An absolute beast when gaming with no compromises. The AMD processor paired with DDR5 memory makes processes, services, applications and 3D rendering run quick and flawless. I got this when it was on sale and I have no regrets buying this laptop, I would highly recommend for anyone who does PC gaming, video editing or 3D rendering. Well worth the money

I’ve owned this laptop for around 2 years. It’s a very good entry gaming laptop. It can handle a lot of games on high/ultra settings and high demanding games on medium settings at best (70-100 fps) The only issue with this laptop is the screen… It’s terrible so please plan adding a decent monitor.

Small size, but decent weight. Runs most games well on default or low. When stress the laptop can make a lot of noise but when running mid tier games it’s fairly silent. Overall decent bang for you buck as long as you’re not looking to run high end games

From some of the reviews I read, I thought this would be a fairly loud machine. Mine isn't. After 45 days of regular use, the system is completely silent when doing anything but games. For the games I play, the fans do spin up, but I've been surprised by how little noise they make. My ears are not cryin' over me buying this system and the games look great. No complaints.

I bought this about a month ago and it just works great for what I need. Could have a better memmory ram (comes with 8gb), but to make it better. I've already ordered a new 16gb, so.. gonna be even better. I work with music recording and editing and designs, so, some heavy programs and sometimes I have more than 2 running at the same type and the machine handles pretty well!

This is a great gaming laptop for the money. Great performamce and visual quality as well as being very light and sturdy. Only cons are the 8gb of memory is screaming to be 16gb and it generates a good amount of heat for the fans to keep up with ( a usb extra fan pad is a great add). Great gaming to go.

Purchased this laptop to use when gaming and for running VMs and work when away from home and my desktop. It does both without issues. Upgraded the RAM and added another SSD without issues and I have experienced no issues with this laptop in the nearly year I have owned it.

This laptop is by far a great peice of machine. I was not running any issues when it came to emulation in 4k resolution and some current gen games in 2k. It was definitely easy to upgrade the ram and storage overall sleek design and awesome budget gaming laptop.

We wanted to love this laptop so badly. The keyboard is beautiful, the screen amazing. My son was so excited, I got an open box from BestBuy. I have in the past bought open Box deals and never had an issue. Got it home, plugged it in, my son began setting up the laptop. He spent like three hours downloading and setting up his laptop when he felt it was getting hot, to the point it bothered his hand and lap. He set it down, put it in sleep mode and left it for the evening. Next morning, he tried to wake up the laptop from sleep mode, it was dead. He thought it was the battery needed to be charged, plugged it in. Nothing happened. No Charging light, nothing, we couldn't turn it on, it would not charge or indicate it was recieving any power. We tried a couple of suggestions we found online, nothing worked. I brought it back in to geeksquad, the employee said it was motherboard related, and that it was not worth fixing it, I was better off returning it and getting another laptop. We were so disappointed, my son wanted to try out this laptop and he was so excited about it. I would have bought a new one, if it were available, but the only other option was an open box out of state. At this point we felt nervous about getting another open box and running into the same issue. Sorry Asus, we wanted to love you, but the experience was not a positive one. If you look up this model, it appears to be a design flaw, where the mobo gets fried easily. This laptop got wicked hot too.

I bought this to play Diablo IV while away from home and graphics are good the display is crisp and clear. Battery life on the ultimate settings is about 1hr 45m. The option to turn off the 3050 is nice if you are going on a trip and not gaming.

This laptop is one of the best bangs for the buck! It handles most tasks very well, although you will want to upgrade it to 16GB to take full advantage of its dual channel memory capabilities. I have bought several of these for my children and wife so we could game together and it has been a blast! Now for the con: ASUS laptops have an issue with some of their SuperIO chips failing, which results in the laptop failing to power on when the power button is pressed (dead mainboard). This chip has to be programmed and is not easily replaceable, even by a component level repair shop. This was the case with my youngest's laptop. The other machines are all running strong.

It's a great laptop. With that being said in more demanding titles while gaming it gets rather hot. I'm currently looking at buying a laptop stand with cooling to see if this helps with the temps.

Purchase for my daughter going from console gaming to PC gaming. Needed something smaller then a full tower to be portable and be able to use for school work. This fits, its no rocket ship and I would definitely upgrade ram to the max 32gb and change up to at least a 1TB nvme ssd very soon after purchase to speed things up. But out of the box it handles almost all big titles we have thrown at it but graphics had to be set to medium. After a easy open and upgrade it should speed things up alot. Great for beginners not having funds for a full power house tower. If you can get it on sale its worth your money. Video editing i’d look to something more powerful but for the average consumer this is perfect and can be pushed to its limits happily, just don’t expect the highest frame rates and game loads straight from the box without upgrading. I’ve upgraded already and now this thing flys.

Sturdy & sits comfortably in my lap. Can get a little warm sometimes, but that’s to be expected. I will note that I added more RAM & storage to it, so it might run better because of that. Battery life is pretty good, I can actually play games & draw without having it plugged in all the time! Overall very happy.

bought this on sale as a gift for a teenage member of the house. It is an exceptional machine for the price point. First thing I did when it arrived was install 8 more gb of ram. This upgrade was very simple even for a 68 yr old man like me. at this this point it has seen a game the the teenager can throw at it

Great gaming laptop so far. The RAM and SSD capacities are a little underwhelming but those are easy enlighten to upgrade. There are two ports each and even with 40gb RAM and 2TB SSD I haven't had any overheating issues.

I want to say do not buy this without considering ram/Nvme upgrades. Mine had been upgraded to 32gb w a gen 4 nvme by crucial, I would recommend samsung 990 pro if you can afford it. Affordable and with addons cheaper than higher ends and blazing speed. I do not use it for gaming but video editing.

super fast has everything you need, my only sugguestion is to upgrade the ram to 16gb and use the second m.2 slot if you plan on using it for gaming and containing a library. personally I don’t notice much of a difference after 1080p.
