The AT&T Netgear Nighthawk hotspot router works great when it is working. But it will shut itself off even while in use. When this happens the power button is useless the unit will not turn on unless you remove the battery and place it back inside the unit. Yes, even with a fully charged battery. When the battery has been drained the unit will not charge. When you plug in the power cord to unit it will power up and then go immediately off. It will not charge the battery. You have to take the battery out and replace it again to recharge the battery. This unit is flawed and other users have stated the same problem in online forums. I have only had this for 20 days not sure if Best Buy will help. $219 is a lot to spend on something that does not work properly. Buyer Beware.

I paid for full price without the contract. Device cannot be unlocked by ATT. I was advise that I have to use their service for 6 months before they can unlock my fully paid device. Forcing customer to use their expensive service despite that the device is paid in full. Will never recommen buying ATT devices as they will not unlock it. Waste of money!

Found this on sale and thought I would give it a shot. My location with the tower is over a mile. Yet I can still get 3 bars. Connected it to my switch and away it goes. TV, computers, tablets and smartphones. Everything connects. Tried to overload the network with multiple downloads and still keeps ticking. I love it and will be recommending it to friends.

Really needed a hotspot with an Ethernet port for all my wired devices. Specs say port is for offloading only, but not true. Like other reviews, just plug in my PC or a switch and get a 192,.168.1.x address and surf’s up. WiFi range seems kind of short...maybe about 40ft. Not a problem since I’lll be using wired. Works fine with battery removed. With contract, cheaper than an LB1120 and works just as well.

The greatest thing to me about this router is the Ethernet OUT connection. I have it plugged into my hub with a cat-V cable and it works great! No more having to use a range extender to capture my hotspot output.

This can be a great backup to your in-home network. It can tie into Ethernet LAN and be an LTE Modem. GUI is easy to setup to enable/disable/customize features per use case.
