Great Laptop for the price!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this laptop a few days ago and so far I'm very satisfied!. A few things to mention tho: #1 - Turn on HDR mode or else some of the colors will be wrong when you browse the internet. The Blue's will be Purple and I almost returned the laptop for this very reason, but got lucky and finally figured it out when I turned on HDR. #2 - The colors are very bright and vivid out of the gate, so you'll want to lower all the color settings under 'Intel Command Center'. If you're sensitive to really bright colors, then trust me you'll want to do this. #3 - The screen has a reflection that will be very obvious with a Dark desktop background. You'll want a colorful background such as the Windows 10 light blue default wallpaper to reduce reflection. #4 - It is a dust and fingerprint magnet. You'll want to buy a screen cleaner to clean the laptop after each use to get rid of any dust and fingerprints it leaves behind. Dust is most noticeable around the screen area. #5 - The laptop can get warm and fans will spin at times, but you can adjust this by going into 'MyAsus' and adjust fans to 'Whisper Mode', which will throttle the GPU and fans wont have to work as much. Final Conclusion: Lots of power under the hood and can handle anything you throw at it. Once you get all the settings adjusted, it's absolutely perfect!. Highly recommend buying this laptop at the right price.

Great laptop for productivity and college students
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS Q530VJ-i73050 is a excellent choice for those who will be using it for productivity related tasks. Web browsing on the laptop is very fast and performs well when multitasking. I use it occasionally to play games and it can run at high graphics with no problem at all. The only problem while playing is its tendency to overheat and shut down. The battery life is pretty good and can last me the entire day during college season, but it could be better so make sure to have the charger on hand. It's lightweight and I am able to carry it around campus without any problems. I recommend this laptop for people in need of a computer for college because it is very powerful with only a few minor drawbacks, perfect for me and those looking for a capable, well-rounded laptop.

Overall a great buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm writing this review exactly a year from the date I bought my laptop. I'm a casual gamer, so the beginner level graphic card fits my needs. The most important thing I was looking for was a good processor and ram. I hate slow laptops. I haven't had an issue. However, the battery life on the laptop isn't the best out there. It does run out of juice after four hours. Another thing is to consider is the black coloring. Make sure to clean off grease from your hands as it'll show.

Great laptop for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually had gone to the store to get a gaming laptop, a Lenovo one specifically, but happened to see this one before being helped by an associate. (I was actually hesitant about the Lenovo because it only had 8GB of RAM, thats not really enough for most things) I didn't expect to like this computer as much as I have due to coming from a macbook pro M1 but its been a very fun computer to use. The keyboard is actually a little better in my opinion than the macbooks, it feels far more clicky which is rare for laptops. I haven't truly stress tested the computer yet but the few games I have tried (Honkai Star Rail) Runs quite well on the machine, which is I think helped by the extra 2GB in the 3050 GTX. Otherwise, the computer is a dream. Battery life is a little...underwhelming. It lasts a few hours but then you need to plug it in, and I was able to get almost 2 days with the machine (About 10-12 hours on battery depending on use). The screen is amazing, and the speakers while facing down seem to be almost as good as some other machines I've used. The only ding I have on the machine is there is an occasional stutter every now and again. It seems to happen everywhere. I haven't been able to find out what is causing it but everything is up to date (Bios, Windows, Graphics Driver). The only thing I can think of is that it could be due to the switching between the dedicated graphics and the Intel.

Efficient Performance, Affordable Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been quite satisfied with its performance so far. As a remote worker and a gamer, I engage in a variety of tasks, including lighter gaming sessions focused on MMOs and Overwatch. Under normal workloads, where I have Excel, Word, Teams, etc. open the GPU temperature hovers around 50-55 degrees Celsius, while during gaming sessions, it can reach temperatures between 65-75 degrees Celsius. These are perfectly acceptable temps for the gpu / cpu, so I have been fine with it. I want to highlight the ProArt Creator Hub that comes with this laptop. I haven't previously used this software, but It provides detailed information about the temperature levels, allowing you to monitor and manage them effectively. It offers features like memory optimization and fan speed control, which helps to enhance the overall performance and maintain a comfortable temperature. To optimize the laptop's cooling, I highly recommend using a lap desk or a similar accessory to ensure proper ventilation and heat dissipation, but that is common knowledge for any laptop. The keyboard on this laptop is responsive and provides a satisfying clicky feel. Throughout the day, I actively participate in video calls and multitask across various applications, and in the evenings, I indulge in gaming sessions lasting around 5-6 hours. Considering its price range, this laptop delivers impressive performance and meets my requirements effectively. Taking everything into account, I would rate it 4 out of 5. It's important to note that while there might be superior options available for specific needs, this laptop is a capable and reasonably priced choice. I recommend it to others seeking a laptop that strikes a balance between performance and affordability.

