Powerhouse budget gaming laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lets sit down and talk about this little power house. First of all, the 240Hz screen is beautiful and for the price, the RTX 3070 is strong. To give you an idea, its posted the same benchmark as a Asus Tuff 3060 in my Ryzen 7 desktop. It has 1TB built in and a open slot for another. The only thing I dont like is the single DIMM for RAM so you will need to buy new memory if you want to have 32GB. Over all I am impressed with this.

AMAZING
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've this laptop for about a year and a half now, so I have spent a lot of time with it. From doing work stuff to playing games like Elden Ring to more recent Starfield and Counter Strike 2, this laptop can easily handle it all!!! This has been my companion and several business trips, and vacations. The battery life is really good, but obviously drains quicker when you are playing games.

A decent budget gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop a few weeks ago. Before buying, I was hesitant about the purchase because the CPU i7-113702h is only 4-core. People on Reddit are trashing this CPU as a bottleneck on games. No, they are wrong. If you check on Youtube, there are a lot of videos about game testings on i7-11370h and Ryzen 5900hs. The FPS results are quite similar in most games, and this CPU is outperforming the 5900hs in a few games. Yes, weird and unbelievable, so check them out yourself! Besides the CPU is better than expected. The laptop is actually very light compared to other gaming laptops. My old Acer Predator Helios 300 is weighed about 6 pounds. This sleek machine is only 4 pounds. Wow! The battery can last about 16 hrs in normal use without charging which is quite outstanding and especially good for someone who uses the laptop for multiple purposes. For example, students or people travel often. Would definitely recommend it for friends. The price is cheap compared to other 3070 laptops on Bestbuy or Amazon.

Great rig for gaming!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been running this since late March without problems. It keeps getting updates from ASUS which is a good sign. It is like any other gaming laptop which means it gets hot but the battery life is great (assuming you're not gaming on battery). There are no big frills like RGB lighting but that's fine for me. It is a lower-powered 3070 (~45MH/s for those interested in mining) that gets the job done plus some.

Good but with minor preferential complaints
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Nice build quality and lightweight design. Great screen. During gaming keyboard near wasd stays cool. Even though the mobile 3070 is a lower voltage one than other 3070 laptops, it still can handle any game and knock the fps out of the park for most titles. Easy to hit 60fps on Cyberpunk with ray tracing off, and with on it will be 45-55 depending on what you do with Fidelity FX and DLSS. When not being used for gaming, the battery life is incredible. Went over 8 hours of use in eco mode while watching videos and surfing pages off and on. Stays pretty cool for GPU, and CPU gets up to 95c on demanding titles. Recommended to use with laptop cooling pad of some sort. Cons: Fans will whistle and blow loudly during medium to high intensity gaming and during video editing or watching full length movies. Sound isn't obnoxiously loud to where you couldn't play without headphones, but it's loud enough you will hear it while using headphones and would probably get some embarrassing looks if used in public place like cafe. No real manual fan control. Asus software has presets for windows, silent, performance, and turbo. Not too much difference in fps between using performance mode and turbo, but turbo kicks fans on high very soon and hard. Usually just use it in performance mode since there wasn't much need for turbo. Since you can't control the fans except for with presets, when gaming the temperature and fan speed with go up and down drastically until you've been gaming for at least an hour or longer, then it will finally even out and stay consistent. Small complaint but frustrating still. Bottom of laptop will get uber hot, to where it's painful to have it directly on your lap while gaming. Must use a cooling pad for lap use beyond browsing. No undervolting possible using normal means with ThrottleStop as it was disabled by intel update (maybe throttlestop will figure out work around). Overall viewpoint: If you are looking for a lightweight gaming laptop that can handle any game with good fps, but also be able to use it as a non-gaming laptop with good battery life then this is perfect. If you don't like loud fans or having to use external laptop cooling pads to keep CPU and the surface temp of laptops in desireable levels, look at other options first.

Great computer. One to point be aware.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is absolutely great. I have only one point that should be noted about it. Technically you can upgrade the RAM. However you only have the ability to change out one stick as there is only one RAM slot. The other ram is soldiered to the mother board. Other than that, it is amazing. It runs most games great the screens response time is crazy fantastic. And it has 2 NVMe slots. This computer is overall amazing.

I'd personally avoid this
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I got the Asus Tuf b/c I'm an Asus fanboy and was expecting ROG like performance. Unfortunately I was mistaken, the CPU in the RTX 3070 TUF is a 4 core Cpu, a MAJOR bottleneck for the 3070. I got the HP Omen laptop with the 3070 and the performance difference for "only" the $200 increase is night and day, 6 core CPU. The keyboard and speakers are better too interms of volume and quality and don't get me started on how great the cooling is, the TUF felt like it was going to catch fire. The ONLY downside in the HP Omen is the chassis is plastic and has some flex but nothing I'm worried about. The TUF was aluminum. Don't underestimate the CPU like I initially did, it will cripple the GPU at only 4 cores. Needles to say the TUF is being returned.

