after I put batteries in it, it just showed "line in use" even when it wasn't plugged into the jack. and it was down on the base. I returned this to the store.

When we lose power, we need a land line the isn't cordless. This works.

for this phone. Sound quality (again so far is totally fne and very clear which to me for a 15 dollar phone is key!)IThe caller ID is clear and simple. No flashy bells and whistles which many people seem to have expected) I kind of understand the issues some "may" have with where the flash buttom is located, but its really not that bad. Its all in the way you hold the phone- not that difficult lol. When I hold a phone I keep my fingers on the sides on the phone, not rubbing it up and down or all around (which you would need to do for the flash button to be that much of an annoyance) It could have been located in a better place (like maybe on the base but its really NOT that bad). Its made a little cheap (like most phones are today cordless or not) but all in all its fine for me. I use it for work I do from home and will not be hanging it on a wall or what not. To keep it on my lap or desk etc..its working. *This site is actually the one where this phone is rated the lowest* If you go to Amazon, Staples etc..its rated very respectable . not great but more than 70-80% of the people think its sounds great (which i think is key)

Not a happy phone. Too light so you can pull it all over the place when you answer it. Big button on back of handset will cut you off so you have to be very careful handling.

The phone partially works. I can call out but it doesn't ring when a call is coming in. It was cheap and too much trouble to return so i threw it away

This was a cheap corded phone and it was purchased as that. I do wish I would have spent a little more for a different phone but, it does the job. Can't complain.
