Best laptop to price ratio. This laptop is an INSANE value. Whether it’s full price or sale price, can’t go wrong with this laptop. Performance is really good, runs all latest games with really high frames, stays relatively cool, chassis doesn’t feel cheap, feels well built. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Performs very well, here is a benchmark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/65682353
Using it on a cooling pad and temps stay great. Runs most games on max @ 1080p easy. 70-120fps depending on game. I read online the screen was poor but no issues using it at my home. G-Sync 144hz works well.

Overall performance is good, I use it mostly for educational projects. One issue (maybe not an issue) shows up, sometimes the screen flickers in the middle of work.

Build Quality:
Strong plastic design on the on the base of the laptop with the display having more flex easily but should be fine for most people. Has a head phone jack. The intake fans which are at the bottom seems thin enough to be blocked by paper under it.
Interior:
The interior of the laptop is a smooth matte black which leaves fingerprint or streaks which is easily removable. Has a key pad and the volume button is place top left with a mic mute for discord players. A function key for muting, keyboard lighting, keyboard rgb pattern, fan modes (3 modes), sniping tool, display brightness, connecting additional monitor, idk what 10 does, sleeping mode, and airplane mode.
Keyboard:
The bending on the keyboard is a stiff near wasd keys and up until g or h which is a light bend you wouldn't feel. You can change the color of the keyboard to four settings, static, breathing, strobing, and color cycle. The keyboard isn't too small with the number pad but you do rest your palm over the touchpad. This does not effect the mouse moving or clicking. Touchpad is smooth plastic but nice quality with the bottom left/right needing to press down further. You can rest your hands on this keyboard for hours with it being sore. The keys feel nice to type on and easier to type with the rgb keyboard at night.
Display:
250 nits of brightness
100% sRGB, 75% Adobe, 16:9, 1080p, IPS
Fan Noises:
Silent - 0 dB (does kick in the fan randomly)
Performance - 30 - 45 dB
Turbo - 50 - 60 dB
CPU: 60 C Idle, 80-85 Gaming
GPU: 50 C idle, 65-77 Gaming
Misc: The keys 8,j,u,i,k,m, and right space bar part have a lighting problem with different colors like a deep blue even though I have a light blue for my keyboard or just white. I and K have 1/4 of the lighting complete gone, just pitch black but if you don't really care or notice it that often. It's fine

Solid laptop for price, has good specs. I like that i can upgrade ram up to 32gbs and also add an extra NVME SSD to empty slot, very simple to do. Looks modern and not too bulky and clunky like some cheaper laptops, very sleek. I like connecting to my 4k tv for better media viewing.

Best Black Friday Purchase

This laptop is honestly the greatest highlight of my Black Friday purchase. Great performance to price ratio. The specs and features that Asus offers with this machine are top-notch. You can play all the games you want at high frames without any issues, considering its display is only 1080p, but trust me its sufficient. Nice build quality, good cooling (Turn on whisper mode)
The only downside I can say, which doesn't really bother me much, is the audio and camera. Audio is a little bit low, even on max. Camera.. i could say is typically what you get on average laptops, but those are just little things compared to all the great things it can actually do.

I can't deny that the first thing that caught my attention, probably like you, was the laptop's specifications. A mobile RTX 4070, i7 12700H, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 90 Wh 4 cell battery, 1TB NVME PCI-E 4.0 SSD, at only 979 DOLLARS!?!?!!? I NEED TO BUY IT AND TRY IT!!!!
It was definitely the best decision, as I was amazed by the battery life, which shines when the laptop is set to Eco mode in Armory Crate. It is perfect for college, as it lasts no less than 7 hours with reduced brightness (~40%), keyboard off and Eco mode. I can forget about charging it, sometimes for up to a day.
Performance wise, it outperforms my old desktop PC with a Ryzen 7 5800X and a legendary GTX 1080 Ti. I can enjoy working software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, AutoCAD, Inventor, After Effects, etc., which run smoothly, effortlessly. I also think the screen colors are decent and can be calibrated, so if you're looking for something casual it won't disappoint.
Games run at high refresh rates, especially shooters and MOBAS. I've tried CS2, Battlefield 2042, SMITE, Battlefront 2, Forza Horizon 5, GTA V and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, with all of which I notice good behavior, the fans don't go crazy, and the temperatures are very good (it seems the liquid metal does make a difference).
The construction of the laptop is solid, as the plastic used is hard and of high quality. The keyboard is comfortable, has good lighting and is easy to adjust to. The touchpad is phenomenal, as it has gestures, and the detection and tracking are very well done. The microphone does a good job of picking up your voice clearly and reducing external noise. The speakers are decent, but they don't stand out much, as the sound is flat. The same I can say about the webcam, which is not the strongest point of this laptop, but I really feel that at this price, you have to make some sacrifices.
In conclusion, I think this laptop is very balanced and delivers what it promises in terms of features. I got the deal on Black Friday, but it tends to be on sale often, so stay tuned. I personally think this is one of the best laptops for the price for 2023-2024, you definitely won't go wrong with this one if you need something for work and gaming.

Excellent laptop! Ran games like Starfield, HellDivers and Forza Horizon 5 on high graphics settings (not max) averaging around 70-100 FPS with Nvidia DLSSS enabled. I personally upgraded from the stock 16GB ram to 32GB. The 1TB M.2 drive is great and along with all the built in Asus features it comes with. It allows you to optimize the laptop to your own convenience! Whether it's for gaming and pushing the limits of performance or casual general use of the laptop for long duration. Either way, a great machine and worth every penny spent on it!