A Balanced Machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Writing this review after 4 days of use. I was looking for a new laptop that I carry to/from work, and also can play MS flight sim 2020 at high-end+ settings. So those bulky pro-gaming laptops were out of the question. Among the RTX 3070 laptops, this is the lightest and most compact, and with a large battery and the $1500 is great considering other alternatives are way more expensive. There are other detailed reviews here, so let me be short. - The initial windows/driver updates were smooth. I was aware of other people reporting their laptops bricked after Windows updating the BIOS, so I updated BIOS with the EZ utility first thing to avoid possible issues. I also uninstalled MyAsus which is a bloatware. - In quiet/balanced mode, the fan is really quiet when I am not gaming. In turbo mode when gaming, it gets pretty loud-- but it keeps the laptop pretty cool. - great display (100% sRGB 240Hz). - I haven't encountered any issues running the laptop. ------------------------------ Running MS flight simulator 2020: I know some of you are looking to get a laptop to play MSFS, but worry about the "max-q" or CPU bottleneck. I tested various scenarios on the ground (haven't got a controller so can't fly yet). - I managed to set all graphics settings to Ultra, but with reduced levels of details and reduced AI traffic to reduce CPU load. - Framerates below are all pretty steady, as far as I can tell. - At LaGuardia/ Tokyo regions, on an airliner, I got ~25fps inside the cockpit, and upper-30 fps in external view. - At Sion airport, on Cessna 152, ~40fs inside cockpit, ~60fps in external view. - Even at this mostly ultra setting, GPU is under-utilised; so for MSFS, the "max-q" is not a problem. (so why get 3070 max-q not 3060 max-p? Well it uses less power.) - CPU bottleneck: limited by main thread, the other threads have rather light load, so I don't really think extra cores would have helped much. The single core performance of 11370H is good enough. So that's fine for me. In short, the performance in MSFS is good enough for me, especially considering the price, the light weight and compact size. You may have a different opinion, like framerates are too low for you, or it doesn't work as well in other game. If that's the case, you have other choices. But as far as I am concerned, I made the right call; this laptop suits me well. ------------------------------ (Minor) Things to complain: - no webcam - RAM is 8GBx2, 8GB soldered, so can't upgrade without sacrificing dual channel - the charger is rather heavy and bulky - fan gets noisy in turbo mode

Kind of a 3070
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I felt this laptop was a good buy. The thing to keep in mind in this GPU hungry market is that this laptop has a TGP of 85 watts for the 3070 - this puts its performance more on par with a mobile 3060. That part miffed me a bit, but the specs beyond that are great. It’s incredibly thin for a gaming laptop. Personally, I didn’t like the color scheme of blue lighting much - and I really hated the blue WASD keys. I was able to run escape from Tarkov at a solid 60 FPS at middling settings. It stays fairly cool to the touch in general.

good but screen could be better
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.good powerful laptop, the 3070 video card definitely gives it a big improvement, one issue that is becoming frustrating is that the screen has a dead pixel spot in the top right corner, now being a laptop that is less than a month old is concerning but i had the same issue with a g14 that i bought 2 years ago so im not sure if this is a asus known issue. also having only 1 ram slot is disappointing and i still dont get why asus refuses to just have 2 slots and stop the nonsense of soldering 8 gb..

Great buy!**
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit hesitant on purchasing an open box since stock has been slim to none. However, everything came in pristine condition. Functionality wise...i have thrown everything at it..between max settings in games to mining crypto for a whole day..for the hardware on this its well worth the price. Great buy! Contemplating purchasing a second.

Good laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is great. The outlook is excellent. The keybord is beautiful. The screen is super fine. The only reason i don't like it, is that if you run the GPU for 7 x 24, it heats a lot. That's make sense for a laptop though. If you plan to have the computer run 24hrs a day, do not buy it. Otherwise, it is a great investment.

Does the job , batter life is good
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price , the quality was ok. For Gaming laptops always get a higher voltage for the charger because of your graphic arts needs more power. This model laptop is not a high-end gaming PC laptop but the battery is good at this and I would definitely recommend it the next model call this was been in the market for quite a while and the reviews are not that great.

Great buy and great at gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This gaming laptop is the best value with the new RTX 3070 gpu. Even though it is slower than other 3070 laptops, in gaming, I still get 90-100 FPS in Warzone with everything on high res or more. I do some machine learning as well and the 3070 breezes through models with ease. And I can do it all wherever I go.

Pretty good specs for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good laptop. I like how it's all current Gen parts, super fast screen, and the screen even has that little bit of rubber that prevents the screen from rubbing against the keyboard. Solid build quality, but asus software could be a bit better. My keyboard rgb lighting keeps resetting itself to "breathing" after each reset.
