I have an ASUS Vivobook myself and it has served me well. She likes the look of the laptop and it functions pretty well, but it is a little sluggish when multi-tasking. I'd say an additional 8GB of memory is likely the answer, but was hoping that I wouldn't need to upgrade it yet.

It doesn’t have the look or feel of expensive laptops, but it’s fast enough, RAM can be added later, there’s usb-c adapters for the power. Battery life is actually better than what shows on the screen in my use, which is just doing basic browsing and emailing.
