    Shorted out the motherboard by using a usb sd card reader. As soon I touched the usb-c connector of the sd card reader to the usb-c port the laptop shut down and never booted again. That shouldn’t have happened. Should still be under a one year warranty.

    We are returning it for a reason. Despite being brand new, it was at times exceptionally slow. The video and sound would opt to not work occasionally, and when I tried to go into the settings to check them it wouldn’t open. The computer would go to sleep and could only be made active again by doing a manual power off and turning the whole thing back on. The final straw was that it took 10 minutes to turn on and log in. Then after another 10 minutes I had the Internet open but still couldn’t click on anything and couldn’t reset, once again had to manually power off.

    Battery replaced under warranty

    Had to return it for battery failure, but it was under warranty. Otherwise a good machine, Good specs for the price. But be advised the solid state is very heavy in transport.

    The power supply failed after 3 months. Contacted ASUS warranty and got the runaround. Can't use and can't return.

      Dear DVDMN,

      If the laptop will no longer power on, boot up or it's just black screen, please do the following.

      Verify if the AC adapter is connected properly from the laptop to a known good power outlet or AC source. Try another power source.

      Try to press and hold down the power button to shut it down completely, just in case laptop is not in hibernate mode, wait for at least 10 seconds then power on. Please wait, if the system is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory. This will reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter then power on the unit.

    No light in the keyboard was not given enough info hate this lap top My local store closed I have a geek program I can use very disappointed in best buy

    WORST PURCHASE EVER! If I could give no stars I would. Ordered the computer, waited about a week to pick it up, Picked it up on October 8th, set up October 9th and 10th, by October 11th the left side USB ports stopped working, by 10/16/21 the motherboard crashed! I am normally a Lenovo person but I thought for the cost this computer had everything. You get what you pay for!

      We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing issues with the USB port and speed or performance with the laptop.





      These issues are temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/. While accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.

    Not suitable as a heavy work laptop

    The laptop screen blurs out during zoom meetings and the laptop cannot handle heavy software, the screen starts to blink every hour. The keyboard letters are printed in grey and the laptop color is also grey, this makes the letters hard to read.

      On the contrary, lots of satisfied customers, having positive experience using the product, will agree with me that it is a decent laptop that is perfect for running popular computing applications, without compromising system stability and performance. While using Zoom, please verify that internet service is stable and working properly since poor intenet connection will definitely affect the quality of the web camera, and overall system performance. The screen blinking randomly may be related to Windows update. While updates are being applied in the System Registry, the screen will randomly blink or black out momentarily. In regards to the letters and keys color contrast, please ensure your workspace has an ambient lighting. A keyboard cover or skin maybe used, also.

    I would give zero stars if I could. Bought it new and had it shipped. At first, I loved it, but the screen glitched right out of the box. I thought it got messed up during shipping. I brought it back and ordered a new one to be sent to the store. Same glitching on the screen is occurring right out of the box. Don’t waste your time.
