This was my second android watch; first was the Motorola 360. These were fun watches to play with but i confirmed my non-need of a smartwatch that needed daily charging. I might retry after newer generations provide a more compelling feature set.

This watch didn’t last 5 months. I work a job that is very strenuous and calls for me to be outside. It stopped charging after a few months of use. Also it worked fine but it felt a little laggy in the user face.

Great Value for the Money

The ASUS ZenWatch 2 is a dramatic improvement over the previous ZenWatch model. Although most of the features are the same, ASUS has made some improvements: (1) a digital crown that can be used as a home or settings button, (2) a choice of watch sizes from 1.45" to 1.63", (3) a larger variety of band choices from rubber to stainless steel, (4) the casing choices are now silver, gunmetal or rose-gold. Previously, only silver was available.
The best reason to get this watch is that it is an even better value than last year's $199.99 price. The ZenWatch 2 is priced from $129 to $149 for rubber or leather bands. Metal bands will be slightly higher.
The only negative is that ASUS removed the heart monitor function that was present in the original model. It still has the pedometer feature.
If you're looking for a smartwatch that won't cramp your budget, the ASUS ZenWatch 2 is a solid choice.

I was waiting for the gen 2 smartwatches to come out before I got one. This watch is an excellent bargain. Same internals as other watches at half the price. Battery life is great. if I keep the "Always-ON" screen mode OFF I finish the day with about 70% battery life left. If I leave Always-ON on I get about 40-50% left. It looks very nice. It's pretty big on my wrist, but looks better than other round watches I've tried on. BTW, turning off Google Fit helps the battery a lot, so consider that if you'd rather have battery life over Fit functionality.

I've bought a few Smartwatches and have returned all of them. The Asus Zenwatch 2 is a great watch which I am keeping. With the new update you can take calls from the watch without touching your phone. Be aware that you have to get the bigger version of this watch because the smaller one does not come with a speaker. Picture messages are also viewable on the watch. Like all the other Smartwatches you can get notifications for whatever you want. The lack of heart rate sensor is no big deal (just a gimmick to me). My wife has an Apple watch and the Zenwatch 2 is just like it minus the heart rate sensor...oh and price. I drive a lot for my job so it helps being able to take a call on my wrist instead of digging in my pocket or looking for my phone. The battery last all day and then some however, I charge it at night with my phone (LG G4). For 129 bucks you can't go wrong if you have an Android phone. All other smart watches with built in speakers seem to be upwards of 300 dollars.

BEST SMART WATCH FOR THE BUCK

You will feel smarter wearing this watch, just knowing that you paid much less than majority of others, without losing anything where it counts. Well built and works fantastically for what I need it to do. I had a very nice Samsung rep at the local Best Buy store help me getting my watch going and he was impressed with the built quality and features. You will not regret it if you buy it. The battery life is fantastic with almost 2 full days of use.

Better than Samsung Gear 2

I had the first Samsung Gear and recently the Gear 2, but returned it because nothing worked on it as well as advertised. After returning the Gear 2, I researched the Asus Zen and then purchased one. The Asus works vastly better than the Gear 2 and at half the cost.

Great purchase!

Full disclosure- this is my first smart watch, so I have nothing to compare it to experience wise. Purchased due to my job and missing loads of email that is time sensitive due to not being able to carry my phone on me. (Yea, women's clothing just doesn't offer the same pockets as guys!) Works like a champ for this. Bought the larger size assuming that the display would be easier to read. Not true- saw a review online showing side by side with the smaller size- same readability. The smaller display offers an upgraded version that makes up for the smaller size. Battery, for now, seems to go quicker than advertised. I charge every night. Today, down to under 25% by lunch... possible the charger was knocked at night though. Can't find a second charging unit to purchase yet to keep at work, so hopefully soon. This watch replaces my former Fitbit Flex pedometer beautifully, offers the ability to read and send email/text, adds other notifications as curated by the owner, plenty of apps to choose from... in all I am very happy with it. My only issue is that this is clearly marketed to men- tough to find more feminine watch faces, bands, etc. Still comfortable on my wrist though, and I have a sliightly smaller wrist size than typical. Large face covers the wrist though in case that is an issue for you. Not clunky, just big and sleek. No way would I pay double the price for not much more than what this does- a great value in comparison to the higher priced competition!

Great Smartwatch

I had bought a pebble time and a few other cheap smartwatches from amazon and returned them all. The cheap smartwatches are useless and the pebble time, although was very nice, it was very hard to see the text on it making it useless for me. Maybe because I'm getting older and things are getting hard to see at my age...LOL. I bought this Zenwatch 2 from Asus at Best buy online and was hoping that it was better than the others. Without paying over 300 dollars, this smartwatch is awesome. My friend has the new samsung S2 which is over 300 bucks and I thought my Zenwatch 2 compared very closely to it if not better. For the price, you can't go wrong with this watch and the text is big enough to view all information for my old eyes. Great product!

I have had this watch for two days now and the battery life has been great. I can see how I could get 2 days out of this watch before charging it. I have an LG G3 paired with it and it seems like the google now works better on my watch than my phone. Overall I love this watch and all the features. I just can't wait for more apps to be available.

I had the apple watch. It looked very small on me, but this watch is very large easy to use and better looking.
