The Zephyrus is very light, very powerful, and has good battery life. I was initially worried about the CPU temperature as shown in the Armory app, but have not had any issues. I did purchase a laptop cooler just to be safe!

The ROG Zephyrus G14 is a Great machine, light, fast and sleak. With the Ryzen 9 6900HS and Radeon graphics. I have recommended this machine to several people.

*Good: Solid build quality (no noticeable flex). Very portable, slim and lightweight, especially for a gaming laptop. Has a bright screen, and the colors seem to pop well. Battery life is also great for a gaming laptop (probably up to 7-8 hours for light productivity use and not using google chrome). Nice trackpad and had no issues with it. Also no issue with the keyboard. RGB is cool. *Bad: Within the first 2 hours of opening this brand new laptop, I ran into a black screen issue, where after booting up and right after logging in, the screen will turn black. This was annoying. After 5 restarts it somehow went away and booted like normal. This seems to be a common problem for this 2022 unit, as I came across several complaints of the same issue posted to reddit. Blue screened when installing drivers/updates through windows update in settings. Backlight bleed on my unit was pretty bad. Gaming performance was pretty great, HOWEVER the laptop ran hot. Monitoring CPU temperature with hwinfo64 showed 91-92C on average when playing Watch Dogs 2 on high settings. This was even with the laptop raised using a stand for better air flow, but temperatures were still not ideal. On top of that the chassis near the top of the keyboard and the hinge got VERY HOT to the touch. So expect this thing to run especially hot for AAA titles. But for older and less demanding titles, temperatures will probably be fine. A little nit-pick is that the keys are white and so when you turn on the backlighting, it's kind of hard to read. 16GB of total RAM, but 8GB is soldered to the motherboard. So limited upgradeability here. **Conclusion: I returned this laptop. The black screen issue was not a good first impression and the HOT temperatures for an older AAA game (Watch Dogs 2) was enough for me to leave it. It's a shame, because the build quality feels solid and its light weight makes it very portable.

Very high quality laptop, my friend just got a laptop that has more power but doesn’t feel nearly as high quality or durable as this one does.

Honestly any flaw is minor. Everything on this laptop made me change from full desktop. I don’t think ill go back to a busy desk for gaming

Pretty disappointed in this laptop. Bought this to replace a Razer Blade Stealth which was rock solid. I do like the keyboard on this better than the Razer as I do a lot of typing for work. The screen on this is also nice, but those are the only benefits. This machine overheats and randomly shuts off while gaming. I keep it running by using a cooling stand with fans. This is with playing games on medium to low settings. I have done all the updates including the BIOS update with no change. Something just doesn't seem right with the graphics. I play RDR II mostly and it looks unnatural compared to the Razer. I also have to run this on lower settings which I think is strange given the specs on this are superior to my Razer which is several years old now. The battery does not last anywhere near what s advertised. It will not go into sleep mode. If you shut the lid, walk away and come back a couple hours later the fans are running and the computer is putting off some serious heat. The speakers cause something in the computer to vibrate. The plastic bottom is also cheap. I can assure you this has never been set down hard or dropped it, but the front corner where one of the screws are is cracked. Seems this was probably overtightened during assembly causing this (see picture). I had an old Asus prior to the Razer which was great but this one not so much. I would avoid this computer.

Lots of power in a small space. Size really doesn't matter in this case. Plenty of rooms for several games, amazing graphics.would definitely recommend to other gamers.

After doing a lot of research, I decided to get the ROG Zephyrus G14. However, I soon found out that buying this product is like going to Vegas and playing the slot machine. You’ll be gambling and the unit you get will either be a hit or miss. Yesterday, I went to BestBuy to purchase one unit in store. While setting everything up (Windows update, BIOS update, etc), I hit the black screen and auto shutdown issue that many other people have posted before. I thought I was just one of the unlucky few and went back to BestBuy today to get a second unit. The 2nd unit didn’t have an issue with black screen or auto shutdown but instead had an issue with overheating and the fan not turning on at all, causing the keyboard area to get relatively uncomfortable. Please refer to my attached pictures for more info. Right now, I’m writing this review as I think about whether or not to try buying a 3rd unit or giving up on Asus. This is my first time buying Asus and I chose this particular model because of the price value relative to Razer and Alienware. However, I think this model might be cheaper for a reason as such horrendous quality control is really something I have never experienced before on a big computer hardware brand.

Great computer! It arrived quicker then I expected. Very happy with it. Easy to carry in a standard size back pack and who doesn't love a rainbow keyboard :)

Loving this new gaming laptop. It's compact and lights but punches with a lot of power to play intensive games.

Purchased for my son for gaming. Seems great so far. Lightweight, great packaging.

The ASUS G14 is great so far. Love it. So far so good but only time will tell. I am a big AMD fan so I have high hopes.

this article is of very bad quality. my computer restarts every 5 minutes and overheats. Very bad experience, because of my work I had to take it out of the country and the return time passed. Bad bad AND bad... The computer was not connecting to Wi-Fi either. the computer did not have the driver
