Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the ROG Swift 24" LCD FHD G-SYNC Monitor's high refresh rate, G-SYNC compatibility, and excellent picture quality, frequently praising its performance in gaming. While some find the price high for a 1080p TN panel and note the lack of built-in speakers, the majority of users highlight the monitor's vibrant colors and ease of use. A few users reported issues with dead pixels, but these were not widespread concerns.

Perfect for any competitive gamer wanting an edge. Once you game at 144hz+ with 1ms gtg response time, 60hz isn't acceptable anymore. Everything seems so responsive and fluid. Monitor comes with a nice sturdy stand that's very adjustable. Has good appeal as well. The colors need tweaking out the box. After that the colors aren't washed out. Almost comparable to my IPS panel. The viewing angles are pretty horrible, but this doesn't effect gaming since your head on with the display. G-sync is cool and nice for games like witcher and such, but I have it turned off for my competitive gaming to reduce input lag. I got this monitor on sale for 349.99. The price is a little steep if you can't grab it on sale. I'd still recommend this monitor however.

So far I have had very few issues with the monitor. Colors need to be adjusted when using DP but look fine over HDMI. It shouldn't be advertised as 180hz. While it does overclock to 180 it results in pretty bad static and artifacts. All that being said I feel like the monitor was a steal at $160 open box while on sale for $250 new. If you can pick one up for $300 or less go for it, otherwise look elsewhere. All that being said, it is one of the cheaper G-Sync options available. With freesync monitors working nearly the same and flooding the market for much less it's hard to say if G-Sync is worth the premium anymore.

I love this monitor more than any I have ever owned before in my life. It takes a huge stand against all over monitors literally. The stand is super adjustable vertically (orientation too) and you can swivel it 360 degrees. There is excellent cable management for behind the monitor through the stand and base. Don't even get me started on the screen resolution and the 144hz that comes standard and overclocking capable of 180hz. You can enhance the RGB settings and get some really cool colors and contrast with the updated drivers found on the asus website. I highly recommend this monitor too any gamer and and honestly if you have the extra cash anyone.

This monitor is for gamers. If you don't game, forget it. Just get a IPS panel. I've been looking for a 1080p g-sync monitor for awhile. I was hesitant to order from Amazon or New Egg because of the shipping return policy. I basically didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping stuff back if defects were found. When I heard Best Buy was selling g-sync monitors, I knew this was where I was going to buy one. My monitor was perfect. I was using an old sony 3d PS3 tv as my monitor before. The leap to g-sync made a big difference. The animation in games are more fluid. I could definitely see more frames. I would get dizzy and noxious after playing Doom for an hour on my old monitor. I did not get any headaches on the Asus Rog even after playing Doom for 3 hours. So G-Sync is definitely worth it for eliminating my headaches alone. About the 1ms response time, I didn't think it mattered when playing online. I thought ping was king. However, with this monitor, I can tell the difference. When playing WOW with the same ping as before, my actions felt quicker. It just seems magical. The build quality is excellent. The only settings I changed to get a good picture from initial settings were: Brightness - 35 Color Temp - Normal Turn off DisplayPort Deep Sleep. Then I used the Windows 10 calibrate display color app afterwards. This is definitely the best monitor I have ever owned. You will not regret your purchase.

It is good monitor. Would have been great if it was little cheaper. I would only recommend to buy it when it is on sale. I took one star due to the fact that out of the box colors are horrendous and screen is way too bright. I was aware of that before I bought it. I was able to adjust the monitor to my liking. It is TN panel, not IPS, so this is why colors don't look that great on it. If you are looking for ultimate 1080p gaming monitor, this is it. If looking for just general use monitor there are better and cheaper choices out there.

First off, this monitor is extremely fast! (Especially when overclocked to 180hz). The colors are nice and vibrant, and the G-Sync is an awesome addition to have (My main selling point). The build quality is very great. The stand is high quality and has a nice weight to it. The subtle designs on the monitor are a nice added touch and really make you feel like you're getting what you paid for from a monitor of this price. I think this monitor definitely lives up to the "ROG" title and makes a perfect addition to anyone's setup if you don't mind spending the cash.

My biggest concern with this was the fact that it has a TN panel. As a die hard IPS 60hz guy, I really didn't want to sacrifice my picture quality. After a bit of setup this thing is PHENOMENAL! The colors and contrast are on point! This monitor is a PERFECT match for my GTX 1070 and up, and the G Sync is another outstanding feature that works!!! Seriously, don't let the price steer you away, this WILL be the best gaming experience you can possibly have with a monitor. BUY IT.

I decided to give this monitor a try because I really wanted to try out G-SYNC. It was on sale for a great price and I couldn't turn it down. I'm coming from a 1440p ASUS PB278Q 60hz monitor. I was hesitant to go back to 1080p, but the hz on this monitor made it okay. I have a Titan X Maxwell, but getting 180 frames is pretty difficult even at 1080p. I could totally tell the difference when the monitor was running about 144ish hz, and gameplay was super smooth. I wanted to try 60hz again to see if there was an difference, and it was almost unplayable. Pretty amazing how that works. For the cons, the colors are not as vibrant as IPS. That was my main complaint, but I knew that coming into a TN panel. It can be fixed with a little changes in the NVIDIA Control Panel . Wont be perfect, but much better out of the box. I ended up returning this monitor, however, because the bigger brother (ASUS PG279Q) was on sale for a great price. I just had to go back to 1440p and an IPS panel. If I was on the market for a 1080p 144hz+ monitor again, I would totally go back to this monitor in a heart beat.

