Customers regard the TUF DASH 15.6" Gaming Laptop favorably for its performance, SSD speed, and battery life, frequently praising its build quality and value for the price. However, some users noted that the fan can be loud and the device may overheat during intensive use, while the lack of a webcam was also a common complaint. The relatively small storage capacity was another point of concern for some customers.

My Pros: - Good build quality, this laptop was thinner than I expected when I first unboxed it. - The RTX 3060, while still not using the max available watts Nvidia allows, 85W is better than most of the other laptops I've seen in this price range. It plays all my games at high or ultra settings, you can even game at 1440p high/ultra settings or 4k on less demanding games when you plug this into an external monitor. - The 11th gen i7 chip, This chip runs much cooler than the 10th gen i7 without any undervolting necessary (BTW you can't undervolt 11th gen). The highest reported temp I had was 93C under heavy load. Zero issues with thermal throttling. I know people are complaining about losing 2 cores but in my games and programs, I didn't notice any difference from last gens 6 core i7 and this 4 core 11th gen. - Has an extra slot for an additional SSD - USB C charging! - Thunderbolt 4 - The battery protection feature is great, it keeps your battery from constantly being charged if you keep it plugged in all the time. My Cons: - Fingerprint Magnet! I Really dislike how greasy this thing gets from fingerprints. (This brought my rating down from 4 stars to 3 stars) - No MUX switch for picking the GPU you want to use ( video out through the thunderbolt port only goes through the Intel Iris Graphics) - Fans are on the higher pitched side - The screen could be brighter and more colorful - No SD Card reader

This ASUS TUF Dash F15 Gaming Laptop has top-of-the-line features for a relatively low price. It boasts state-of-the-art features such as Thunderbolt 4, a 40Gbps transfer rate on a USB Type-C connector that offers 15 watts to 100 watts of charging power for your laptop or other device, support for 10Gbps networking, and support sending a video signal to two 4K displays or to one 8K display. Another feature is WiFi6 / AX support, which anyone like me, who has purchased and installed an Eero Pro 6 Mesh Router that is not backwards compatible with older WiFi protocols, will find it to be a total, connected, speedy relief. Add to that an Intel Core i7-10870H Processor with 16M Cache, 16Gb of DDR4 3200 RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Graphics Card and you have a powerhouse! All this comes in an attractive, slightly over 4 lb. low-profile package with a turquoise LED lighted, very responsive keyboard and a very acceptable 15.6-inch 144hz FHD display that performs well with the games that I play, as well as my photo editing and CAD designing. One more bonus is that you can expand the SSD storage with up to an 1TB drive. All this for a great price!

