Asus Zenbook UX303 is a great laptop, it came with all desirable features which include its lightweight body, long battery life, and high end specifications, as well as its reasonable price. One downside of this laptop is that it cannot be flipped over to turn into a tablet, this feature seems to be common nowadays but Zenbook UX303 does not come with it. Lastly, greatest advantage of buying this laptop from BestBuy is that you get $20 coupon from them upon purchasing it, and you can use this coupon for a portable DVD Writer for your computer.

+Pro: light; portable; fast; easy; and priced OK. -Cons: -poor display resolution (and unable to increase resolution say, for GoogleEarth, etc.). -Pre-installed Windows10 does NOT include Adobe Acrobat and other useful utilities. -Office 2016 discontinued "Picture Manager." Wish it would come with Windows 7. Oh well...

    Great laptop for photo editing

I did the research first & thought this looked closest to a new MacBook Pro. Normally I get an asus gaming laptop 17" but wanted something easier to carry around that's just as fast. For photoshop & Lightroom cc this is perfect. Nvidia graphics & 500gb hard drive make it just as fast for editing as my big laptop plus the screen is really sharp. It meets the challenge of large raw files with ease & it's less than half the price of a 13" mb pro which only comes with 8gb & i5 & that's just not enough to do the job when you're editing 1500+ images at a time. It is everything I wanted & way more. Don't know how many hrs you really get on the battery because when you're using graphic hog programs you better plug it in no matter what system you're using. I use a Logitech 325 mouse. The geek squad guys who set it up used the track pad & loved this laptop. They couldn't believe it was being picked up by an old lady! Asus is reliable & the fact that it was the only 13" I could find with the right specs sealed the deal. Think about it...do you really want to spend way too much on a laptop that's slower just so you can flash that apple logo in Starbucks while you're drinking water cause you can't afford coffee or do you want the right tool for the job that won't let you down? This is a really good pro laptop.

This is my first ASUS. ASUS seems to always get good reviews and I am very satisfied so far. I like the sleek compact design. This laptop with the SSD is very quiet and stays cool while running. It has a fast startup and program activation time. The click speed seems to be sensitive even after selecting a slower setting. I think there's some wasted space around the screen, maybe a 1/2" on top and sides, and an inch on the bottom.

Very fast laptop, just know it is fragile, so you have to take care of it and get something protective when travelling. The touch screen is very good.

Machine is great, but there is too much "free" software loaded up that I did not desire. Instead, make a download available if people want it. Understand you may get comped for the pre-loaded software, but it is very irritating. That is why this is not a five star rating but borders on a 3 - 4 star.

My wife wanted a small laptop, but needed the power and speed. This machine has met all her needs. It handles any kind of streaming videos, multiple applications open at the same time, and gives no lag.

This is my first laptop and I certainly considered getting a MacAir, but once I compared the storage capacity and co-processor speeds, this Asus Zenbook was the clear value for money. I was most persuaded by having a touch screen which I like using on my phone and on notepads I have owned. I wanted to go all Apple, but couldn't see paying the same for less.

    A Piece of Junk

Not quite 13 months after purchasing an Asus UX303UB Ultrabook from Best Buy (price: $1202.99 plus tax), while opening the unit, gently, the hinge broke. There was no previous indication of a problem. That was not quite one month past the end of the one-year warranty period. The Geek Squad gave me an estimate of $618 to repair it. I declined that and asked Asus whether they would repair it under warranty or some other program. Asus replied with a $690 estimate. Searching on-line, I find lots of other reports of the same problem with Asus laptops. I will not buy another Asus product.

Good and strong laptop. My only issue is with the lack of ergonomics (its hard to hold your hands off the laptop when typing a long time and that makes it hard not to hit wrong keys from time to time. But haven't found a laptop that is any better in this area. Overall it seems to be a good buy, although pricey. Hoping this last me a long long time!

Fantastic machine. I spent over 5 hours of research over several days. I also went to the store and tried a few different machines - dell, hp, lenovo, microsoft, toshiba, acer. I could not try the asus because the store didn't have one, so I gambled a bit based on other reviews and youtube videos, and I am very happy I did. Pros: fast, elegant, great display, great quality. It just feels and performs right. Cons: bloatware. I did remove all of it, but still I wish companies let us decide what to install.

    Great Little Powerhouse

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I do a lot of photo editing with RAW files and I needed a powerhouse of a computer that would still be a powerhouse of a computer a few years from now as technology changes. I also needed a crisp screen and wanted a smaller size (my older laptop, also an ASUS, weighs about 6lbs and has a 15" screen.) This laptop is fantastic! The SSD is lightning fast, the screen is gorgeous (I didn't need a touch screen but I wanted the QuadHD- I'm one of those people who can tell the difference at a glance between FullHD and QuadHD). My friend who doesn't have the best eyesight and thought the 13.3" screen would be too small is even envying it right now. Windows10 took some getting used to, but I like it now that I'm adapted. It's very easy to use, it's just very different if you're used to Windows 7. The keyboard is nice. (I'm accustomed to ASUS keyboards, and this one isn't much different from my old one. The keyboard was definitely a factor I considered when I chose this computer over a Dell with similar specs.) There are a couple things that I've read in other reviews that people have trouble with which I think are simply due to the user not being familiar with the computer. The first is the track pad- I thought it didn't work properly (wouldn't scroll) and I was looking all over the internet for a solution to make my brand new track pad work properly. What I discovered (by accident) is that the trackpad is set to scroll BACKWARDS, as if you were scrolling the touch screen itself. That means that down is up and up is down. It's not hard to get used to, but if you're not used to it, it's hard to figure out. I love the trackpad functionality (zoom, scroll, grab/drag) but it does take some getting used to and I often use an external mouse as well, depending on what I'm doing. The other is the backlit keyboard. You can turn it off! fn+f3/f4 adusts the backlight, all the way down is off. I've seen other reviewers say that they can't turn it off and it wastes battery, which is untrue, but the only way to turn it off is by using ASUS' awesome shortcut keys (fn+ f keys. There's also one to turn the screen off, f7, so if you hit that one and your screen goes black, you didn't break it!) I can't speak to battery life, unfortunately, because I'm one of those people who uses the laptop plugged in 90% of the time, so battery life isn't really important to me. From what I've read on other reviews and observed in the short time I've run it on battery, if battery life is your chief concern you might want to look at other models which have fewer power draining features. I'm sure also that the power consumption of this model can be optimized, but since it's not my chief concern I haven't done it.