My first laptop was a good one!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first laptop that isnt a hand me down and i absolutely love it. Being a computer science major i have to be on my laptop alot and although this was a big purchase, i think i definitely got my money's worth. It has plenty of space for installing coding programs, its fast and i can even do some light to medium gaming on it, in my free time. The graphics are really nice and it doesnt strain my eyes to stare at it for a long time. The battery is kind of mediocre, but for i really dont mind (i keep it around 80% battery life to keep it lasting longer). Im not sure if any of the hardware can be replacable cause i wanted a laptop that would last me a hot minute, but as of about a year with this laptop, its really been working perfectly, would definitely recommend it to anyone who can afford it!

Powerful and portable gaming laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop used for productivity with the ability to do some casual gaming. The OLED (non-touch) screen displays dark blacks and vivid colors. The ventilation is plenty and it even includes a useful condensed number keypad. Fingerprint scanner is very useful and camera is up to 1080p 30hz. Battery life is decent given it contains a powerful graphics card. The 10-core i7 processor is very fast and efficient. The only drawback is that the material is prone to picking up oils from the hands after use, but this is a minor concern. Fan will spin up when playing games, but that is expected as the graphics card creates noticeable heat. Built-in Nvidia features are very useful, showing temperature, fps, and more.

Good laptop overall
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing I am not absolutely satisfied of is the battery life, or else this product is great overall. The OLED sceen is just gorgeous for people prioritize aesthetics like me. Backlit keyboard is beautiful too, but I believe the touchpad area might need to be cleaned up and carefully used a little bit as it is not sweat resistant. Usually the fingerprint on it is from hand sweat, so it worths noting this down. Highly recommend buying an extra keyboard if you’re gamer or would like to expand the product look and longevity. I read the reviews and spent around $50 more to purchase wireless K+M combo and the cooling pad before I even bought the laptop. The speaker is wonderful than my previous ASUS model. I am a fan of ASUS for 7 years now so I never got disappointed for their products. Good model overall with suitable price!

Great Creator!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product!! Faster than expected and after upgrading ram to 40gb, adding another SSD and creating a Dev drive.... for the money this creator is a beast!!!!! I eventually added 2 2tb 980 pro and it was so simple to go to cloud recovery in bios and reinstall all asus products.

Decent Enough
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a laptop for photo editing. The screen on this looks really great! The computer does get pretty hot when you're using it and doesn't have very good battery life. Overall, it does what I needed to do.

Booming Sound!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s sturdy and lightweight, fast and almost too loud! I wish the I could play games that need more Hz but I love the fact that in a pinch this could easily serve as an ambient speaker. Moves are definitely a treat on this Creators laptop!

ASUS REVIEW
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm so glad I bought this. It runs very smoothly when I play games and edit videos! I love that it has a fingerprint scan to sign in. I like that it has a webcam shield to ensure online privacy. I also love how vibrant picture and videos are when I'm on my laptop! and how clear the screen is. Also,it's really cool that it has anti bacterial material.

Great Budget OLED Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The OLED screen is fantastic. Super fast processing, and even runs some AAA games like Balder's Gate at lower settings quite well. Alas, it still suffers from the all too common kitty cat wanting to sit on it while you're working problem!

Not perfect but overall a great value.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The color & finish is attractive. The size, weight, and form factor are excellent for travel and the performance is excellent for work. It has a gorgeous screen and I love the full size keyboard with number pad. The keyboard shows fingerprints very well and the speakers aren’t very loud. It’s also frustrating to only have usb-c because you need adapters for almost everything. They only give you three ports so even with adapters you also need hubs...

Great performance in a small package
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It outperforms all of my desktops. The colors on the OLED screen are so rich, it looks like the saturation is turned up. It is the best laptop I have ever owned. With the HDMI output and wireless Kbd/mouse, I can use this in place of my desktop and have better performance. It's pretty amazing.

ASUS - Good So Far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good! It is pretty fast. Only started using it this week. The display is bright and clear, but make to adjust display colors. The audio is loud and crisp, which I love. I tried one game and it ran smooth. I need to start testing more games on it to test the full performance.

