Customers value the ROG Zephyrus 15.6" QHD Gaming Laptop's performance, build quality, and graphics capabilities, frequently praising its excellent gaming performance and portability. However, some users express concerns regarding the device's tendency to overheat and generate noticeable fan noise, while others find the speakers and lack of a built-in webcam to be shortcomings. Positive feedback also highlights the laptop's impressive refresh rate and comfortable keyboard. The lightweight design is another frequently cited advantage.

This PC is a beast with options to be upgraded even more. The quality control issues seem to be better with the later produced models. The display could be brighter but 300 nits works for most environments.

Excellent laptop. We are using it for a CAD designer. It's great for site visits when the 3D modeling of the project is required for ensuring that all trades are installing their respective equipment properly.

Computer is nice; Customer support sucks

This computer is nice however the charger is a problem. This is a gaming series laptop for gaming which is what I am using it for. 60 days into ownership the AC adapter overheated and broke (was placed on hard flooring so no blankets or pillows trapping heat). This should not happen. The charger should be sufficient to power and charge the system with a buffer so that it doesn’t overheat. Since this one did, it means it is not sufficient for the power needs of the system. Problem #1, they are shipping a supply that is not sufficient.
Problem #2 and my larger complaint here is customer support for getting this problem broken charger addressed. After some searching, I was able to find a phone number for Asus to report the issue and get a new charger (again 60 days in). Many years ago, I had a similar issue with another manufacturer, and it took maybe 5 minutes start to finish to get the charger replaced so I expected a similar experience with Asus. Boy was I wrong! I spent an hour on the phone with someone to have them tell me to take the computer to Best Buy to see if they could help me and if not to call back. That was completely nuts in my opinion as Best Buy was not going to be able to address this issue which I of course stated to them. I finally got this person to set-up an RMA for them to then tell me I will need to pay for shipping. Again, what!? Why am I having such an issue getting a charger replaced on a system that is 60 days old? Flabbergasted I said that was asinine. They then advised they’d provide one for me if it was an inconvenience to which I said this whole thing is an inconvenience. They then put me on hold for the 6th or 7th time to then come back and say they were having an issue and would need to escalate it to a higher support team and that team would be in contact in 24-48 hours. I decided while I wait for this other team to call me, I would go to Best Buy on the off chance I was wrong. I was not. The Geek Squad person was as helpful as he could be with the situation, but ultimately my original assumption of them telling me to call Asus for a replacement was correct. So back to square one. All this to get a new charger, which I still don’t have, nor do I have a commitment from the company to provide to me.
Bottomline, Asus products might be great but I will not ever purchase another as their customer support leaves a lot to be desired and I caution anyone else considering a purchase to think twice.

Wifi card is terrible

The installed network card (Mediatek MT7921) is terrible. I am consistently getting disconnected and seeing spikes of high ping & rubberbanding. For a "gaming" laptop, that's pretty unacceptable, it essentially makes any competitive game unplayable. I can confirm this is not an issue with my Wifi or router, I had no issues prior to getting this laptop, and I see no issues on any other devices I own. It seems I'm not the only one, I see discussions online of people who buy a different network card (AX200) and swap it out. I would have hoped I wouldn't need to open this thing up for how much it costs. Disappointed in this laptop, don't think I'll buy an ASUS again.

Dear Rollthehardsix,
We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing connection problem with the WIFI device.
To resolve the issue, please verify if the laptop is within range to an established wireless router or access point. Also, please verify if the laptop is running with the most current Windows and wireless LAN driver update. You may also need to go in the Device Manager, Network adapters, click on the Wireless LAN then click on the Power Management tab, unchecked the boxes and click the "OK" button to save the changes.
Should you need further assistance, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat.
Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

With the AMD Ryzen 9 chip you can set the device to turn off the RTX chip when you are on battery. The system on a chip from AMD is far more power efficient than Intel. Thus, if you aren't going to play games but just sitting on the couch using the laptop for just browsing, that is a wonderful battery-saving addition.
The build is excellent and the design is beautiful. The body feels solid and the screen is crisp and smooth. I am amazed with the 1440p 165hz model on this machine. The trackpad is the best I've used on a PC laptop and the keyboard is just perfect with size and location.
I am really happy with my purchase and honestly just for comparing purpose overall, the Asus ROG is a better machine than the AORUS 15P XD (I returned).

This my third zephyrus within a month Asus needs better quality control a specially with this kinda expensive laptops. Screen has a huuuuge flaw issue is obviously not pleasing when u paying high price for the low quality product. Also would like to add that best buy open box experience was terrible too designated as a excellent condition without any damages or scratches turned out as laptop arrived with keyboard backlight has a issue and back of the laptop notch has a two scurf's from previous owners hard use.

Same as the other reviews concerning the speakers. Absolutely terrible. I had one that was blown right out of the box. Sent it in through geek squad for repair. Got it back a couple of weeks later, speaker worked but no bass at all. Listening to people talking on YouTube is absolutely terrible. You have to have a little bit of bass to have the full range of sound. I do not recommend this product.