Im a big gamer, have been gaming on primarily consoles my entire life but got into PC gaming about 10-11 years ago when I built my first pc. I have since built many in that time. However, I see myself more of a hobby builder than power user anymore. So I sold my latest build about a year ago and have since relied on my work laptop and xbox series x and ps5 to get me through. This set up has been great but my job started locking down many more programs and sites due to a hack we had so many of the sites I liked to visit to stream sport events got locked. I also started missing gaming on a computer and wanted to get back to having all of the latest devices so I wouldnt miss a release. So thats when I started my hunt for a laptop, Initially I just wanted a basic laptop that could stream my sports and also let me do basic web browsing. So I got a super basic current Celeron laptop which was ok but extremely slow due to that cpu and 4gb of RAM. So I decided I needed to upgrade and to do it right. So I decided a i5/i7 or Ryzen 5/7 with minimum 16GB RAM and a minimum 3060 was my goal. I was expecting to pay around $1400 for a slimmer laptop with those specs. I hopped on here first because I simply love bestbuys product pages and reviews. Usually super clean and easy to use. Thats when I came across this. I started doing research and general consensus was it was good for price but nothing to write home about. Well maybe its because I was coming from an awful laptop, but this thing has blown me away. First off, the size is perfect. Its a large enough laptop to provide plenty of screen real estate, a comfortable keyboard, and good IO selection. The overall thickness is also great. Its a pretty slim laptop considering the specs shoved inside. The build quality is phenomenal. Is majority plastic but it feels premium. I use a high end $2500 laptop for work and also used that basic celeron laptop so I know the scale, this feels much more in line with the $2500 laptop than the $200 one. First thing I did was remove the back cover so I could add an NVME drive. I already have a HUGE game library on all the various launchers, so 500gb just wasnt going to cut it. I had a 1TB nvme laying around and decided to plop that in. Removing the back was extremely easy. There were alot of screws and not all were same size, so suggest organizing in a way that you know where each one goes back to when putting together. But overall it was extremely easy and the back popped right off once I loosened just one side. Inserting the NVME was also easy. All said, it took max 10 mins to do the entire process. Took more time organizing my screws than it did taking them out, installing nvme, and screwing back in. Performance wise, this thing has blown me away. I figured the 3060 would be great but also have read alot of reviews saying this models variant (evidently more than 1 laptop variant of this card?) was the weaker of bunch and not the best performer. Combined with a dumbed down i7 due to Intels stupid decisions to reduce cores and threads. I still knew it would be enough for my needs but tapered my expectations. First game I booted up was Metro Exodus Enhanced. I went ahead and maxed out everything, with ray tracing to ultra, and DLSS set to Quality at 1080p. This thing churned out an average of 68fps. Absolutely blew my mind, The lowest it dipped was around 52 in heavy scenes with alot of lighting and objects moving. It did stutter at times and wasnt always smooth, but for what I put it through, it passed with flying colors. More than playable at the highest setting with Ray Tracing maxed out. The fans did spin to a point where it was noticeable, but it wasnt distracting. I have a set of Bose Companion Speakers I had sitting in a box and I have plugged those in. Once game got going, I barely noticed the fan noise. It also never got above 70 degrees at full load. There are only 3 gripes I have with this laptop. The first is the color of the keyboard. Its a nice shade of blue/teal and I personally like the WASD being clear and different from rest of keys, but I would of appreciated an RGB keyboard that let me choose my own colors. At this price range, I feel that shouldnt be out of the question. Gripe 2 is the battery life. Obviously this is a gaming laptop so you should never expect to game on this this unplugged for more than 30-45 mins max before its dead. But basic web browsing, it only lasted about an hour and half 2 hours on a full charge before it was down to under 10%. I guess thats moderately decent seeing as I didnt dim the display (which isnt the brightest so I kept it at its peak), but i expected atleast 4+ unplugged doing basic computing. Lastly, the screen isnt the best. Its serviceable and I enjoy it enough to not mind, but the colors and brightness could definitely be better. But for a dim/dark room, it is perfectly fine. 144hz is also extremely smooth. Long story short, this laptop has blown away my expectations, especially for the price. Maybe its just because i came from a $200 basic laptop so I understand how bad things could be. Like going from a 2003 Civic to a 2021 Charger. For the price, I dont think you will find a better laptop unless you get something on a sale. I didnt get this one sale but at the price I paid, it felt like it was on sale, and I just didnt want to wait so I jumped on it. Another item to keep in mind, is as AMD FSR and Nvidia DLSS improve and become more supported, that will make these "lower" spec laptops even more appealing.

the first day I received my laptop, I went ahead and upgraded the storage with another 500GB M.2 NVME SSD on the extra slot on the motherboard. The process of opening the back was a pain for no reason. Some of the screws were WAY TOO TIGHT, including the tiny screw that holds down the m.2 drive. I ended up stripping 2 screws in the process while using the right size screw driver. So be careful opening the back for upgrades down the road. Overall, the PC looks and feels great. Setup was a breeze and having Wifi 6 is will eliminate the need for an ethernet cable if you have a good router at home. I am getting the same 200mbps download speeds on wifi as I am using an ethernet cable. Latency on games hovers between 40-75ms depending on the game and region you are playing in. Performance is very good for the price. Although, while gaming, don't be surprised to see temps go as high as 83c on the RTX 3060. A headset is a MUST while gaming on this laptop because it will get loud. I also experienced some flickering while watching videos online (YT, FB, etc.). I had already installed the latest drivers directly from Nvidias website so the method I found that worked was to turn off hardware acceleration on Microsoft edge. I would give it 5 stars but the process of opening the back of the laptop pretty much ruined that for me, As far as performance goes, I'd say I was expecting a little more power but then again this is only the 80w variant of the 3060. If are looking for better performance, search for a laptop that has the 115w variant of the 3060. It will be much better,

Well I decided to upgrade my gaming laptop from my old Asus G750js. The laptop is missing some things that I like such the webcam, the numeric pad, the SD card reader, and the disk player. Two negative things that I found are the loud exhaust fans and the screen quality is not great ( low brightness, the anti-glare lowers colors and the white bleeding is massive). Now, the I7 processor, the 16 gb of ram, 500 gb of nvme M.2, and the 3060 are incredible. Games run great (specially when the laptop is connected to a power supply and on turbo mode). Overall, I paid $1100 for it, installed s 1 tb nvme SSD, this gaming laptop is a no brainer for good performance at a good price.

