I own several laptops from this vender and never had a problem. Put a SSD not a 5400 rpm hard drive that might solve the problem. I wanted it as a VM laptop 12 gig 1 terabyte was nice but it was to slow.

This may seem unimportant to those who could speed type while in a coma, but I am not one of them. The laptop is fine, I guess. Early days still. But the illegible keys are a real drawback.

Really nice big screen. Would have given it 5 stars except for the keyboard. Hard to see in normal light conditions.

Windows 11 only out of the box. For quad core Intel and 1TB HDD startups are slow. Keyboard very hard to see (not lighted). Word Processing, Web Browsing, email is sufficient.

Make sure to look at the size for carrying capacity for backpacks so it fits. Speed is good although sometimes there will be longer than usual load times turning on the computer. Screen will fit two pages side by side with out the need to Zoom in.

BUT ALL IN ALL THIS ASUS SEEMS TO DO OK ESPECIALLY FOR NON TECHY PEOPLE LIKE ME. OLD FOLKS AND NEW TECHKNOLOGY DON'T MIX WELL.
