Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially had the ZenBook dúo but i couldn’t adjust to the keyboard, so I went with this one instead. Not as happy about some of the functionality and/or specs in comparison. First, the camera is, I guess, a piece of crap? I had to buy a secondary camera to appear anything but grainy, even in good lighting. I have never had this trouble with any laptop camera. The audio, wifi, and overheating are all a bit disappointing. The duo was great minus the horrible keyboard layout to compensate for the screen, so I’m disappointed that this laptop isn’t comparable in all other respects. I’m on video calls all the time now, as most folks are, but this laptop doesn’t perform well for that. Great battery life though. I would maybe recommend this laptop, depending on the needs of the user.

But I do want to add something to this review. I could not have handled this purchase without the guidance of Geek Squad in Idaho Falls. I made a few trips to visit with Chris and he took care of me every step of the way. He was able to help me determine what I needed and to guide in making a choice that filled my needs. But I didn’t get a chance to honor his efforts and others that also stepped in when I picked my computer up after data transfer. I didn’t get that evaluation e mail to thank them well enough. So more than evaluating the computer is this positive evaluation if that service and Schroeder and the others.

Screen Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this laptop for almost 2 weeks now. I have had many problems with the screen flickering and just turning off completely. Checked all the drivers and made sure everything was up to date but it did not solve my problem. If you need a fast, crisp looking machine this is it but make sure you have the warranty. Luckily I am within the return period and so it will be going back.

I certainly understand your concern regarding the flickering screen and the inconvenience this may have caused. Try making sure your chipset driver is up to date. Also, please try to connect the laptop to another known good power source or AC outlet and away from electronic or electrical devices that maybe generating excessive electrical or RF noise.
