The best feature of this laptop is the screen it is amazing BUT the dual Core I7 is a major bottleneck for the RTX 3070. Althougb the price is great when you read the specs you would be better of with a 2080super and a more robust gpu for around the same price or less... the keyboard could have probably been bigger. It feels very cramped. I returned this computer aftet a week

The parts in this machine a good parts but Asus put the machine together in a hurry and it has ALL kinds of bugs:
1. Keyboard lights come on in the middle of the night by themselves and will not turn off and kills the battery quickly.
2. The battery life is 2-3 hours out of the box. (Awful)
3. There is no camera on this machine for internet calling or gaming even though this is a game computer. (How ridiculous)
4. OS system is Microsoft 10 "Home" which is the lowest OS of all of them and does not work well with this high performance laptop.
5. Overall there is a lot of low quality features for a supposed high tech laptop. Save your money and buy something that really has high quality everything.

Only a one day ownership review and already its boxed for return. Ran incredibly hot with cooling pad and a box fan nearby it still throttled an already terrible version of the 3070 (max power 85w, will run 70w if under any strain). Obviously could be my demands on it but really a "half" version of a 3070 is more likely the cause. Switching to a 115w 3060 version instead. Aside from it being the worst for my use, the design appeared to be nice and sturdy. Lid has little quality so easily wobbles or closes if left open at an angle. Armoury Crate software was glitchy and would just "flicker" between turbo and default settings (which pops an indicator on your screen each time the setting changes). Even trying to highlight other aspects it just turned into more cons so honestly this should probably just be a one star - never returned something to Best Buy so quickly

Great laptop. It did a very great job for what is present in front of you. I already got rid of mine for more gaming purposes. Wasn't really providing the frames and crisp look I was looking but did great job. I moved on to ge75 2080super.that's where you need to be if your a GAMER. Overall great laptop.

So lets start off with the good, 1tb ssd that's extremely fast, that's it. Now I will neatly list all that's bad,
on day 1 the laptop arrived in a box that had all these slots as if it was supposed to come with a bunch of stuff, which it did not, just the laptop and a charger semi-decently packaged.
the laptops frame felt cheap and plastic like a Chromebook, the only nice part was the back of the laptop which felt metal-like but the entire thing being a fingerprint magnet
the arrow keys begun to felt funny just after 3 days of almost no usage, unsure if that's how they are intended or if they were genuinely that poorly done.
the keyboard looks cool at first but those see through keys show every little bit of dust or anything that gets under them and is impossible to comfortably get to and clean.
when under load the laptop gets extremely hot and will burn you, and has left burn marks on furniture and other things, as well after about an hour begins to smell like something is burning.
the laptop is decently loud and the speakers struggle to power over them, even my sound cancelling headset at high volume struggled.
the speakers at high volume cause the laptop to vibrate which results in a grinding noise which I believe is the fans hitting the shroud
the """I7""" is ACTUALLY A 11370H which 11 stands for 11th gen the 3 standing for what I like to call I3 because it ONLY HAS 4 CORES, which you'll NEVER see this cpu fully turbo because it thermal throttles WAY BEFORE what is even recommended for the processor, So not only do you get only 4 cores you get poor cpu frequency whilst gaming, in fact, on the lowest settings in all my games the highest frame rate I saw was 150FPS unlimited with the cpu at 100% and the gpu at.. 10%,
and this isn't were it ends folks. the GPU is a max-Q meaning its a model of the 3070 which prioritizes power saving (funny isn't it), but really it thermal throttles super early and is power limited so heavily it never turbos past 1200mhz, which means a rtx 3060 max-p will outperform it for FAR LESS MONEY. and you'll save battery because those laptops tend to use less power and have better cpus. This poor 3070 begs for mercy as I don't think I've ever seen a computer run so poorly some of these games.
and on battery, this thing is a pathetic stuttery mess. in performance mode it says the battery would only last 1 hour and 45 minutes LISTENING TO MUSIC, and when you try to play a game? 55 minutes. but the cpu refused to go past 1500mhz, and the gpu? 850mhz, This means my 20$ 10 year old core 2 duo pc was running faster than this laptop around the same power usage. turning the graphics as far down as normal yielded me 24 fps with unlimited enabled (as Nvidia settings limit the gpu to 30fps on battery but I stopped that).
so with that all being said and concludes
the cpu is extremely underpowered and with that uses more power than it should resulting in poor battery life
the cooling system is so underwhelming Asus thermal throttles it way before it comes an issue resulting in extremely lackluster performance,
the laptops build quality reminds me of the 100$ Chromebook I used for middle school. and runs like one too on battery B)
the gpu is so woefully underpowered on purpose a laptop with a 3060 that is decently well built will make this laptop feel like the previous generation to last generation.
this laptops fans scream for no reason because the parts thermal throttle so early which kills turbo frequencies and furthermore gives slow performance and enjoy burning not just yourself but your furniture with how hot the frame gets
you'll never be able to fully utilize the panels 240hz because the cough cough "i3" I mean i7 is so underpowered.
and oh yeah the power brick likes to run hot which im sure won't cause any house fires in the future to people who may live in hot climates.
as much as I hate to say it as I tried so hard to love this laptop, the 3070 and i7 in its name is just a scam to grab your attention because they reel you in when you see the price tag, the ssd and ram is to butter you up because you'll see nothing else in the price range offers that much storage out of box. and somehow out of everything it has good reviews when this has to be the most frustrating device I've ever owned is just saddening to me.
go buy a different companies laptop like a HP omen with a 3060 for around the same or less, it performs faster than this laptop whilst offering much higher quality of life and overall quality.. thank you for reading and saving your money.

Geforce 3000 series laptops are new and most are very expensive but this one came with a 3070 and at a good price. I think I got a great deal. Now I can enjoy my latest games on the go with Raytracing and fast frame rates. The 11th generation Intel core i7 is is nice too.

ASUS makes the best computers now. Their componentry is great and so is the performance. My only issue is that when plugged in and closed, the power cycles oddly with the fan spooling up.

Cannot say enough about how much I love this laptop. Amazing gaming and solid for all around use. Got a 9.1 on overall windows analysis, 9.9 for GPU. Definitely would buy another. Loss for words but can say definitely a solid machine.
