Just take it out of the package and plug it in. The only problem I can foresee is that it adds depth to the outlet. Not recommended if you want to use this in a tight space.

I don't know what kind of magic makes it work, but plug it into the holes and power comes out. Holy macaroni. If I didn't have the above words to say about it, I'd say I was speechless. That would obviously be untrue based on the aforementioned words.
