Replaced my factory installed stylus on my Audio Techinca turntable. What a difference in the sound quality! Highly recommend!

For 49 dollars you cannot go wrong! It beats paying 900 dollars for a new Virtuoso (the cartridge that came with Marantz TT15 turntable). Its not an exact fit and will need to be slightly modified but you can find walk throughs online. Since installing it, I have tested it on several different vinyl records and have no complaints.

Exact replacement for at-vm95E cartridge. Best bang for your buck between cost and sound quality. Audio technica has always punched above their weight all the way back to the 70s. This newest cartridge is a worthy successor to the AT95e that it's intended to replace. Also as a bonus, you can even buy more expensive needles that fit the same body or even go a step down from this to the conical stylus needle. They all fit the same cartridge body. But this one is the sweet spot for cost to performance. Being an elliptical diamond, make sure you use a protractor to align the cartridge properly for best sound and to avoid damage to the grooves of your records and longest life for the stylus.

This is not a very high end, audiophile's item, but it is ideal for my need. I needed a replacement for a stylus that I broke (now I know a stylus can be broken) and this item fit the bill perfectly. It's very easy to install and now works like it's always been on my turntable cartridge.

The only sad thing is that the Kohler Best Buy is failing to restock this and the AT-3600 replacement stylus. I have both of these cartridges and I realize that the turntable craze will not last forever. I would like to build a small stock of these two fine styluses and have been let down by the buyers that work for Best Buy. This stylus is well built and represents the typical Audio Technica quality. I will buy again if they ever appear in stock at the Kohler store.

I needed to replace my stylus on my Audio Technica turntable. I found it very easy to install and my LPs sound great. A very good quality stylus for a not a lot of money. Very satisfied!!!

Sounds great for the price, but that’s about all I have to say. It’s I think it’s kind of useless when I purchased this and my turntable to preserve my records, and I come to find out that after playback, the stylus progressively gets worn into a different shape to inevitably damage your records. Which is kind of a no brainer to just go ahead and upgrade to the VM95ML stylus as apposed to this, when the VM95EB has 300 hours of play pack and the ML has 1000. The price difference alone is covered in the hours of playback, but then you look at the quality of sound and, while the ML stylus wears in such a way that it doesn’t altar the shape, both sound quality and record preservation are not compromised throughout the 1000 hour life of any ML stylus. Where as over time (and only 300 hours of time at that) the EB stylus both loses sound quality in playback AND very slightly damages the records, given the increase in surface area exposed to the groove, and differing shape of the stylus from when you first got it. All that aside, the damage done is so minor you’re better of spending $30 on this stylus as apposed to a $30 all in one crosley cruiser which might as well have a razor blade with 30 grams of track force on the end of its tonearm. This stylus came with my previously purchased record player. The needle was bent and came off (long story), so I replaced it with this one and it sounds just as good as it did on day 1. I could have gone with something “better” but decided to stay with this one because it is good for the money.

When you look at the price-point you can't really can't knock the AT-VM95E cartridge or even this replacement stylus for it. It sounds nice on my Technics SL-D2 and also SL-1350 players. Decent bass, mids and highs and has a warm sound. Was impressed on how easy was to remove old stylus and attach new one. I hadn't planned on replacing the stylus so soon, but I goofed and bent the sound tube. Bestbuy was able to bail me out as they had it in stock and I was able to order online and pickup the same day for a very reasonable price.

I purchased this item to replace the previous AT-VM95 cartridge that came with my AT-LP120 phonograph. My original cartridge looked a bit different as it was completely rectangular box-shaped, so I had to double check to make it was the right replacement. I believe this was just an upgraded version, though and I could swear it sounds better than my last one. The little protective plastic cover is easier to remove once you've slid it into place, by the way.

Did it's job and the sound quality on my LP player has never been better!