Versatile budget laptop for creators
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros OLED inky blacks Bright screen Auto backlight brightness Webcam physical cover Good keyboard Smooth/ large trackpad Strong chassis for thickness RTX 3050 discrete graphics Thunderbolt 4 Full sized ethernet jack Full sized SD card slot Runs quiet Ram, SSD, and Wi-Fi upgradable 810H rate for durability Good quality webcam for the series Cons Slight screen flicker at low brightness Highly reflective screen Fingerprint magnet Average battery life Too many ports are on right side Upgradeable parts are complicated to change The Asus Laptop Creator Q is a versatile laptop. While it certainly doesn’t win any competition in specs, it is reasonably well balanced for targeting startup content creators. The design is sleek and understated so it can blend in well for work tasks or gaming alike. It has a matt black finish with a metal lid and the rest is plastic. While it looks very nice, the finish is a fingerprint magnet. It has a good balance of ports with USB-A, USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, HMDI, ethernet jack, combo headphone jack, and a full-sized SD card reader. Strangely, over half the ports are located on the right and that’s not even including the power port. The overall design seems to be a blend of the VivoBook and ProArt series. It is built to the 810H standard for durability so it can handle day to day use reliably. The chassis has minimal flex for its weight. The screen can achieve over 600 nits of brightness allowing you to work in much brighter areas. Included is a 150W charger with a barrel type connector. It allows you to use the system at full power. It can charge via USB-C/ Thunderbolt, but you won’t be able to take full advantage of the CPU and GPU due to power limitations. The keyboard backlight and screen have auto brightness. The speakers are on the bottom at the front left and right but facing out at an angle to prevent them from being blocked on softer surfaces. Opening the case you will find the Wi-Fi card, NVME, and RAM are upgradable. However, the process isn’t as straightforward. The bottom shell is held on by Torx screws, but you will still need a spudger and some delicate persuasion to release the plastic clips on the shell. Once inside the Wi-Fi card is simple, but you will find the memory and NVME underneath two overlapping brackets and with heat spreaders. Once you remove those both are what appear to be EMF shields covering them further that clip into tiny retaining clips. At first it looks like they are soldered to the main board, but they are tiny clips that are a challenge to line back up during reinstall. In short, if you haven’t changed parts on many computers, you may find the process a bit intimidating. Usage and Performance While the Creator Q is certainly able to be used for gaming with its RTX 3050. Performance settings are adjusted via the ProArt Creator Hub versus Armory Crate on the gaming series. Instead of overclocking features you find features for calibrating your screen for maximum accuracy. There is no MUX switch but instead the system decides when to use the iGPU or the dGPU for you. You can manually specify per app which one to use if needed. During stress testing on maximum performance the cooling fans, while audible, were still very quiet. While maximum clock boost was never observed the system was able to maintain a steady 3.26GHz at 100% utilization while keeping temps stable. That said, the chassis can get noticeably warm in heavy usage with a max temperature of 133 degrees Fahrenheit measured in the center near the back. During lighter tasks the system stays at most slightly warm to the touch and the fans rarely kick on and performance is snappy. You might think that having a 1080P screen in a laptop of this size makes it feel low end, but it doesn’t. The OLED panel gives a sense of a higher resolution screen without the battery hit that would come from an OLED panel of this size on a laptop. The tradeoff feels right because while the lower resolution doesn’t seem perceptible at the normal working distance, the inky blacks and sharp contrast of the OLED make an impact for the better. The only tradeoffs are flicker and the extremely reflective screen. You are going to have to find the perfect angle to reduce glare. The system does indicate that it has a type of anti-flicker technology but the typical OLED flicker at low brightness can still be seen. It isn’t enough to be bothersome and the advantages make it well worth it. Combine that with the color accuracy of the screen and it makes for a very enjoyable experience whether creating or consuming content. Adding to that is the pleasant typing experience on the keyboard. There is a good amount of travel with a distinct activation point and soft bump at the bottom. For the value-based creator laptop the keyboard is very good. The same can be said for the trackpad. While a smooth glass trackpad feels nicer, the one included is large, smooth, and consistent with good palm rejection. The speakers are a bit of a surprise. While they won’t have the range of higher end laptops or the presence of separate speakers, they are actually very good for a budget system. Even though they are downward firing they are angled slightly outward so that they are less likely to get muffled by soft surfaces. When sitting centered on the laptop the speakers have a surround effect makes them feel more spread out and larger than they are. They get very loud, and even louder with volume boost if you are willing to sacrifice some low end. That said, unless you really need more volume it’s best to leave volume boost off to keep the little bit of low end you do have. The same is also true for the webcam. The 1080P video is reasonably well exposed with minimal noise. Add something like a key light and you have a usable video for someone creating video a budget. The colors are bit on the cool side but not obnoxiously so. This could be easily improved by adjusting the color temperature of your lights making an overall decent budget steaming setup or even just a business webcam. If there is one place where the compromises fall a bit short, it would be battery life. Even when set to the Best Power Efficiency mode working on simple tasks like typing or browsing the web battery life averaged near the 5-hour mark. While not bad, it feels like the largest compromise of the whole package. This is just for light workloads. Battery life drops to 1-2 hours on heavy loads but that is to be expected and most of the time those workloads you would be plugged in for maximum performance. Final Thoughts Overall, Asus did an excellent job balancing features for a budget-oriented creator laptop. Even though it might be targeted more for early creators, it doesn’t feel like you are missing out. If you are in the market for a budget-oriented creator laptop or just an overall versatile laptop that can easily handle both work and play, then the Asus Creator Laptop Q is worth serious consideration.

Love the Laptop and is great value for money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved this laptop. Bought both this and XPS 15 12th Gen and this performed far better than the XPS. Love the OLED screen, especially in this price point and love the GPU memory being 6GB instead the usual 4. The only downside are the downward facing speakers which muffle the voice a bit
