I got the Zenwatch 2 couple of wks ago for $130. It comes with charger. The memory is 512mb of RAM and 4gb of storage. Processor is 1.2ghz. FYI, the more expensive watches have 3 times the amount of RAM and therefore functions faster. But for this low price, 512mb RAM works just fine. I paired it to my Samsung Galaxy S6 very easily. You need to get the Android Wear app from your cell phone app store. This watch is supposedly also able to pair and function with Apple iPhones too but I didn't try that yet. The one thing I love about it is that Asus has released an update on the firmware for this watch in 2016 that enables the watch to answer calls and talk to callers right there from the watch itself as long as your cell phone is nearby the watch. It basically connects itself via Bluetooth to the phone. A great function that my $250 Samsung Gear S2 lacks! (hint, hint: Samsung, do something about this! ) . So make sure to update the firmware of this watch in its settings menu as soon as you get it. The bluetooth effective range is about 50ft but the watch also connects to Wifi too so even if it's out of BT range, wifi is still connected. I also like the square display too which is a 320x320 resolution that gives me better and a bit bigger area to read with good clarity. No display burns so far either. It shows very nice. Battery lasts for a day and a half. Charges very quickly. In the first day or two, it did power cycle a few times due to various upgrades but all normal after that. It does track my heart beat, steps and calories burned at all time. And if you wear it at night, it tracks your sleep as well. There are plenty apps and watchfaces that you can get for free or buy at very little prices. I love the calculator and the camera app. Camera app turns the cell phone camera on from the watch so one could view in the watch wherever the cell phone camera is pointing at. This comes handy in fixing things in tight spaces when you need to look at an object and your head doesn't fit in a tight space but your cell phone does. The cons could be the small RAM , when you want to respond to a text , it launches google speech-to-text function that sometimes with low RAM , it fails to do so. But I usually use the pre-made text responses that it has anyway. All and all , I am very happy with this smartwatch. It is very functional at a low price!

The Asus Zenwatch 2 is a great smartwatch for the beginner. It is at a good price point to not blow all your money in the event it is not for you. The Asus is a good looking time piece running the Android Wear OS and works with Android phones as well as iphones. You do not purchase a device plan through your cell phone provider; it works via Bluetooth connectivity with your phone as well as some wifi connectivity, and does some functionality standalone. It will let you choose different faces using a companion phone app. On many faces you can put three or six guages on the watch to give you readouts for weather, steps taken, calories burned, battery level of watch or of phone, etc. The smartwatch had enough power to last two days. The accompanying power cord can charge the watch up to sixty percent in about a half hour, so you can easily recharge the watch daily while you are showering. I use the smartwatch as a notification device. I can turn down all my sounds so that people are not disturbed by ringers and text noises. Also, i set recurring alarms for actions i need to be reminded such as times to wake, time to go to work, appointments, etc. There are good apps for taking activity with the smartwatch and you don't have to have your phone with you since the watch will capture steps. One thing i have noticed is that my watch and my phone count steps differently so do not get too hung up about the exact measurement. You can also get notifications for texts and emails on your phone. It is a small display of the message but it helps determine if an email or text is worth pulling out your phone to read the message. Your caller ID will display on your phone for incoming calls and you can answer or hang up a call from your asus watch. Another great feature is to control playback of music on the smartphone from your smartwatch. That is handy when on a run or riding the lawnmower or driving. you can have your phone paired with the smartwatches at the same time as a Bluetooth headset so they work well together. I totally recommend this watch for beginners as well as a replacement smartwatch. It is a guilt free choice.

