I was a bit skeptical at first then i did my homework. I found the frictional loss of binary data to be fraction compared to an inert substrate in this cable. I was also able to conclude that while it may take 83 years for traditional digital transmissions to see that type of frictional coefficient losses, i would rather future proof now. Who knows maybe hdmi will still be around next week. The kicker on the deal was: when the pres starts taxing people like the ones who can buy these cables, we will get one for free (certain exclusions apply to only some people and not to others)

I really just bought 3 of these. So if you would like an honest review, here it is. Compared to other Audio Quest cables, like the Vodka, you do not see a difference unless you know what to look for and have the equipment that can actually show the difference. Everyone can see the difference in a standard HDMI to an HDMI with Silver in it if you compare, but the difference between higher level cables is more subtle. Audio is the night and day difference with these cables. My bluray has 2 HDMI outs and I put one directly to the TV and one to my processor. My cable box also goes directly to my TV and I use Optical out of the TV because broadcast audio is aweful. The DBS systems keeps the cable ready for anything and I can tell that my audio is clean instantly and my picture is always flawless. They are not cheap cables, they are 100% needed if you want the best quality. I am considering stepping up to Diamond cables for my theater room when I update it. Hope this helps!

oh my god, what a great price. This is the cheapest price I've ever seen. I even let the Geek squad install it professionally. At first, I couldn't get it to work. But with Geek Squad's magic touch, it magically worked!! They plugged it in with such finesse. Zomg, DVD's and my old laser discs look lifelike!!

... for a long time. I've needed a high quality hdmi cable for the tv in my bathroom. There are certain things in there sometimes that match the color "coffee". When you are putting a tv in the crapzone, sometimes you really need to make sure you match colors. Only the best will do for my poo.

Passing 0's and 1's is tough for a $3 HDMI Amazon cable. The best part is I can use one of my 12% off Premier Silver coupons as I don't think it is exclude? I can't afford the shipping on these so I will have to pick them up :(

This cable performs no better and no worse than any other HDMI cable. Signal it carries is digital. Either it is there or it is not. cable will not affect digital signal quality. Buy the cheapest you can find. will work exactly the same.

Looks so much better than the $5 hdmi cables I've been using for years! Yes it looks 7000% better because that is how much more it costs!!!!!!!

some people have these new players which can do above 7.1 it starts to buckle under the stress picture wise out this world 4k quality average 1080p and 1080p3D very good depending on equipment you are using. in other words results and quality may very based on what you are connecting it to and what kind of setup you are using and so fourth. from what i used it with it gave me a four star performance and quality.

I have this bad boy hooked up from my ps4 to my my pioneer elite reciever, it really brought out sounds I couldn't hear before out of my 800 series bowers and wilkins speakers.

My new home theater system was working, BUTsomething was not right. In talking to some people here on some bulletin boards, I found out it was my video cables. So I went out and this AudioQuest Coffee 6.6' HDMI Cable - Brown/Black was recommended to me. Thank you, world wide web! Now, I will admit that the name, AudioQuest Coffee made me think that this is the Starbucks, Premium, version of HDMI cables, but after plugging it in to my 42" plasma, I DID see a HUGE difference. When I got the TV, I did not think there was a big difference going to SD TV to 720p HD TV. The cables make ALL the difference. PLUS, I cannot help but show off my AudioQuest Coffee 6.6' HDMI Cable - Brown/Black when people comment on my picture. I never did get any hint of coffee aroma from the cables, however, and the odd brownish red color does not match my components, but that's a minor issue. Do yourself a favor, skip the Monster branded cheap cables that stories say do as well as a coat hanger. Get the AudioQuest Coffee 6.6' HDMI Cable - Brown/Black. It's Simply the BEST.
