I bought it on sale for $730 with tax included during a prime day sale and it was an excellent deal. I thought it was a metal chassis because it was military grade, but it is made of a plastic of acceptable quality, but it feels very robust and resistant.
It has a good performance in games, a little noisy when playing, due to the high flow fans, the first time I heard it I thought it was going to take off from my desk... but it does a good job of maintaining temperatures
The 165hz screen is excellent and has very small frames so it is easy on the eyes.
The 16GB RAM is a bit behind, you can easily use 90% of it, but it can be fixed for less than $100 so it's excellent, you just have to know that it has 2 slots and it has 2 8GB ones, not 1 16GB one.
The battery doesn't last very long unless you sacrifice all the performance it has... and it's like running a Ferrari at low revs to save gas, not at all pleasant.

It’s a great laptop. Love the keyboard and the setup as a whole. I would definitely recommend. The fan is a little loud and it gets a bit warm but it’s not bad and it cools off quickly after turning it off.

This laptop has been very reliable and versatile. If I need to play a highly intense game I can change to turbo mode and if i need to write an essay I can change to windows mode. The only downsides would be the battery and storage but Gaming laptops rarely have great battery span due to the complex processing included so it was not a criteria for me.

Fantastic laptop for the price. I bought on sale for $750 and couldn't be happier with the performance. Right away I had some issues with HYPR-RX and would recommend switching it to Quality mode. The laptop has good upgradablility since it doesn't have soldered on RAM. It also has 2 NVMe slots for more storage. It has a great selection of ports, however it would be nice if some were on the back of the laptop like previous models. It can run most games perfectly at 165fps if you adjust the settings.

This thing is fast. I had bought from another store with a 3050 in it. The 7700s with 8 gb dedicated of gpu ram blows that one away. No it's not the fastest but it is the fastest I have ever owned. I also like the armory crate software where you can adjust cooling fan speeds. It has exceeded my expectations. It is upgradeable as I will probably upgrade ram and m2 drive later but for now its works for me. This gpu is comparable to the 4060 laptop gpu give or take a few, I also got on amazon prime day for 679. It has an aluminum top cover. Most are plastic now. Not a fan of the flat black cover but for the performance and price point you can't beat it.

Phenomenal value for the money. If you need a mid range laptop and don't really care about the bells and whistles in the higher-end machines (zephyrus etc) then this is the system for you. I've bought two. Thermals are great, upgradeability is easy (2 nvme slots), and the graphics card is unbeatable in the price category

This is my first gaming laptop after using a mid-to-highend custom build PC for years, and I’m enjoying it after getting it on sale for $650. Feel like I really got a steal during Black Friday! It runs well, only had one issue with freezing while trying to take a screenshot during Balatro. But I’ve run a number of other games on it—Enshrouded, Octopath Traveler, and Nine Sols—and they all run really well. Battery life when gaming is pretty abysmal, about an hour, but I don’t use it unplugged most of the time anyways.
Fan can get loud when running games, but that’s to be expected. Same with charger getting fairly hot. Last small, but nitpicky complaint is the color and material of the laptop can pick up fingerprints pretty easily (pic included). It can be cleaned, but just something to be aware of.
Visuals are gorgeous and games run very smooth. Audio is mid, but if you’re PC gaming you’ll probably have some better headphones anyways.
All in all, I’d recommend purchasing this, especially if you can get it on sale like I did.

If you've been gaming on console and are thinking about making the leap into PC gaming, I highly recommend checking out the ASUS A16. After doing my research on the best bang for your buck and comparing it to building my own rig, I stumbled upon this gem on sale at Best Buy – and let me tell you, I couldn’t resist!
For the past year, I had been using a laptop for work and got comfortable with its overall feel and how well it integrated into my desk setup. So, when it came time to find a gaming laptop, I knew I needed something that could deliver power and performance without sacrificing that same convenience.
Enter the ASUS A16. Not only does it handle all my favorite games on high settings with ease (some even on ULTRA!), but it’s also perfect for multitasking. I’ve recently started streaming, and using this as my second screen has been a game-changer — no need to buy an extra monitor!
If you're on the hunt for a gaming laptop that delivers incredible performance and lets you seamlessly juggle gaming, streaming, and multitasking, the ASUS A16 is definitely worth considering!

Battery life isn't anything crazy. Screens huge and clear.
It's got 2 USB ports, 2 C ports, Ethernet and HDMI so I can connect it to my other monitor flawlessly. it really is too good to pass up especially on sale

Aesthetically subjective. So far, I like it more than the 2021 G14.
The SSD can get pretty hot. It crashed off of The Finals gameplay one time after configuring graphic settings to max. Plays really well with AMD FSR on and Epic settings at avg 80+ fps.
The audio sound is loud, more on mid to high treble. The bass is terrible. Fan noise isn't noticeable during gameplay.
The screen is bright. The color gamut brings me back to the 90s sensation. Yes, it's washed and less crisp and less saturated than G14.
OEM SSD is WD PC SN740 SDDPNQD-512G-1002. It runs at 61c degrees.

New to pc gaming and this was an easy smooth set up from the start. Awesome graphics and good fps. I only play a few games and mainly Fortnite with my kids and even with long hours of playtime (average 3-4 hours) of continuous play the performance doesn’t slack

This is a fun laptop. The keys are comfortable for gameplay. The laptop gets very hot, however. Would recommend having it elevated or using an external laptop cooling fan to assist the heat sinks. Also, Starfield crashes miserably when attempting to play it on this laptop, but it's more likely that's just a Starfield thing, lol. Elite Dangerous on High settings is just fine.

This laptop is great since I was always used to playing desktop my whole life I was used to having non-stop gaming but for this it died under 45 mins if you are playing a high end game which makes sense and it makes it feel like a time limit on yourself which is even better . For the specs they have great speeds even though I lower the specs down in the game just to save some ram from overheating it still runs and looks like the game isn't even lowered down to fit that standard.

It has been a decent laptop. Only has 2 usb ports and 2 usb-c. The touch pad isnt the best and goes out relative quickly so be prepared to either get bluetooth mouse or use one of your usb ports. I used it OTR for heavy gaming watching movies work in the field and it has held up a little better than past laptops.

I strongly suggest taking a look at the ASUS A16 if you've been playing console games and are considering switching to the PC. When I found this treasure on sale at greatest Buy, I couldn't help but buy it after researching the greatest value and weighing it against building my own setup. Having used a laptop for work for the past year, I became accustomed to its general feel and how well it fit into my desk arrangement. Therefore, I knew I needed a gaming laptop that could provide power and performance without compromising on convenience when the time came. The ASUS A16 is now available.

Absolutely worth it on sale, no problems so far. It may tend to run hot but that goes with any gaming laptop. Lightweight, sleek, low profile which strays away from the “gamer” look which is neat for me. May want to upgrade the ram and storage however. I’d keep it plugged in 24/7 to keep the 165 hz.