This new one apparently charges faster and that is supposed to be the only difference. I can confirm this because I charged it while I was driving and it went from 18% to 100% in less than thirty minutes. That's impressive and very useful, especially considering this big, beautiful screen and the lackluster battery life from Android Wear. Speaking of that battery life, I get over a day and I receive a lot of calls and notifications with my profession. Considering the price point, the main reason to choose this watch over a Pebble Time (which I also own) is because you want an AMOLED screen that looks like your phone...you want Android Wear...and you want to be able to answer/make calls directly from your watch. You will still need your phone within bluetooth range to make those calls, but the microphone/volume combo sounds good using just the watch. Before I jump into the pros and cons, let's talk about the watch size. It's huge. It's ridiculously huge. I have normal lower arms and I think it looks silly, though most people I ask think it looks fine. Unless you are just a person with really big arms, it's going to take up the majority of your wrist width. See the pictures I've posted for a better idea. If you like big watches, this is heaven for you. I personally think the included band makes it look bigger because of the contrasting color, so I switched it with a matching silver Milanese loop band. It makes the watch look much nicer in my opinion. Also having it all one color seems to help with the size. The old version of this watch came in a smaller size, but it didn't include the speaker to make calls. To me, that completely negates why this watch is such a bargain. I can live with the size for the speaker. PROS: Phone calls from the wrist - This isn't going to be for everyone, but very few watches currently have the capability to make and receive phone calls...especially at this price point. There are a ton of features on this watch and this is one of the most important. I certainly don't use it every day, but it's there when I need it. As a Realtor, I tend to walk around my house taking calls and texting. With this watch, I can leave my phone on the kitchen counter and never have to worry about missing a call. If I'm in a different room, I just answer from the watch. It beats sprinting to the kitchen. Screen and screen size - Beautiful for a watch that's less than 140 bucks and runs the latest Android Wear. It's big enough to make the touch screen aspect easy to use. Android Wear - I think this next Android Wear 2.0 update will finally put AW on the map, although it's good now. It's one of the reasons I'm thinking this will be my main watch for the rest of this year. Lots of app choices and I've always been an Android guy from the beginning. Google Voice is super useful on a wearable. Google maps shows up on the wrist. Google music. Alerts and agendas through Google. The Google Now cards (though they can be disabled). All the good parts of Android are on the watch Build quality - Put a link or mesh band on this watch and it looks quite expensive. I like the silver casing as opposed to the plastic Pebble Time look. Looks more like a normal watch. Battery Life - I haven't owned any other Android Wear watches, but everything I read says this is one of the best...and this new quick charge version is FAST to charge! Wi-Fi capability - I have my settings to automatic and when my bluetooth range drops out, the watch and phone can communicate through wi-fi networks. Apparently, they don't even have to be on the same network. I haven't tested that out because there is never a time I would leave somewhere without my phone. I could see this being useful if you wanted to leave your phone in your locker at the gym and take the watch with you. As long as both are on the same network, they should not need to be in bluetooth range to communicate. I'll have to experiment some more with this option and update my review. Google Fit - As Google Fit makes improvements, having an AW watch with Google Fit is going to be very useful. Nothing actually syncs with Google Fit like an AW watch, so this is your best bet if you want to be in the Google ecosystem for fitness. Yes, it lacks a heart rate monitor...but optical HR monitors are far from the most accurate for quick spikes during workouts. When that technology gets better, I'll buy in to a watch that has it. All the ones I've tried with it have been underwhelming. Other watches say they sync with Google Fit, but nothing is going to be as seamless unless it's running AW. Watch Faces - Lots of options built in and on the Play Store. Can even download an app from Asus to make your own. CONS: Bezel - Although not as big as some watches, it still contributes to making the watch unnecessarily huge. Attn: Smart watch makers, please get it together regarding the large bezels on your next generation of watches. Bluetooth Range - This wasn't as great as I had hoped. I may lose connection at less than 20 ft with one wall. That doesn't happen with a bluetooth earpiece. Having the wi-fi option comes in handy to combat this issue. Pedometer Feature - Horribly inaccurate compared to every other wearable I've tried. I've worn 4 wearables at the same time and most are very close. The Pebble Time was my most stingy step tracker, but I think it was the most accurate for not counting hand movements. Today, I wore the Pebble Time and the Zenwatch 2. It was a pretty inactive day. The Pebble Time counted 6,160 steps. The Zenwatch 2 read just over 3,700. That's a huge difference. I know my Pebble Time has been accurate through prior testing. I could not care less about step count, but the problem is the watch uses this data for other things that it syncs with Google Fit. I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm a little disappointed. It should not be difficult to get a functional pedometer into a $140 watch. Every other company has managed to do it. Maybe I got a lemon, but I've read about other experiences like mine with this watch. Wellness App - Worse than the pedometer. I wish it could be uninstalled without rooting. This app doesn't even count your BMR (basal metabolic rate...or "inactive calories" in every other watch). If it does, I'm missing it. Terrible app that is pre-installed on the watch and can't be removed. CONCLUSION: Despite a few quirks, you aren't currently going to find a more feature-rich Android Wear watch for the price. I would say it's not even close right now. Looks, build quality, battery life, typical AW features, and more for under $140. Its true competitors are mostly a hundred to two hundred dollars more. The Pebble Time is a great watch around this price range..and they do a lot of the same things. But if you want Android Wear, that big color screen, and the ability for phone calls...the Zenwatch 2 is your best bang for the buck so far in 2016. I've used the ZenWatch 2 daily for about a month now, and this is an excellent way to test the smartwatch field--and Android Wear in particular. What has impressed me most is that I'm consistently getting 4 full days (powered off at night) on a single charge! Now, to be fair, I've disabled the WiFi (so it's dependent solely on my phone via Bluetooth), turned off the step counter, turned off Always-On and Gesture-On (so I have to manually tap the screen for the display), and have it set to the lowest brightness...which is still easy to read except in the brightest and most direct sunlight! One thing to bear in mind: Smartwatches (at this point) are more reactionary devices than anything else. These won't replace your phone, but they are a helpful extension to your phone. A huge plus is that it responds to "Ok Google" commands--although sometimes its voice-to-text translations are wonky. Holding your wrist at chest level and speaking normally tends to work best. Speaking directly into the watch overwhelms the mic. At this stage in Android Wear's OS, watches at the $300+ level are not worth the price. It's still too limited to justify the cost. But Asus produced an amazing device at an equally impressive price, and it's definitely worth every penny!