Been using this for games and regular activities without a hitch since December (got it on Sale). Travels great and I am always on a plane so that was important. Light enough to pack, love the various features like great graphics, display, keyboard, RGB lights, USB slots.... GTX4070 makes a huge difference in games coming from a GTX 2080Super and any sort of graphics display just pops. I upgraded the RAM and added another SSD. Couldn't be happier for that price. Battery does run down quick if you don't manage what runs in background but it's manageable.

This was for my son. He is very much into gaming. He likes the speed and graphics. Battery holds about 3 to 4 hours without recharging. Great laptop for middle range gaming.
On a good point not to do with the laptop, he paid me back for it with he’s first job income.

Delivering on all fronts, the ASUS TUF 15.6" Gaming Laptop is a powerful machine. Gaming and multitasking are made easy by the Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. A sophisticated touch is added by the Mecha Grey design, and fast load times are guaranteed by the 1TB SSD. The laptop is a dependable option because of its sturdy construction, effective cooling system, and outstanding performance to portability ratio. Whether it be for work or play. I would heartily suggest this laptop to anyone in need of a high-performance device because it has beyond my expectations.

This laptop was one of the cheaper 4070s out there, really good for its black Friday value. I really like the feel of everything and games have been running at ultra and high without issues except if you have intensive additions like ray tracing at higher levels but even then you will be around the higher 60+. My only issue is with the keyboard because some functions are gone such as skipping for music but even then its still a great layout that even has a mic mute button, cool aura colors. Lovely

Can’t say enough good things about this laptop. Bought it on sale and it delivers for sure. The slight downside is DDR4 RAM but with it being expandable to 32GB it’s a non-issue. I bought 2x16GB 3200 SODIMM replacements (there’s only 2 slots for RAM) and I have seen no performance delays in all the latest games. One annoyance is the noise, the fans do get loud so will probably look into a cooling mat. Otherwise, highly recommend this to anyone looking for a budget-friendly gaming laptop.

This was an amazing deal at the time I purchased it almost a year ago. For about $1,000 I couldn't find a better combination of specs anywhere else. I've used gaming laptops in the past, and none have come close to the experience this offers. In full disclosure, I am not a power user when it comes to gaming despite what my username implies, so my views of this device are coming from someone who is very satisfied with not pushing the boundaries of my hardware. That being said, I know a good PC when I see one and this right here is amazing. It's quiet, much more quiet than any laptop I've ever used, whether it be a gaming machine or just a school device. It runs hot but I've been using it every single day for a year now, with gaming sessions lasting upwards of 6 hours a day. It has never overheated, never dropped frames, never had any issues at all. If I had to complain about anything it would be the small SSD size and the battery life, but those are very minor and easily fixed.

I got this ASUS TUF F15 gaming laptop only because my sister got me hooked on a game, and my old Lenovo yoga 7i wasn't getting it done.
I was blown away that this laptop can handle that game on medium/high settings with a few set to ultra. I've never had a dedicated video card before so that took a little getting used to. And the Armoury crate software was daunting at first. But it is quick, easy and intuitive.
I did have a problem with the laptop freezing whenever I exited the game. But doing a little research the problem has been fixed. In the Armoury Crate I have my GPU mode set to ultimate. And the game visual set to vivid. The refresh rate is great and even though I do play through Wi-Fi, I have not had any lagging or drop FPS. I don't use the battery so I cannot comment on that part.
Streaming videos the picture is crisp and vibrant. Just make sure to update everything when you first set it up. Especially all your drivers.
When I went to my local Best buy a salesperson asked if he could help me, and I showed him the laptop that I was interested in. He only said that they do not have it in stock at that store and I have to go somewhere else. And then he walked away.
But there was a most awesome young man there by the name of Chanir. He actually works for Intel and not Best Buy. He took the time to answer all my questions, show me how things work on a few laptops, and gave me some tips and pointers on each one. He spent about 30 to 40 minutes with me. And the young man that checked me out, I believe his name was Terell, was kind and patient. I actually leased the laptop and I was trying to use a gift card to pay down the price so I wouldn't have to pay as much for the lease.
Final verdict: this Asus laptop only cost about $200 more than my Lenovo. But it blows it away. Hands down.
I just wish the Best Buy customer service was a lot better. It's sad that someone that doesn't even work there has better customer service than they do. High five Chanir!

I got this laptop on Sale for $979 and it's a great performer. I did upgrade ram to 32GB and added an additional 2TB SSD drive but it's a great performer without.
Runs every game I play just fine at high or ultra settings, currently playing Cyberpunk 2077 at high settings with most of the RT features turned on, stays mostly above 100fps.
If you're in the market for a very good laptop on a lower budget, you can't go wrong with this one.

I needed to replace my gaming laptop but didn’t want to spend a couple thousand dollars. I play WoW, Elden Ring, Mass Effect, and Division 2. This laptop handles them all without a problem. It’s lightweight and the 4070 was a big upgrade for me. This was the laptop with the best specs for the price range I was looking for and I shopped around for a couple months before committing. I have no complaints and only positive things to say.

I purchased this laptop beginning of 2024, so I’ve had it for almost two years now. This thing runs strong just like the day I got it. It’s not gonna max the newer games, but it’ll play them plently well enough, especially considering it was $1,000 flat.
