Stay away

Luckily I have several other I can use. It has repeatedly been a problem simply booting up. I have gone through an unthinkable number of recommended remedies and it is still a continuing problem. When it is up it can suddenly be incredibly sluggish. I own quite a few laptops and none are nearly as undependable as this one. In fact I have never had one remotely this bad.

Poor performance

Also it is to very one sided, very liberal. little disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are a gamer or streaming.

Disappointing

I though that this one would be so much faster. I was wrong! After downloading Windows 11, it was as slow as my old computer. In addition, Windows 11 is so different, that I can't hardly figure out how to use it. I had to return it. I'll consider a different one later, but no Windows 11 this time.

We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenince this may have caused if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance issue with the laptop.
This issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. Also, while accessing web applications, please ensure the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Generally, Windows 11 operates just like Windows 10 with minor changes.

S mode computer

Bad laptop, stay away

I returned it and purchase a different model with a SSD Hard Drive. The computers mechanical drive cases it to function very slowly. The geek squad person who came to help install this laptop was appalled and wrote a note to BB explaining why it was a poor purchase. Stay away from it!

Disappointing

The reality is that my unit seems to be defective right out the box. It took forever to boot up the first time. I went thru the setup - noticing that the display/resolution seemed very washed out. Plugging into the power source helped a little, as did adjusting the brightness in Settings; however, the bottom line is that display is still really terrible. Additionally, the connection for power source plug-in is so loose. moving the laptop even slightly can stop the power charge if the plug does not simply fall out altogether. I have been happy with prior ASUS purchases (all purchased @ Best Buy), so I am hoping that this is just a one off or bad model. Unfortunately, this will have to be returned.
