    We needed a replacement laptop in a hurry and it is okay for the price. It is very slow and it is hard to see the keyboard at night because of the color and it not having a backlight. Other than that is has been okay for everyday use.

    VERY short battery life, it only lasts about 2 hours at full charge and that’s with a decent brightness, below 50%. The speakers are trash, almost useless, unless there’s absolutely no background sound you can’t hear them, that might be a Windows 11 problem, fixable with a further update but for now I just got this laptop and I’m not too pleased. Besides that I found it’s speed to be way beyond average as opposed to the other comments I’ve read. If you’re on the fence about buying it consider you must keep it plugged in if you’re gonna use it so maybe not the best out there if you’re planning on carrying it around campus for longer than one single class.

    Review of ASUS - Vivobook 17.3" Laptop

    I bought this laptop in February 2022, to replace a similar laptop damaged by water in Late January 2021, Best Buy has yet to repair, replace, or retrieve the hard drive's data. The ASUS - Vivobook 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core 10th Gen i5 is adequate, but has multiple non-friendly user features. On most Windows systems you can right click on the menu bar over the designated icon (i.e., sound, wireless, etc...) you can and make changes accordingly. However, with the ASUS - Vivobook, you have manually open your system settings to make these changes because right clicking on the icon on the menu bar fails to do this. - As the work around solution, leave the setting icon open for ready access when you have to make changes to your systems setting. Overall, there are better laptops for a similar price, but it's functional-enough, when you require a laptop in a pinch.

    The computer is ok. It’s light weight consider it’s a larger screen. I don’t know if it’s a windows 11 issue but it is pretty slow and I haven’t add programs. For the price is 5 stars.

    Great Computer... But switch to windows 10

    When I booted the computer up, I immedietly removed s mode. Than I faced lag with windows 11. I now have to wait 10 day to downgrade to windows 10. If you have seen all of todays gamers, they all either use linux, or windows 10. But hey, its a 600 dollar computer. Now if you dont want to wait 10 days, I strongly reccomend dowloading brave browser, its super fast, but you should still dowload windows 10. The keys are ok, but I can see them fine.(I have memorized the keys though, so maybe its just me. Its super lightweight, and battery life is decent. I am a student in 7th grade, so take this review strongly.

    Horrible!!! Brand new and was taking for ever to power on. Then i thought, well maybe its because it needs some updates.. i have been updating it every day the new updates coming in until there was no more updates... until this day it is very slow... but best buy policy is 14 day for returns and i was 9 months pregnant when purchased it online with delivery i wasnt going to go to a location to return ... so stuck with this piece of garbage now and wasted $700 i could have spent on something that will not tale 25min to power on.

    Can’t see the keyboard letters used about four times and the keyboard failed runs so slow you’ll think your internet connection is bad to bad I can’t rate it zero stars

    it was not what I expected, did not want to go to Harrisburg store to see so I took a chance. I can't believe Asus would build a 2021 computer with a 2009 machanical harddrive in it.. Nice the motherboard has a M.2 slot / but thanks Asus NO SCREW TO HOLD IT DOWN CONTACTED ASUS AND AFTER 25 MINUTES ON HOLD WAS TOLD "ASUS DOES NO GIVE INFORMATION ON USER UPGRADES AND OR SELL PARTS FOR THE SAME" ... SHAME ON YOU side rejection is terrible to unuseable if you are not directly in front of it .. battery only lasts in minimal use for 43 hours so it is a loptop that you need to keep plugged in

    Computer not as fast as I thought it would be hard to see the keys due to fact they have no illumination overall I would not purchase this computer nor would I recommend it to anyone and the battery life is absolutely terrible

    I am very disappointed in this laptop. The battery life is horrible, it is slower than my old computer and constantly locks up on me. I would not recommend this product.

    I absolutely would refer to Best But for any laptops. The ASUS VivoBook has been great, golds so much storage and never runs slow. Easily go between up to 4 screens at a time.

    Overall, a mediocre machine possibly adequate for simple household use. Like the silver smooth looking of austerity. Decent display with 17.3" screen. Surprisingly slow, especially during boot-up, even with 12G RAM and 1T HDD on i5 (wonder how much of one's lifetime it could accrue b/w one and the machine to stare at each other. Suggest adding a new design of alarm to wake one up when the machine is ready :-). Seemingly a dumb design of the keyboard with lack of color contrast b/w keys and symbols, w/o back-lit. Not recommended for fat fingers.

    I like this laptop. It has everything I wanted. It can be slow at times, but I had a 5 year old laptop and I’m comparing to that. I am buying something to make it faster for $100 soon. But, I’m in no hurry. I LOVE big screen. It has the memory I needed and that was more important initially. I like the keyboard. It’s easier for my stubby fingers somehow, and the lettering is faint, but doesn’t hinder my typing in any way. I’ve only used it unplugged once on purpose and the battery lasted as expected. BUT it’s only worth all of this because I got it on clearance for half price. I’m happy with it!!

    My kids each got one for Christmas! They love them. They do school work on them & use them for basic gaming. It is a large laptop, so it’s not something you want to carry around with on the go.

    ASUS laptop power supply burned up within the first year. I tried to physically replace it..but was unsuccessful. Go with a better brand.. always pays to not buy the less expensive.

    I bought this laptop a little over a month ago and this laptop does not hold a charge. After two hours of continuous use it has to be placed on a charger. I am extremly disappointed and past the deadline to return this laptop.
