Great Sound, terrible build quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Audio-Technica is known for producing quality near or at reference headphones. I own the M50x's, R70x's, as well as Sennheiser HD558, Klipsch Reference X6i's, and these S700BT. For the price that you pay for these headphones this is what you get; - About 3.5-5hrs of battery life - Less than 2 feet bluetooth range - A full what feels like cheap ABS plastic build - A horrendous charging port. What is also included however is; - An amazing soundstage - Accurate and near reference sound quality - Extremely lightweight - Comfortable Earcups (even though in 8 months i have changed the ear pads 4 times) That being said, for $129 i dont believe these headphones are worth it, unless you are buying them just to add another pair of headphones to your collection. Like i said they sound good but there are way better valued headphones in that price range like; - Sennheiser HD4.40BT - Sennheiser RS 135 - Audio-Technica ATHWS770ISGM (Solid Bass) - Kicker HP402BTB (Thats right i said Kicker) Even the Jaybird X3's, Bose Soundsports, and LG Tones are a better deal for you money even if they are earbuds (I also own some Jaybird X3's they are pretty spectacular) All in all, simply because of the poor build quality (not sure why they went with really cheap plastic), terrible design, and bad BT range, i cannot recommend these to anyone, nor can i give a good rating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
