laptop is great. yes asus does not know how to show off a real laptop or adverstise as that one 2 rating given. I had to take some time to actually write about the laptop and not about the gold and so on that the advertise. First of all there is actually another one coming up which will be the gold version but it will be a ryzen 7. Asus did not announce yet but it is coming due to some of the sources I have looked up to and actually if you look it up it wont tell you much. Now asus and similar to brand like asus like to keep hush hush as it goes for AMD. if your wanting to buy a gaming laptop because of the colors and such then go with a razor or the new hp laptops that are intel based on. I bought the ASUS laptop because the price of the laptop with a decent gpu is running perfectly. IDK what is up with the FPS. it does what it does I been running games higher end games like resident evil and street fighter etc in this laptop and the FPS are great running into the mild. remember it is a rx560x. it is the mobile version of the gpu so dont think that this laptop is going to run on the high level. if you want it to run dont be cheap for 800 your not going to get a laptop that does that. with that said the laptop has not been a problem yes the laptop needs the new driver from AMD and so on but Doent Nvidia do that also? also running update software where the update is located in the settings the amd driver should pop as AMD is actually rolling out with the update drivers. this is a online order as well which the best buy employees should also be speaking about it including all the ryzen laptops. if your shopping online then this is the laptop best for the buck better then acer nitro

i don't have much experience with gaming computers, but I do have lots of experience with gaming (Nearly 30 years.) There are a few games that I play on PC and the difference is night and day. I used to play these games on standard factory PC's and laptops with very poor performance even on low settings. Now I can crank all the settings to high and play with exceptional performance and never skip a beat. I also use this laptop for online college. My previous laptop could barely handle research, paper writing and powerpoints. Now I can have internet browsers open with multiple tabs while working on multiple documents, a powerpoint project and still be able to play my games when I want to break from my work while it's all still running in the background. If you were lucky enough to catch the sale, this laptop is a steal. Hoping that it stands the test of time! I will definitely be choosing ASUS for my future needs.

    Good Specs, False advertising

First off, the Q/A answers left by Asus Answers are primarily lies. This keyboard is NOT RGB. Secondly, the color isn't gold, it's red. Lastly, this refresh rate is 60hz, not 120. Incredibly dishonest advertising. This is what has caused me to leave 2 stars as I feel lied to, and when you drop $700+ on a laptop, you want what you were told you were getting. However, aside from that, this laptop does have a lot of positive things going for it. The CPU/GPU combo are great and you can crank out any game at 1080p, granted you fiddle with the settings. The SSD is NVMe which is nice as well, despite the small amount of storage. Keyboard is pretty standard in terms of feel. If you've used a keyboard, you know what you're getting. Speakers are above average. They are slightly tinny but have plenty of clarity, have little distortion at high volumes and has a reasonable amount of bass when the music/audio calls for it. Screen is a lot nicer than I thought. Refresh rate is 60hz unfortunately, but the Freesync is there, if you actually install the AMD drivers. Believe it or not, they don't preinstall them for you, and if you were new to the gaming world, you wouldn't know to download it. There's a link to it in their ARMOURY CRATE app but you aren't given any sign that it's on your system. The color accuracy is good and everything feels pretty crisp, as you'd expect with an IPS panel. Overall, in terms of general power and performance, it's a good laptop. I just wish I wasn't lied to so I wouldn't have been excited for all these features I wasn't getting. OH! Last thing, there is room for expansion in terms of RAM and a 2.5" drive if you want to add a SATA SSD or HDD. I'm planning on doing that because honestly, what kind of Mickey Mouse gaming laptop only has 256GB storage?
