Such a great laptop overall.

Sometimes it can act up with the lag tho, but its not THAT noticeable. Love the keyboard and touchpad feel. Also, the USB is kinda hard to put in (?)

The spacebar gets pretty warm but not too bad. It has an amazing screen even though 16 inch is a little on the smaller side for me. Overall thickness is barely larger than the Ethernet port but I wouldn't mind it being a little bit bigger if it meant better cooling. Battery life watching videos is around 2 hours without turning on power saving mode. Overall a good laptop but definitely better to catch it on sale.

Poor backlight bleed and color gamut - Great rest

Every single one had very poor backlight bleed on the screen edges making it unusable. Also note then compared to the QHD models the color gamut is very poor the reds look orange almost. I highly recommend if you must have this to pay a little more and get the QHD model of whichever you want to get. Also note only the 2022 and later models have windows hello face ID unlock which is invaluable compared to the 2021 fingerprint ID which is terrible. These models perform amazingly well but have extremely loud fans you must be aware of when gaming as well. You can use silent mode in armoury crate to remedy this but just be aware of it.

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.
All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections. Certainly, backlight bleeding is never normal. However, slight glow around the corners is a normal condition called IPS glow which is very visible on high brightness, dark visuals or dark screen or environment. It is normal just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like, while gaming, during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. Please make sure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

QC problem on either BestBuy or ASUS

I bought the laptop brand new and when I'm about to open the package the seal tape is already striped, there were no plastic wraps on the laptop itself and charger and not to mention there are physical scratch and white powder like dirt on the laptop. Extremally disappointed. As of laptop: Pros: Amazing display Great gaming/video editing experience Cons: Fans are VERY loud during Turbo mode A bit hot low battery life (about 4hrs no gaming & no high intensity work)

Might be a problem with windows rather than the device itself. Happy with the purchase especially at $1000.
