    I bought this computer for the children in an Afghani refugee family to get them started on the internet. BestBuy staff helped set it up with shortcuts and some basic training. I have have an ASUS laptop and have been very pleased with my own laptop. And so far this one is working well for the Afghani family children when they can get internet.

    I bought this laptop because I have used ASUS for a long time but in particular this laptop I was disappointed with the quality with which it is made and the slowness with which it works

There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up. We would recommend that you check for and install updates. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications. Multiple restarts are recommended to ensure all updates are installed.

    This computer was suggested to me buy Geek Squad. It is very slow, loading is slow, processor slow. I have super blast internet and it is slow. I wished I had never purchased this model. Now I am looking for new computer.

    hasnt been a year and it died on me. It moved slow months before it turned off completely.

    I love love love this pc. I love it so much that returning it broke my heart. I loved the speed and the big bright screen. The issue was the heat of the computer. Even after a replacement was provided it had the same issue. I had to return it and go to Amazon to get my pc. Updating the new computer is cool as a cucumber. I will be back best buy to purchase a tv.

      We do understand your concern about thermal issues.



      It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.