Before purchasing this watch, I read many reviews on this watch and many other watches. Ultimately, my decision came down to price. It was about $100 less than its closest competitor. It lacks features such as a heart rate monitor, and ambient light sensor. However it has a speaker on it, which I use regularly for phone calls. It isn't very loud, but it gets the job done. Every once in a whIle the watch gets a little slow, and glitch. It is a computer afterall, so a quick reboot, and it's back to normal functioning. I usually make it through a day without draining the battery past 70%. Overall I've been happy with this watch.

This is a terrific watch. It looks great and I get lots of complements on it. It doesn't have much for fitness tracking but is a great watch for just using Android Wear. Can get notifications and use some basic apps. The "ok google" voice commands are great. Send messages and make calls with your voice. It is extremely accurate. At this price point there is no better watch out there running Android Wear. The only thing the much more expensive watches have that this one doesn't is a heart rate monitor. Those, including the Apple Watch, are not that accurate anyway so what's the point. Save the cash and buy this watch.

I originally had a fitbit surge that stopped working after it got a little bit wet when I was watering the grass. So I was on the hunt for a new watch originally I just wanted a step counter since I do a lot of walking at work. After hearing about all the features this watch had I was skeptical on quality since it was priced so low compared to the $250 I paid for the fitbit surge. It took me a day to play with it and figure out how to customize all the features and now I love it! I love that I can have my phone in a drawer and tend to patients in other rooms and still get notifications on my watch and can even reply to text and answer phone calls it also can play music on my watch. It also of course does have step counter. I only need to charge it every 2-3 days and it is fully charged within a hour.

my favorite android watch was the original zenwatch. got loads of compliments on it and it was mostly mistaken for an apple watch. This watch is just as handsome and more. Better screen, features, however I miss the leather premium feel of the strap from the original. Bonus for that trade off though is there is no irritation when there is wetness, like rain or working out and such. I thought I would miss the heart rate monitor, but alas - I do not! Also the price point for this was spot on @ $150

I really enjoy my watch. The battery life is really nice. The only thing that is a little annoying is that certain apps constantly notify on the watch. Just have to me with the notification settings.

The Asus ZenWatch 2 is a tight slap on the Apple Watch. This product comes are a super cheap price and performs almost all the functions that the super expensive Ape watch does. The ZenWatch2 pairs with your Android / Apple phone using Bluetooth backed App. You can make / receive calls on the watch. It has inbuilt speaker. You can use Maps. You can use all the apps on your phone using the smartwatch. Battery lasts easily 2 days with moderate use. The charger is a quick charger and charges the watch from 0% to 100% in about 2 hours. The watch features Gorilla glass. I brought 3 watches, kept one for me, gifted one each to brother and brother-in-law.

