It's unfortunate that this model does not meet your expectations, this is absolutely not the experience we want you to have. We do value our customers and take negative customer service experience very seriously. This model uses Windows 11 Home in S Mode that's streamlined for security and performance, while providing a familiar Windows experience. To increase security, it allows only apps from the Microsoft Store. You can however switch out of S mode but you won't be able to turn it back on.
Please follow the steps below.
1. On your PC running Windows 11 in S mode, open Settings > System > Activation.
2. Expand the S mode section, then select Open Store.
3. On the page that appears in the Microsoft Store (Switch out of S mode or a similar page), select the Get button.

My timing was great, because BestBuy had this nice ASUS with Windows 11 already loaded for an affordable price. I’m amazed at what I got for the money. There were other more expensive models, but I was not pressured by any upselling whatsoever. The salesman explained the product and listened to my needs. It was a pleasant buying experience.

Please figure out an alternative.

Perfect budge friendly for the average user

No hard core gaming or productivity, basically needed the portability to run 2 programs, and some internet use. This was a one day flash sale, and it was a killer deal (Thanks Best Buy). It has proven to be an excellent laptop, and more than suited for my needs, and even at full price, budget friendly. It is not overly bloated with programs, processor is more than sufficient for general day to day tasks.
