Great but…
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been a user of the G14 since the initial 2020 model. My overall review of this laptop is great, however, I’ve noticed a major drop in battery life on idle between this one and the 2020 model. I use to get 5-7 hours on idle or light internet browsing. But with the 6800s model, I only get about 1-3 hours of light browsing until I need to recharge. Disappointed with the drop in battery life, but the unit is a powerful machine.

Good gaming laptop option
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.*would probably be 4.5/5 but not given that option I wanted a decent gaming laptop that would also function as kind of an every night use laptop that lets me close my other laptop that I use for work My only real con is that it does get way too hot too fast but not to the point where you're worried about it's viability For the sale price I got it at, def worth the value, but at regular price I would look around a bit before deciding between this or a Legion 5/7 Either way, very happy with my purchase after the first few weeks

Excellent laptop but can get hot to the touch
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is great. I don’t think it’s worth paying the full $1899 price though because the 2023 4070 g14 would be the better value. 1 star off due to being extremely hot. The laptop would shut down on me even in performance mode while gaming. Had to switch to turbo to play anything.

4/5 great performance still needs thermals fixed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs great, open box was in perfect shape but one con is that it's not a 6800M and even with that it gets CRAZY hot. Make sure you run the fans high on even a medium load on the video card otherwise you'll get burns on your lap.

Very good, what I was expecting.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs perfectly got what I want it to do. Runs games I wanna play very nicely. Only problem is it heats up fast and gets pretty loud when playing games. Don’t expect to play games very long without it plugged in though.

Great Laptop, but Not Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like how small and portable this laptop is and that it handles pretty much all I throw at it. Its almost perfect however there are a couple of things that prevent it from getting there in my eyes. First, it only has 1 M.2 slot that is occupied with the storage it comes with. I would like to be able to upgrade the storage without having to replace it. Second, it does get hot, even when not running sonething intense. I noticed it while working on MS Word that it would get hot. Other than that, its a great computer.

Best 14 inch laptop for the money!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best 14 inch display laptop for the money! Performance for an under 1000 laptop is astounding! Video is good and memory I perfect at this price point. Looked at and even tried several other laptops. They don't compare at this price. You can do better but plan on spending 300 to 500 more.

All Good So Far, Gets Warm Before Config,
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Context: I've had it for about a week. Everything I could want in a laptop; great keyboard and trackpad, solid build quality, awesome screen that gets bright enough so i can work inside or out. Battery lasts 8-9 hours of 'typical' use It gets hot, though! Takes some messing about in the Armory Crate software to get the settings right to do what you want. Typical use (YouTube, web browsing, few word docs open) doesn't get noticeably hot and even during heavy use the fans aren't loud enough to affect gaming experience. Also: I've got one or two random BSOD, but i'm fairly sure that's a Windows 11 issue.

Great buy for a College student + gamer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If it's 1200 ish, blind buy for a portable powerhouse, though it might be worth considering the new 4060 model if it's the same price, for the slight performance increase, but more importantly, Cuda and Dlss + FSR Support. Also general updates to a better processor and a better webcam make it the better deal at the same price.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this on a good sale for 1400. it's a beast of a computer. gets toasty when gaming but you're not going to find a laptop that doesn't. it's compact and powerful. beautiful screen, good battery life, Windows Hello, keyboard is nice to type on. Asus software is great in my opinion, feels polished compared to my MSI.

Buttery smooth, beautiful machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have enjoyed using this machine for the past month. Came from a 2018 Dell XPS15 that ran way too hot even doing the simplest tasks. This machine runs much cooler (still gets hot when pushed, but haven't noticed throttling). Coming from a 15 in screen, I don't really notice the smaller screen size because the 16:10 aspect ratio makes the screen feel much bigger. I've gotten solid battery life, about 6 hours when limiting the battery to 80% max charge doing moderate productivity tasks (many tabs, note apps, watching videos). I love the aesthetics of the device. Keyboard travel is great for a thin and light laptop and is so satisfying to type on. Only gripes I have is I wish it had a fingerprint reader and sleeping the machine actually worked (Windows issue though, not Asus).

Amazing Laptop for work and play
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very impressed with this laptop. Not only is it extremely powerful, the build quality is also outstanding. The magnesium build is sturdy as well as light, and the keyboard and track pad are almost perfect. Not only this but the battery life is also very impressive and will allow me to use this laptop for work on the go.

Good as a laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gets fairly warm off of light-medium use. But it's not terrible. Would almost recommend a cooling pad for heavy use. Doesn't replace my desktop though.

New to PC gaming. Very satisfied!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been interested in PC gaming for a while but was always hesitant to jump in. It seemed like more of a hassle than consoles. I finally jumped in a few months ago and everything has worked seamlessly up to this point. Super easy to set up and every game I’ve tried runs really well. Very happy with this purchase.

Great Performance for any Needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Laptop has been great for productivity and gaming. Whether I use this as my work machine or to game on the go, this holds up very well. My only conolaint is that the battery life could be better, but only marginally. Overall a great purchase.

Excellent Laptop After a few Tweaks
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is amazing as a portable gaming device. Great battery life on the go, great performance when plugged in. Here are some tweaks that helped me fix most issues commonly mentioned: In MyAsus, limit battery charging to 60% and turn off wifi smart connect. This is EXTREMELEY IMPORTANT. Then, look up “rog zephyrus g14 regedit” on youtube and apply the settings mentioned there for heat issues. Finally, use the manual mode in Armory crate and limit the first slider to 30-40. U can tweak the fans too.