This was my 1st smart watch. The price was right an the look & style was the best in comparison to the Apple Watch (although I have an android phone) at it's price. But being a slow tech learning, I had several problems getting use to it. The one problem I had was getting my Best Buy employees (even Geek Squad personnel) to be able to explain how the watch worked. Once I started fingering out the watch's apps & how it worked, I was starting to really like it. But then I was having a problem with the battery dying half way through my work day. And with these watches not having a standard charger connection, all I could do is take it off and put it in my pocket. After all why where a watch that is not working? So after this happening 3-4 times I took it to my Geek Squad on my way home one Friday night after dinner with friends. It was late, and in talking to the GS guy he told me I should put a new battery in it. I said, "I"m sorry but I have an extended warranty, and that is why I'm here talking to you". So after about an hour of what could I do for a replacement (since the store no longer had stock of that model), I told the guy just give me the watch, I will deal with it till I decide what to do. The GS guy then told me he had already checked the watch back in as defective and I could not have the watch back. So now it's time for the store to close and I had to spend a $100 more just to walk out of the store with a watch (that I am still not happy with). The basic program of the new watch is not the same programs I liked about this original watch. AND!!! It's a big black goddie watch that I don't like the look or style. BUT... it does have a longer battery life (but that could also be cause I've learned more about battery saving tips from MANY other BB employee's I have chatted in the store with). So I am confused, Yes I liked the watch very much, But not sure if the service I've gotten on it was very good. Would I buy or recommend the watch to others? NO, cause they don't carry it in the stores anymore.

Great wearable watch. The design is nice and good looking. The price of the watch won't break your bank like other wearable. Battery is ok not great got a good day use of it with basic usage. Bluetooth connection wok's flawless, and speaker works great also. Good buy for what it's worth

Very affordable price. ZenWatch2 is my first smartwatch and it just does what I'm looking for. PROS: Decent AMOLED screen, reasonable battery life (2 days with regular usage), fast charge feature (10-15 minutes), fitness tracker, sleep monitor CONS: No heart-rate monitor

I always wanted a smart watch but was not a fan of the prices. Found this watch at a reasonable price and does a lot of the functions the other smart watches do. It has a heart rate monitor but it requires the camera on the phone. Has a fitness app and pedometer. Also has software to change the watch faces to over 30 plus faces. Has a voice response mode that let's you make calls and listen to music off the watches speaker. Battery life is good. It last more than a day unless you have the display on all day which will probably drain it to under 10% daily. Has a quick charge mode. Water resistant. Cons are no camera on it and the unlock screen is very sensitive not as precise as the unlock on a phone.

Got this for $75 and its easily a steal! Can get about two 8 hour work days (after optimization and turning off at night) and it charges to full in about 30 minutes. Very easy to customize and it even comes with a speaker, also is confirmed for Android wear 2.0! You can't go wrong!

This my second zen watch. The addition of the speaker is excellent and usable feature. Charging cable vs the previous cradle is more convenient and reliable. Being Android based there are many apps and faces available. Oh! And the price is hundreds less than the competition.

This was the nicest looking smart watch out of all the options Best Buy had, however the face of the watch is very large so it looks better if you have a large wrist.

I got this smart watch for my brother and he absolutely loves it. The integration of this watch with his smartphone is seamless. Although this watch does not have a heart rate sensor, it redeems itself having some other cool features like a speaker. You can make and receives call from the watch and actually have a conversation on your watch without having to pull out your phone from your pocket. The battery life on this device is about a day sometimes more without excessive use. The watch aesthetically looks nice on your hand and is pretty slim and lightweight. The included charger clip is magnetic and detaches easily to avoid doing damage to the watch in case of accidental tripping. Overall it is a great watch and i would highly recommend it. It is not a great compared to the new ones that are coming out, but it does the job that it is intended for.

I was never really interested in smart watches until I came across the Asus ZenWatch 2 at under $100. So far I've been happy with the watch, I get many compliments on the appearance and often it gets mistaken for an Apple watch.(I replaced the 22mm band $8) I am not impressed with Android gear itself. It is nothing more than a notifier for your phone. The ZenWatch 2 is capable of making,receiving calls, and listen to music thru it's integrated speaker, although it is not very practical. Overall, I am content with this watch and I am glad I did not spend a fortune on it, best bang for the buck.

I purchased two of these for my nephews and they loved it. Its affordable, has a solid build, its fast, and holds a charge for about two days. my only cons are its a little too big if you have a small wrist and there is no wireless charging.