What i Like about this laptop: -The built quality of this laptop. (Very sturdy for how thin and light its is) -The keyboard is also great. -Color reproduction and the screen overall they do a fantastic job. -Cooling system works great. -Design (Very appealing laptop for being a gaming laptop packed with so much power) Audio part it has an immersive sound effect due to DTS X but don't expect too much volume it's still a laptop. Hope this helps you to make a decision. But if you are still thinking, I recommend buying it. It's build right for a good price.

Buyer Beware: I really, really tried to like this TUF dash laptop. Unfortunately it just doesn’t cut it. On first looks it looks great. Build is nice. Not much flex. Keyboard feels good. Mouse pad is overly sensitive, so be sure to use an external mouse. If you got oily hands, you will see it all over the mouse pad and corresponding places. Get your microfiber cloth ready. Screen is decent. If you want a more vibrant screen, go into Intel graphics center, and play with the settings under display. I really thought this thing would be able to push 100fps in first person shooters at 1080p medium settings. But boy, I was wrong. This 3060 at 85w performs worse than some mobile 2060’s. It’s more a 1660 that can ray trace. The I7 was marketed well but this I7 is really an i5 with 4 cores. In CPU heavy games, the CPU gets to 92c in Turbo mode. The fans start pushing out air, and it gets loud. To get the best Frames in game, I had to go into the bios, advanced settings, GPU settings and force the system to use the dgpu. It is set up to use the igpu which is suppose to help the system to relieve the 3060 if it gets pushed too hard. It doesn’t do that. It actually hinders FPS. Anyways, I went into the NVIDIA’s control panel, and forced performance. This is where I got sad. BENCHMARKS: Warzone at 1080p medium/low settings gave me an average of 62 FPS in game. Yes, in that final circle, at downtown, near the sky scrapper and the bank, you will definitely feel the FPS go down the drain. My low was 56 FPS. Bleh. Black ops Cold War 1080p Medium/low settings averaged 89 FPS. Battlefield 5 1080p medium/low settings averaged at 76fps. This game made the CPU temp get the hottest at 92 C. After playing battlefield 5 and seeing the limited hard drive space, I just gave up. My 2018 HP Omen with and I7 8750 and a 1060 6gp was running Warzone Similarly than this Asus TUF. As always, running this laptop through a monitor will increase your FPS by 15%. I was able to achieve 1440p and had similar frames per second as on the laptop screen in Warzone. Coming from a desktop with a 3070 and using this laptop as a mobile gaming device, it is not worth it. BUT I can see the value if this will be your only gaming machine, and in this Covid war. The price for this whole machine that is mobile isn’t that bad. TLDR: Frames for First person shooters is not great. Preforms like a mobile 2060/1660. It gets hot. You have to work to get it perform. I wouldn’t buy.

First things first, at just over 1100$, this is a pretty decent bang for your buck machine, assuming you have reasonable expectations. The high clock speed i7 processor and 16 gigs of RAM paired with an rtx 3060 means you can handle most games at high to max settings and still get respectable frame rates. The games I tested are a bit behind the times graphically, but Overwatch runs at over 100 FPS on max settings, Genshin Impact runs flawlessly, and Battlefront 2 sits easily over 90 fps (typically higher, but I didn't get the chance to test this as much). These frame rates are quite noticeable thanks to the 144hz display. By all means respectable stats given the price range, but there are a few downsides that unfortunately hinder this laptop from being a go-to recommendation. Firstly, the big issues. While the clock speed of the i7-11370H processor is impressive, it comes at the cost of core count. This is only a four core processor, which for an i7 is rather dismal at best (8 is ideal for an i7). In practical terms that means that this computer will not be as good at multitasking and and software that benefits from high core count, such as 3D modeling/sculpting/rendering, and video or audio editing software. It is also worth noting that more games are trending in the direction of using more cores, so this performance may also take a hit with newer games (although I couldn't judge that based on my own experience). For my purposes, I noticed performance hits doing things such as running non-intense games and a download at the same time. Mind you some level of performance drop is to be expected in these cases but I saw severe fps drops and lag as a result. It also could not handle high-poly meshes in Blender very well, taking a few seconds to update after every operation. Also, expect it to get extremely loud when playing games. There are also a few smaller nitpicks, but things that ultimately added to my dissatisfaction. As other reviewers have mentioned, this thing is a grease magnet. A small bit of regular use later and it looks quite dirty. I personally also find the green wasd keys to be rather unsightly, and the lack of both a full keyboard and even a basic webcam is unfortunate at best. Ultimately I decided to return this laptop and upgrade to the new Lenovo Legion, but I still think this is a perfectly decent machine for the price range, provided you know what you are getting in to.

