    The Wi-Fi adapter keeps disappearing. I’m unable to use the laptop without a Ethernet cable.

    I game on this pc everyday for hours on end and im starting to get over heating problems like playing world of warcraft i have cleaned the system on a regular and it doesnt help my temps average out to about 89c to 99c when gaming on world of warcraft i got a cooling pad on the way hoping this fixs my issue with the laptop also i added a 16gb ram stick and a Samsung 980 1tb Ssd

    ZERO STARS!!! Bought this a year ago. Started out with wifi adapter issues (some problem with a mircosoft update that erased the wifi adapter driver it seems) and it has been randomly shutting off for about 10 months now. I checked with geek squad, ASUS, online sources (forum stuff), zero help. Should have lemon laws for computers.

      If the WIFI adapter driver was corrupted, you can reinstall it. The driver is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/in/supportonly/fx706he/helpdesk_download/. Regarding the random shutting down, find out if a specific application is triggering the issue. If so, please check if the application is running with the most current version. Also, install update if Windows, chipset and video drivers are outdated.

    Great all-around laptop with some Gamer bonuses

    Bought this to replace my tried and true G72GX after many years of trusty service. Got a great deal on this one, bought mostly to run mid-load games (Zwift, EQ2) and MS Office/web use. Super happy with the quality of the display, battery life, and general look and feel of the laptop. Will be boosting the RAM, but other than that I expect this will last me for another few years.

    GPU Failing

    I have had it just over a year and now it appears the GPU is failing when playing a variety of games, possibly the VRAM. It will freeze with a lot of artifacts on the screen. I've always had the laptop propped up and watched the temps average 80c playing demanding games although the fan intake openings from underneath appears to be poorly designed. I'm passed the warranty period and since the problem is becoming more frequent I can't risk playing any more games.

      To improve or reduce the high temperature, please check if no obstructions exist on the air ventilation. Please try to configure the game or video settings to the most efficient settings without compromising the video quality. Disable processes, services and applications not needed in the Task Manager while gaming. We recommend using a cooling pad to help in heat dissipation.

    This laptop has the enough power to play most games, it was a great deal when it was at $750, nevertheless, I wasn't able to use an USB mic in this computer because the audio recorded was stuttering, plus after a couple of days the wifi card started to fail. Even though I contacted support and followed many guides online, the problem still persisted and I had no choice to return this laptop.
