Working in great condition, with 12 GB RAM, the processing speed is super fast. The screen resolution is really good. A perfect laptop for for coders with huge screen and perfect for watching movies and good for games.

Slow! I've had this laptop for a few months now, and I've wanted to throw it up against the wall several times. I've updated the RAM to 20gb, and it still lags line crazy! It takes on average 5 minutes to boot up! I hate this computer!

Since I bought this computer, it has given me many problems, it freezes, you can't download more than one or two programs because it becomes extremely slow, you have to delete absolutely everything, it is very slow to open applications or browse, it was really the worst purchase of my life.

The computer is unusually slow at a startup, Battery lasts about 3 hours, love a big screen. Does not have an optical drive.

Great Laptop for the value. Fast, easy set-up. Multi-task capable, great memory, fast start-up. Only real negative is the Key Board. Not lit and in certain light, difficult to see the key letter/function.

It is slow but gets the job done and is very affordable. The HDD and i5 processor make this slow to startup and navigate. The battery life is short too and this may be because of the HDD versus the SSD. The keyboard is not backlit which normally wouldn't be an issue, but the keys are silver and the characters are light gray. The keyboard is definitely the worst part of the laptop. It does feature USB and HDMI ports which is really nice and it has a classic, clean look. Unfortunately, I will be returning the laptop.

This is a great utility laptop. It's reasonably light, has a big screen, has an illuminated keypad, a full numeric keypad, and a reasonable array of ports. I wish it had usbc power, but on every other measure it's a great system.

I've had this laptop for just over a year now, not lookung for a warranty issue or anything like that, my issue is, it has always been slow, slow to start windows, slow to open programs, just slow. I purchased as a work pc, am retired and have had some health issues and over the last year had 4 surgeries so the laptop has not been used. The internet used with this laptop is from a iphone hotspot. When turning on today, took 20 minutes to start windows and got a popup stating needed to update windows, beeing it is so slow and with hotspot, I brought it home to use on Spectrum High speed internet and went to windows update, has been setting for over 2 hours with scrooling bar below Checking for updates window, DON'T BUY ASUS laptop !

Everything seems okay. The thing i observed is Speed. Speed is super slow

I like the laptop and have not had any issues with it. I am giving it a 4 because the battery life for minimal usage seems to be poor. I need to charge the battery daily which I would expect with game play or video viewing but with only email review it was a bit of a disappointment. The charging cord could be longer. Norton was included, but I will not be bothering with the free trial since you have to give them a credit card and set your subscription to automatic renewal to get it. You can cancel it right away but since I have to even share a credit card, I will not use it.

Using this for development and i like it so far and doing it is supposed to do. no complains

Bought this for my elderly Mother to replace her old laptop which was ready to blow up. She love this ASUS! Very easy to use and we were able to get her connected right away. Great price for a great laptop. Highly recommend! 10/10

Purchased for work. Visually the screen is very grainy and pixilated. Very very slow right from purchas date. Would not recommend.

We needed a replacement laptop in a hurry and it is okay for the price. It is very slow and it is hard to see the keyboard at night because of the color and it not having a backlight. Other than that is has been okay for everyday use.

Have had it for over 2 years now and it’s perfect for everything.

I have nothing but good experience with Asus Products and this hasn't disappoint either. The only downside is the keyboard, a backlit one would have been nice to have.

I bought this laptop in February 2022, to replace a similar laptop damaged by water in Late January 2021, Best Buy has yet to repair, replace, or retrieve the hard drive's data. The ASUS - Vivobook 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core 10th Gen i5 is adequate, but has multiple non-friendly user features. On most Windows systems you can right click on the menu bar over the designated icon (i.e., sound, wireless, etc...) you can and make changes accordingly. However, with the ASUS - Vivobook, you have manually open your system settings to make these changes because right clicking on the icon on the menu bar fails to do this. - As the work around solution, leave the setting icon open for ready access when you have to make changes to your systems setting. Overall, there are better laptops for a similar price, but it's functional-enough, when you require a laptop in a pinch.

VERY short battery life, it only lasts about 2 hours at full charge and that’s with a decent brightness, below 50%. The speakers are trash, almost useless, unless there’s absolutely no background sound you can’t hear them, that might be a Windows 11 problem, fixable with a further update but for now I just got this laptop and I’m not too pleased. Besides that I found it’s speed to be way beyond average as opposed to the other comments I’ve read. If you’re on the fence about buying it consider you must keep it plugged in if you’re gonna use it so maybe not the best out there if you’re planning on carrying it around campus for longer than one single class.
