These are not the headphones for you, if you're looking for something to take with you on a plane (or jogging), but for sound quality, these cannot be beat within their price range. The sound really is amazing. The adjustability is limited and I could see them being a problem for women or children. For my money, however, these can't be beat for laying around the house and listening to any style of music. I also imagine they would be killer for listening to movies or any other kind of audio. Not adaptable for every use, but used as intended, these are the headphones for the serious audiophile, especially one on a budget.

I got this model when it is on sale as open-boxed item. The manager was generous to offer a better price than the listed one. Then, I was glad to apply several coupons to the purchase. I have to say, this pair of cans sounded superb! As always, I am a deal hunter. I rarely purchase products in their full price. But, this is a pair of headphones that truly worth the MSRP. Check it out when you get a chance!

This is my first foray into "audiophile" headphones. I wouldn't describe myself as one, but there's definitely a clear difference in the level of detail and quality this puts out compared to what I used before (Steelseries Siberia V2, Sennheiser HD201, and cheap earbuds). I found myself shopping around for headphones and tried out Beats Solo and Studios along with some Sony and Skullcandy headphones. When I tried these with some good quality recordings these sounded a step above all of them. They didn't have the hard hitting bass that the other headphones had but it was accurate quality bass. It also had a much better balance because the bass wasn't so emphasized. House/Dance/Dubstep sounded great because you can hear all the detail and not just the bass. These are great in just about any genre though. It has a pretty wide soundstage and depth for Classical. Great detail in mids and highs for Classic rock and blues. The bass I mentioned is balanced and not overemphasized. It is definitely there and has good detail and responds pretty well to EQ and you just raise up 150Hz and below. Anyway for the bad stuff. You can't walk around with these. They are bulky and some may have issues with the "Wing" system. These are "sit in a comfy chair and listen to some great music" headphones. You may be able to wear them on a plane but isolation isn't the best even though they are closed back. I find these very comfortable but slightly warm after prolonged periods.

I am very particular when it comes to sound quality and these are awesome. I`m listening to them right now and bass is precise and deep, expansive sound field and very comfortable. The head flap design concerned me but it works well. No buyers remorse here very happy I bought them.