Overall the preformace is pretty good able to run most if not all AAA games but will require the use of the power cable to ensure full preformance. The battery for the device is ok but not great .general battery use is about 2 hrs just surfing the web, i could have a bad battery as it was openbox but none the less a failing battery. Ive also updated the ram to 40gb and 2 m.2 drives for 1tb of data overall a decent laptop for the money. Lastly the display is lackluster i prefer eye piercing brightness but this screen is more for reduced eye strain with the matte screen and avg screen brightness more optimized for gaming preformace

I needed a laptop that would meet the requirements for my gaming needs and animation work. After having this laptop for so long, I can gladly say that I don't regret my purchase. I've played many heavy games, including recent titles. In addition to gaming, I'm also capable of using Adobe software and other applications without worrying if they can run to standards or not. As long as you take care of your laptop respectfully, then you're guaranteed a long lasting experience with it. The only negative about this Asus laptop would be it's battery life. So try to have the charger by you.

If you are thinking you are getting an adult worker gamer laptop for work in the day time and playing game after work, think again. This laptop does not have webcam but it looks very professional like a work laptop. This gaming laptop is thin and light but with very good battery life. Perform very well playing games. Quake II RTX looks stunning. Rocket league and Outriders screen is butter smooth. Virtual surround sound is amazing. Just a few minor shortcoming, up and down arrow keys too narrow and too close together, screen is not bright enough and screen cannot open to a bigger angle. But for the specs you get, this is excellent gaming laptop.

For its price, the laptop can handle most of the popular games currently available. Granted, I don't see myself playing all the time, but you can smoothly run games like Overwatch, Dead by Daylight, Guilty Gear, GTA, and HALO at high. The downside is that the fans would be very loud depending on how high you run them. Battery life can last pretty long while watching Twitch streams or shows while doing assignments too. If you are considering on getting this laptop, I woukd say to get it when it is on sale to get more value out of your buck. At full price, however, I suggest to wait and see how the newer laptops are that's coming out the following year.

Ive had this laptop for about a year now, and while I'm no heavy duty gamer, i enjoy a variety of games as well as photoshop and other graphic apps. That said, this laptop hasnt held up beyond the year time, overheating, fans working at hyperdrive, and with serious risk to the motherboard no less. So, caution given for those buying it for gaming.

I do not recommend you using this laptop screen as your work screen. I return the first one I got because the light bleeding was way too noticeable, even for norm viewing. The second one isn't much better. PURELY BOUGHT THIS FOR THE POWER and PRICE! It's LOUD when pushed!!! So if you plan to create (or play) in public, just beware, the fans are LOUD! 4-ish lbs so keep that in mind. I carry a mobile drawing monitor, Ex SSD, etc. Hooking up XP-PEN monitor. It took up most of the left ports, but you still have two more USB 3.0 ports on the right and a free thunderbolt port on the left. Notice VERY noticable lag when I hooked it up to my 65 in 4K TV (testing out the gaming experience of it). Ignoring the jet engines in this baby. It handled some some high end games (maxed out) pretty well. I look forward to putting it through it's paces with Maya, Zbrush, Corel and more. If you're just using this for ClipStudio Paint and Photoshop/Affinity Photo than, its more than enough. My only issue is that screen smh. I knew the color reproduction wouldn't be high tier, but I expect a evenly light screen!!!! It's not the brightest screen. If I had to guess it's around 350 to 400 nits. Speakers are like any low end laptop... smh I'm actually glad it doesn't have a webcam. Battery is actually pretty good as well. The only other drawback about this laptop is you can't upgrade both RAM sticks.

This is a pretty awesome laptop. I wanted to play some games I had in ultra and with high fps and this is delivering. And the ray tracing and dlss the 3060 brings are great. And the ssd it uses is so fast. I am coming from the ps4/Xbox one 3 minute load place. This just loads the game so fast it was crazy the first time it happened. The laptops fan does get loud playing games but I have headphones on so it is not so bad. And it works pretty nicely as just a regular laptop. It does not have a webcam but I am ok with that. And it does not have the number pad. But it was a lot of ports and a thunderbolt 4. So if you want next gen gaming but can’t find a Xbox series x or ps5 this delivers.

I would recommend this to a friend
