Price and size of unit is what I needed for my growing DVD/Blue Ray collection. Easy assembly until it was time to attach the back panels. The screw marks on the back of the frame where hard to see and had to correct errors. Material is pressed board and if you don’t screw backing in right the paneling will buckle, thankfully DVDs hide the mistakes. Overall appearance close up is not good but most imperfections can be hidden by DVDs.

It stands up just fine and is a bit wobbly until you get the back screwed on. It should be nails, not 30+ little screws for the back, that's just insane and took forever!!! I bought it on sale for $30. I wouldn't pay $45 for it. It was perfect size for where I needed it.

Despite multiple negative reviews, I picked this up as I don't have a lot of space in my room. Didn't even get the first two boards together when one of the cam screws broke, plus even if I got them together it didn't seem like the screws held the rods in very tightly. Took a chance and it didn't pay off.

As I was putting it together it broke. That's all I needed to see and I returned it right away. The sides were 2 thin pieces screwed together. Slats for shelves were thin part of the cardboard and that's where it broke. Very cheap and thin materials. I suggest you get something sturdier. I sure will.

I was looking for a narrow dvd storage unit for my small bedroom. I saw this in the store and thought perfect. WRONG. Not difficult to build but the materials used are junk. The back panel screws caused multiple bulges on the side of the shelf and once assembled its just a flimsy piece of furnature. For $40 bucks there are better choices out there.

The stand is poorly constructed. Cheap material that is glued on to a piece of laminated material. The sides of stand are to thin making it seems it will break easily. When I finishing putting it together, the stand will even support itself. You will put some heavy on the bottom so it will not tilt toward and fall.. I return it today to the store. Stay away from this stand. It is a piece of junk.

I purchased this shelf expecting to be able to store all of my DVD and Blu Ray disks on it. I discovered upon unboxing and attempting to assemble that the materials are of a very poor quality and do not line up. Once we were able to get it together it was so unstable I was afraid to put any of my DVD's or Blu Rays on the shelf for fear that it would fall apart under the strain of the disks on the shelf. I have since taken it apart and fully intent on returning it to my local store for a refund.

Very top heavy, to tall for how wide it is. Some parts did not fit together well and others broke during assembly.

I loved it for my new place! It fits perfect anywhere I want to put it and it looks great! It is a very stylish unit that gives a special touch to my home. The capacity and style are just perfect! I must say that I had to be extra careful while assembling the unit but once it was assembled it simply was perfect! I love it!

I purchased this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. When we went to put it together, the pins didn't line up to hold the sides together. I squared the back panel at the bottom, but when I got to the top, the panel was not square. I would have returned it, but my husband said it would still hold his PS3 games and CDs.

That's $40 down the drain. I believed the instructions when it said all you need is a Phillips head screw driver. Maybe with electrical tools and a workbench I could have succeeded, but I doubt it. It's just pressboard trash. Not worthy of k-mart let alone Best Buy. Really disappointing.

I would not recommend this item to anyone. Very difficult to assemble. This item is cheaply made. The sides, top and bottom are press board. The back is cardboard which gives no strength. The black finsh was peeling before I finished assemly. I had to touch it up with a black sharpie.

Really cheaply made, flimsy, falls apart, hard to put together and when you do put it together the wood cracks and screws pop thru. I am taking it back tomorrow and I better get my money back. I am disappointed best buy even carries this poor product.

This is a piece of junk. If I could have given it zero stars, I would have. I have put together several pieces of furniture that had to be assembled and they went together well (Sauder). THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE PIECES! I am returning it to my "local" Best Buy 50 miles away. It is cheaply made and I decided to return it before I had it together. The cams didn't hold tightly. I took it apart and put it back in the box. FAIR WARNNG - DON'T BUT THIS!

Save your money. This item works better in a fire pit. Diffucult to assemble for such a small item. Should include thinner srews since width of boards are soo thin. Maybe include thin nails instead of screws. When screwing together pieces edges break off leavng particle board exposed. Very flimsy and weak. You have to mount it to a wall if not will fall over making it not very mobile. Way too expesive for what you get. Would pay $15 max for it and thats pushing it. The worst thing ive ever bought from Best Buy.

For $40 compared to other storage shelves, this seems like a decent price. The appearance of the item looks decent enought on the box. Even when unpacking the wood had a fair enough appearance. Once assembling the pieces didn't line up which made the shelf looks jagged and uneven. This may have something to do with the "cam locks" not fitting properly into the pre-cut holes. In addition, the "cam locks" would not lock onto some of the "cam screws". I have been putting furniture together for over 15+ years and have never had an issue like this. Any shortcomings usually would work themselfs out by the time the product was fully built. Due to the fact the cam locks were not properly aligned it was impossible to securely put this shelf together.

Don't buy this shelf. It's essentially made out of balsa wood and it's nowhere near strong enough to hold a single DVD (Let alone 129 of them.). Two of the cam screws bulged right out of the side of it when I screwed them in, but I figured "Eh, it was $20," but when I stood it up to screw the backing on, it collapsed under its own weight. Again, don't waste your time or money on this box of garbage. You could make one out of tissue paper and have something twelve times as strong.

in all the years I have been buing from Best Buy I have never but a biger pice of junk than this. whin tring to put it togeather it would not hold and even fall a part. This was so bad I just put in the garbeg, and just ate the 44.95 it sold for.

I went to put the top on it when all of a sudden it fell apart at a spot where the selves go into. I could not fix the unit because it completely split into three different parts. I called Best Buy to see what I could do and since it was damaged they could not do anything for it. I wasted my money on the product.

pretty good for the price, if you find anything cheaper its not worth it, I looked and was disappointed by cheaper ones, this is the best storage shelves made for DVDs without breaking the bank