The Asus PG248Q is a excellent monitor for gaming. The most important part of this monitor is the 180hz refresh rate typically if you have a GPU that can handle it. This monitor is a TN panel so colors won't be as sharp as a gaming IPS display. If you are a content creator I wouldn't recommend this to you but for gaming oh yes. The build quality is actually pretty good I have to say. Asus you did a great job with this one.

This monitor is a SOLID monitor, it's build quality is outstanding. It's the heaviest screen I've ever owned, virtually no flex. Not only is it beefy, but it looks slick. The mechanics of it are also very well done, it slides up and down great, tilts, and rotates very smoothly. Picture quality is DECENT. Not the best, but its OK. If you want a screen for slower paced MMO's or Video watching... look at another monitor. If you want SPEED, for FPS's.. you've come to the right place. 180 (overclocked) frames is super smooth. I will say however, there is a noticeable line texture. Almost like the pixels are more pronounced than another monitor. You can still see it in games, but only if you're really looking for it. Chances are, you're busy blowing holes in your enemy to even care. If you're a stickler about these details, maybe look elsewhere or wait for the technology to advance some more. Overall its a decent screen that can keep up with the best video cards out there, but sacrificing on picture details. I gave it 3 stars because it's just too dang expensive. Wait for sales or refurbished units for a better deal.

Months ago, even though I was achieving 60 frames per second in all of my games, I still wasn't satisfied. When I moved the camera around my character in an RPG, the background looked jarring. When turning quickly in first person shooters, it was hard to make out enemies. I learned that there were monitors on the market that would let you have frame rates higher than 60 frames per second and so I bought the PG248Q after doing some research. It was a great decision. The difference between a 60Hz monitor and a 144Hz monitor is insane. When either I'm moving or someone else is moving, it feels much more lifelike. Although the monitor does let you overclock it, my screen looks a little pixelated at 180Hz so I keep it at 144Hz. The colors look very good for a TN panel (but still nothing on an IPS) and the 24 inch display is actually a little larger than I would like since I sit less than three feet away from the screen normally. With a resolution of 1080p, my GTX 1080 easily takes advantage of the high refresh rate, getting the full 144 frames per second in games. To take full advantage of this monitor, you should be using it with a pc that has an Nvidia card to use G-Sync. If you're looking for a monitor for your PlayStation, Xbox, or pc with an AMD card, I'd pass on this one since the reason it costs this much is because of the 144Hz and the G-Sync. So yeah. Let your Nvidia card use this and enjoy some really beautiful gameplay.

I love this monitor. I got it primarily for gaming and after reading a lot of the reviews I got kinda worried as to whether or not it would be as good as everyone claimed. Turns out, they were right. Response time is top class, great quality, looks beautiful and runs without any issues. Highly recommended. 144Hz Refresh Rate is also a great touch along with a 1ms response time.

Bought for my 13 year old son who has like this NASA Mission Control Center set up for gaming in his room! This screen is his main horizontal one. Good enough color depth. Refreshes fine. And handles his gaming without complaints of being laggy. He is a happy camper and as any parent with a teenager knows, a happier teenager is a happier house! We did buy the cheaper open box Excellent Condition one first but right away my son noticed a dead pixel so we returned it and just got a fully unopened new one and no problems since. Easy exchange return at Best Buys.

Colors are a little blown out and overclocking to 180 Hz can causes some scan lines to appear, but the GSYNC feature and high refresh rate make it great for PC gaming. All in All a little pricey, but a good monitor

Great monitor, refresh rate, Little to no motion blur, overclocking capability is a plus. Decent colors after calibrations, G sync really adds to the gaming experience by creating a fluid image throughout it's range, but Mine came with a small flickering problem, ( Pixel inversion ) and a few more dead pixels than I'd like for a new product, will try exchanging it and hope for better quality with the second one. Otherwise this is one of the best monitors in it's class.

This is NOT your typical PC Monitor. This Asus was built for GAMING!!! Unfortunately I had to find this out the hard way. I am a casual gamer and don't spend hours on end shooting bad guys. In addition to other things like waiting too long to return it and to tweek it, I am basically now stuck with it. And even spending hours trying to tweek this for normal use like, streaming movies or going on FB it's obvios I made a Big Mistake. Part of why I jumped to buy this was, this is a $400 Monitor that was on sale here at Best Buy for $300. without spending time reading the reviews that also mention it's built for the Hard Core Gamer in mind. As for the other end of this monitor. It's Very Well Built, Something I noticed right away when I was unboxing it. It is Strong and Sturdy. It was also nice to see the Monitor and Monitor Stand were already attached, so no tools needed. I also like the smaller size of the screen as it fit's my desk perfectly. As for my Final Thoughts. It would be wrong for me to give this a Low Star score. Because with the little gaming I have done, this is a powerful and very cool monitor to use. It really wouldn't be fair for me to give it a bad score since I'm the only one to blame for buying it as a casual gamer in the first place. I do hope I can save other casual gamers from making the same mistake I made.
