Customers consistently note the Alcatel Ideal 4G LTE's affordability and ease of use as significant advantages. Only Reviewing Phone for use on Wi-Fi (and Apps)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can only speak to the capabilities of this phone on a Wi-Fi network (e.g. using the internet, and apps), or as a camera, not it's capability as a phone, so I'm only reviewing that right now. I should start by saying I think that it's pretty cool that you can get a half decent smart phone for roughly $20 or so, period. And it works okay, too. Disclaimer: this is my second smartphone (and only the second one I have ever owned), and though my previous smartphone (a Droid) was a much older model than this one (by a good couple of years) it actually seemed a bit snappier and more stable than this one--strange, considering that technology supposedly moves pretty fast or supposedly becomes obsolete pretty quickly (though it also cost $80 more--not insignificant--and I think it may have had better hardware specs like a better processor, e.g. quad core with more Hz, and it also was not a "prepaid" phone). When I say that it's not as snappy or stable, I mean I was actually quite a bit surprised how often this little guy crashes/freezes when I'm using apps (e.g. Snapchat, Pandora). Pretty frequently. And I have to restart it. Other negatives: the camera is honestly somewhat abysmal for use on Snapchat, for some reason. Comes through super dark. Guess I shouldn't have expected a super hi-def cam on a $20 phone (it is serviceable for taking pics for practical purposes). Not a super camera to start obviously (also no flashes built in on either forward or selfie-facing), but Snapchat degrades the quality of the camera to where it's even worse. Also, something else to note- there is hardly any free memory available (probably less than 1GB or less than quarter of what is advertised...but don't quote me on that) after you account for all of the pre-installed stuff on the phone (such is true for any phone, I hear- that the advertised memory is not what's actually available). Bear that in mind. It's nice you can put an SD card in it. That of course makes it less economical- not sure what those run, but I had one lying around. I wonder if some of the issues with my particular phone freezing more often than I would like stem from the fact that there is something wrong with the SIM card in my phone- it seems that all of the time I get a message "that I should not remove the SIM card while the phone is on", or something to that effect (as if the card were loose and is popping in and out). This seems to have occurred less frequently as time has gone on. (Wonder if it's something wrong with my individual phone?) Let's see what else can I say that's positive now that I've listed some negatives... (I mean other than it being $20 and quite serviceable!!!)... The audio quality seems pretty decent to me when wearing headphones. The Wi-Fi signal seems pretty strong on it (like it has a good antenna or receptor on it, compared to other devices I've had around). It seems pretty sturdy for an all plastic phone. I like the small size- fits easily in your palm. That could be a drawback to some. I put down that I would recommend this to a friend because it's inexpensive, but then again I might try something else the next time around if I had $20-$30 to spend on a similar device. Happy shopping!

Adequate and Inexpensive Smartphone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good basic smartphone that does all that I expect or need. Pros: Inexpensive, fully functional, Google maps are great for travel Cons: Slower response than a flagship phone (good enough), camera - colors don't pop, battery - needs to be charged daily with moderate use or every second day with minimal use.

Nice Budget Android
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it just for messaging and youtube for my kid to use. It does the job, and I don't really have to worry about it breaking as it was very inexpensive when I bought it. The phone is laggy at times, but overall my kid is okay with it.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product as described, very reasonable priced ship in very timely manner. Very satisfied also the phone is a great starting phone for new smart phone users easy to learn batter life could be a little better tho it is OK its a good screen size not to big for a pocket but not so little you have to strain eyes. Good for younger kids Because of price if it is drop and broken your not out $600 can replace phone cheaper than most screen of more expensive phones under Thirty Bucks

Good basic smartphone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really intuitive design and phone is easy to use. It's not a $300 phone but it is a very nice, smaller smart phone. It runs Android 5.1.1, but isn't a big deal in my opinion. The phone operates and responds just fine, especially for the price. Only downside is the materials used to make the phone seem somewhat cheap. I feel like it could break easily from a moderate drop if not equipped w/ a shock-absorbing case. Recommended to anyone wanting a basic, cheap smartphone.

A good phone for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed an android phone for my daughter. I found this one as having great price/performance ratio. It has quite a large screen and good quality. The RAM memory is 1Mb which is not so great, but for my daughter it is OK, since she doesn't use many applications. Overall memory is 8Gb which can be extended via memory card slot. The processor is not very slow and allows you to use many applications without loosing the speed. Overall, quite good phone for the price.

Great budget phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on Black Friday for $30 (AT&T GoPhone). Got it unlocked and using on T-mobile. Despite BestBuy's info that it's 8GB, it's actually 16GB. Phone is great. A little lag since it has 200 series Qualcomm processor but can't complain for $30. It supports T-mobile's band 12! I don't use NFC, Bluetooth, or auto sync so batter life is great. I'd recommend as a backup device, although I'm using as my primary device right now due to my main phone broken.

An OK phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this is an OK phone in terms of performance and spec. I use it as a backup phone when my main phone is dead or out of battery. However, 8GB of storage is quite limited.
