    This stand appears to be made to the same standard as others, that is, it appears to have one inch posts. It does NOT. The posts are half the size of most others available elsewhere and as such, the stand is flimsy and prone to turning over if anything of any weight is placed on top. If you purchase this, be SURE to put books or something heavy on that bottom shelf.
