    It took a bit to get used to it, but less tha a year into having it. It will not power up. The lights turn on, but the screen does not. Tried contacting best buy, but they just wanted me to buy a internet protection plan. When I asked why I needed an internet protection plan for a computer that won’t turn on, they stopped responding.

    I had an Asus laptop before, and it was one of the best computers I've ever had. So, I was really excited to get this Asus VivoBook. The screen is massive, and it looks sleek. However, after working just fine for the first three days, this computer slowed WAY down. Powering up and getting to the desktop home screen takes about 20 minutes now. I've tried many of the troubleshooting tips, but still no luck. On top of that, the battery also started draining pretty quickly (lasts 45-90 minutes now). I'm gonna have to send it in to Asus while it's still under warranty and hopefully get it repaired. It's really disappointing. Avoid this computer and look at a different model, or potentially a different brand.

      We do understand your disappointment and inconvenience if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance issue with the laptop.





      This issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/. While accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.

    This was a good price but the battery is not good at all. You have to make sure you have your charger handy at all times. I get maybe 2 hours of battery after a full charge. I love the size of the screen and the space is good. Just wish the battery lasted longer.

    I am a simple man. Mostly streaming requirements, voice/video calls, and for that, this is good. I have tried running a 2012 mmo on here, and it works, has some lagging. Pretty much needs to be plugged in when using, with a limited battery life that I can work with.

    ASUS makes excellent laptops. In looking for a laptop for a startup company, I was particularly pleased by the fact that -- unlike many of its competitors -- ASUS does not come with Alexa, Siri, or any other pre-installed spyware.

    The laptop is pretty nice quality, but the keys on the keyboard are very small for all the space that this large laptop has. It's also a very sloq laptop too. I had to change setting to "Best Performance" to get it to run faster, but now text are hard to read and pixelated and kind od hard to read. I do like the large monitor though.

    The system ran very slow. After doing a little troubleshooting, I found that the. HD was running at 100%, which of course starts using other resources. Bad hard drive... I returned the device and found that other customers reported the same problem.

    Other than taking to long to upload I love the size the most of this everyday laptop. Do not like that it forces you to used Microsoft Edge I do not like that at all.

    This is a gift for my son. His old laptop finally died after 3 years. He is very pleased with it. The speed is great! It has plenty of memory for storage and has exceeded our expectations.

    A little slow to boot up and hard to see the letters, numerals and characters on the keyboard unless looking from an elevated position, not from your actual lap. Number key does not have a light to tell when it is on or off. Other than that, it has been a great performer.

    Terrible garbage. The slowest computer ever. With the chip and memory supposedly in this laptop it should be super-fast. I won't even give it away as I know it would annoy whoever received it. Worst PC I ever purchased.

    Do not buy computer specs look good but the minute you start using computer you will notice it is sluggish I had nothing but problems usb devices often disconnected and reconnected on their own computer was constantly freezing up after only a month the hard drive fail do not buy

    Nice laptop for the price. Where the power button is located is OK but I think it would be better if it was located on top of the keyboard in the middle. I like how the power cord snaps in the laptop and is very snug. I do not like how the keys are very hard to see if there is a glare from the sunshine or a light.
