Can really notice a difference in sound when listening do music on my computer

I will recommend the Dragon Fly audio converter just for the people who likes high fidelity audio coming from the computer.... If hoy don't care don't purchase it

Awesome portable Dac from Audioquest. I use it with headphones and with cable to reciever for computer audio play from my MacBook Air. Excellent quality compared to units built in DAC.

Awesome DAC. I used it to connect my Mac Mini to the receiver. My receiver ran out of optical inputs and hence had to resort to external DAC since connecting with RCA sounded really bad. Solid build and plug and play (with mac).

This has got to be the audiophile deal of the century a good headphone amp and dac for $150, just buy it

If you would like more detail and louder volume with less distortion (for higher impedance headphones) than from a typical headphone out socket in a computer/laptop, this DAC/headphone amp is definitely worth considering, especially at the current price. No bigger than a standard USB stick, it is one of the most portable devices of its kind.

It was working great with PC, but not with Mack. Phone jack on PC is not best quality. In that case Dragonfly was welcome improvement. Phone jack at Mack is more advance than on PC. Sound thru Dragonfly or phone jack was similar. Price of product was more than I like to pay for little improvement with Mack - main music computer. PC users go for it.

Great little dac that you can carry around with a laptop. Much better than internal audio. Light changes depending on bit rate of playback. Recommended.

I was lookinging for an item to improve my listening pleasure and it was somewhat of an improvement.

This is the perfect gadget for every audiophile out there. If you want great sound using all those flac, wav or aiff files, buy this little treasure now.

Audioquest has discontinued this. For the price Best Buy asks, it's a steal. Makes a PC sound much better.

I use this everywhere I go. Desktop, laptop and even my phone via and OTG cable.

I bought this item on impulse and used it with my office laptop and sound system. Sorry but I couldn't really hear any difference in quality.

Audioquest has done it again! What an outstanding piece of hardware. If you're reading this review, then you know what a DAC is so I won't get into the background of that. Some background: At work, I basically am listening to music for hours at a time, so sound quality is very important (as are comfortable headphones, but that's another story) and while I don't have any real complaints about the sound output of my MacBook Pro, I wasn't entirely enthralled either. I purchased this primarily because I had heard how good the first generation Dragonfly was in improving sound quality but unfortunately it was out of my price range (it used to be $200-$250). When the new improved version came out at $150, I had to try it. And ...wow. The sound quality is absolutely staggering. I literally had tears in my eyes when I heard the SAME EXACT music files with the Dragonfly. My headphones (V-Moda Crossfade M100s) came alive and you hear things that you didn't even know existed in songs. Every aspect of the music is completely transformed. The build quality of the Dragonfly is top notch as well. It's the size of a typical USB flash drive and built extremely well (out of metal and it's got some heft to it). And I love the light up "Dragonfly" that changes color to the quality of the recording. If you appreciate great sound quality (even if your headphones aren't stellar), this is a must buy. No other DAC that I've seen combines the portability, build quality, sound quality, and price of the Dragonfly. I hate to be melodramatic, but do yourself a favor, demo the Dragonfly with a set of high-end headphones (i.e. V-Moda, B&W, PSB, Sennheiser,etc), and I promise you will never be the same. Well done Audioquest!
