A: $49.99 is the 'discount' price when going with a two year contract. $49.99 (product); $40.00 one time activation fee; a monthly $20 access line fee (to use/access to the high speed data allotment); then there is the contract fee of $20 each month, for 2 years starting from the time you agreed to maintain the contract. If at any time the account is canceled, the person is to pay the remainder $149.99/ $150.00 plus $4 for each month that had been completed. If the 2 year agreement is fulfilled, the $20 contract fee will become a $20 credit for being off contract. $199.99 (unactivated) is the full retail price, so the person will not have to agree to a 2 year contract. If a person decide to go with this price then there will be a $40 one time activation fee and $20 dollar access line fee (if you chose to use it on postpaid plan) You can cancel the account any time without penalty. The $199.99 comes with a prepaid sim card, where as, the $49.99 comes with a postpaid sim card. Yes the sim card is already inside its tray underneath the battery. To activate the postpaid account you would have to go to AT&T's website and do a search for activate sim card.

You should receive the unlock code via email with in a 24 hour time period.
Q: is it ok to leave my charging cable connected to my nighthawk LTE after it is fully charged
A: You can and should remove the fully charged battery if you intend to keep the device plugged into an electrical outlet; because this device can be used without battery power instead of risk the battery swelling up while kept inside the device's battery chamber while left plugged in.
A: It depends on how much data you have with your plan. I have an unlimited plan (grandfathered from back when unlimited meant no throttling). I just slipped my SIM card in it and living in the country I can tell you it’s fast! I run two smart TVs, multiple phones and a tablet off it with no slow downs at all. When I’m at work, I can connect everyone’s phones and we have yet to see it slow down. Average download speeds for in the city are around 100 mbps -128 mbps. In the country, download speeds vary between 50 mbps - 120 mbps.
A: I live in a area where satellite is the only service available but I can get about a 2 bar LTE connection on this hotspot which usually runs at about 26 meg download and 6-8 meg upload speeds. It works great and I got rid of the satellite internet. If you can get the unlimited plan do it, it says they can throttle your internet speed if you go over 22 gigs of data usage but only at times of high traffic on the cell tower. I used over 110 gigs on mine last month and it was never throttled. It also has the option for a antenna to boost the cell signal which I'm going to try soon. I wired mine into my Google on hub router because it has a better WiFi range and it works great, best hot spot I've ever bought.
A: It is a mobile router (it is capable of both wi-fi and direct ethernet connection) it allows the user to use high-speed mobile broad internet anywhere there is a cellular tower- - on the go or at home.
A: I think it could, it pretty fast for us and handles quite the load of traffic. It performance will also depend on the cellular service where your traveling through too.
A: It only needs to be plugged in to charge. If you want to us it for extended periods of time, you can take the battery out and plug it in like you would a normal router. As far as data, it depends on your plan. You’re purchasing only the router, no plan. It will work with a plan or prepaid.
