlessly (despite the fan noise which i assume is normal). My recommendation is you use a USB-C to HDMI cable to maximize the potentional of the RTX3070 as there is no advanced optimus or mux switch.

Very good labtop very happy with purchase battery life is enough

This is a great gaming laptop, but unfortunately the ssd fried and the laptop is now useless after only 2 months. Also there were some backlight issues as well.
