    The screen and body don’t feel so rich, commensurate with the price range. But the hardware is pretty great!

    Pretie unique and light, a really good quality on the laptop and good texture on all the frame something unique that only asus can have and give to the customer.

    This has almost everything a more expensive model would, just no touch screen, and doesn't flip all the way around. For the price, it's pretty great!

    Not Worth the Minor Inconveniences

    Terrible compatibility with various docks and dongles. Frequently goes to sleep on its own, unprompted. I have purchased 4 of these laptops and have experienced these issues with all of them.

      We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing compatibility issues with various dock and dongles and this laptop goes to sleep on its own. To resolve the compatibility issue, ensure Windows, chipset driver and BIOS are up to date. Updates for this laptop are posted at:  https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-home/vivobook/asus-vivobook-16-oled-m1605/helpdesk_download?model2Name=M1605YA . Additionally, ensure the docks and dongles are working properly. To stop this laptop from going into sleep mode, adjust the Power & Sleep Settings inside Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen and sleep. Change the "Make my device sleep after" options to Never for both "On battery power" and "When plugged in" to see if this stops the unprompted sleep.

    Unexpectedly shuts down

    Had this laptop shipped to me. At first everything seemed ok though it was running a little slower than I expected for its CPU and RAM. The second day of using it, it randomly started shutting down and running its fans at max speed, even though the temperature was normal. This was super inconvenient, so I returned it immediately. Day 2 already having such a large issue is a one star by me.

    Dead on Arrival. Let it charge for all night and day and next night (the outlet works just fine). The laptop would not power up, even plugged in to an outlet. I am just glad I didn't need this thing for anything more than personal use. Returning and going to baby my Window 10 Lenovo along for a while longer. I have reservations about Windows 11, will hold off as long as I can with replacing my W10s. At least I never had issues returning anything to Best Buy, the staff at the local store has always been friendly enough. I just hate the hour drive to get there.

    Battery or charger issue after just a few months

    This one seems to be charging well. The previous one we bought in this same model is losing it's charge too fast after only a few months of real use. We took it back to Geek Squad, who sent it to ASUS, who said there was nothing wrong with it. I love this unit, other than the charging issue.

    Random Restarts, Sham Warranty

    Machine has randomly restarted windows when using it, even after general and BIOS updates. Asus warranty doesn't cover it unless it goes to Geek Squad. Geek Squad wont even look at it unless you're a member or cough up well over $100. Asus warranty is a sham, and would never get another Asus product at best buy of any model

    Asus problems

    I just bought the laptop less than a month ago. I have only been using it for adobe illustrator. A week ago I got a blue screen error. Then the computer wouldn’t fully turn on with the keyboard lit and black screen. It started working again for a few days, but then started doing the black screen again. I got it to turn on and checked everything, updated bios and graphics, ran diagnostics which said nothing was wrong. Right after I get the blue screen again. Turned on and off and now back to the black screen It’s a brand new laptop having these major issues already I had an hp for years and never had these problems
