WOW !!! Great Things in Small Packages!

Was absolutely blown away with the incredible difference this has made ... especially in loss-less format music. Perfect match for the relatively inexpensive Sennheiser Momentums but also work incredibly with some Bose ear-buds too! Resolution, minute detail, and separation is incredible ... sounds appear I never knew were there. Probably the most cost effective purchase I have made in a very long time! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Love the dragonfly! Amazing how a device so small can make such a large impact on your listening experience. After researching USB DAC's I decided to give the Dragonfly a go due to price and good reviews and I'm glad I did! Everything I listen to sounds more spacious and detailed. Very good build quality and even better customer support! Will be a long time Audioquest user, I can tell. Next purchase, Jitterbug!

I was a little hesitant to buy seeing that all you get for 150$ is what looks like a thumb drive. Boy am I glad I went for it, Big things come in small packages. I have never heard music in such high fidelity. I have a 300$ set of Senheiser Headphones that I was never aware of their true potential until Now. The bass is Crisp and clear, and the vocals and treble is crystal clear with FLAC files. I would recommend to anyone.

This is a nice little DAC. Plug it into the computer, Windows does it's thing, go configure the settings per the instructions and viola!....great sounds are just pouring out of the speakers. I have my Dragonfly integrated into a Dell laptop, running out to an Emotiva UMC-200 piped into an Emotiva XPA-2 and running to Martin Logan ElectroMotion ESL speakers (and a Quad L-ite subwoofer). (All the interconnects are AudioQuest Evergreen and the speaker cables are from BlueJeansCable.com). The sound is clean, precise and large! The Dragonfly takes the digital signal and converts it to an analogue signal in a way that the computers internal DAC just can't do. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Short Version: - Great product - Easy set up - Enhances existing equipment (headphones or speakers) - Meant for anyone who can be captivated by music Long Version: I was slightly hesitant prior to purchase. Mainly due to this product being primarily geared towards audiophiles(rightfully so), where I respect the technicality involved in being one, I personally don't share the passion with. That being said, I do classify myself as someone who can be captivated by audio, specifically music. This item has exponentially enhanced my experience with my existing equipment (try saying that 5 times fast). It serves as a medium between your headphones(or speakers) and your computer, it takes the sound information your computer is sending out and essentially "cleans it up" thus allowing for more detail to pass through and be heard, whether that detail is bass, vocal range, or instrumentals, it allows you to hear the music closer to what the artist intended, but more importantly, it enhances the experience of listening to music all together. Great product **Small note: This item is best experienced when the source of the audio (iTunes, Spotify, ripped Cd's etc.) is in a high quality or loss-less format which is how the music is saved or accessed (look into FLAC or ALAC formats)

This is a great little device if you want to get better sound out of your computer speakers or headphones when listening to music on your computer. With my old MacBook it helps the most with separation and the audio image while adding a little bit more roundness too. I highly recommend this to any music aficionado or audiophile on a budget who wants better sound out of their computer

Got this for my setup which consists of a MacBook Pro, using audirvana and all apple lossless files, a 4 channel class AB amplifier and a pair of Hertz HSK 165XL components. Mostly car audio equipment with a power supply. Wanted better output from MacBook as the sound card is at best average. Got the dragonfly after reading many reviews and I can say that it is breathtaking. An amazing product by audioquest. As an audiophile, been doing this for about 10 years now I can say that this is an amazing product and would recommend it to anyone who wants to upgrade their sound. Everything from your lows, mids, and highs are well pronounced. Check all other reviews online as well this product is by far one of the best for it's price range. Check it out yourself

Okay, wow. I read some of the reviews here, and with this being a "deal of the day" (it was five bucks off! Woot!) I thought I might give it a go. I am something of a cheapskate by nature, however, and really wanted to hear a significant difference from my Thonet and Vander powered speakers having spent the $75 for this small DAC.. Wow. The detail, clarity, and separation of the music I am hearing is just a stunning difference. If you can find one these, buy it.

Sounds good, but broke multiple times.

It makes a great sound, but I went through 2 of them before I just started fixing the last one myself. The jack kept breaking on me. It was a constant battle to mend it. I eventually gave up on it. For prolonged use, I do not recommend this product.

My Dragonfly v1.2 is totally awesome. I am hearing my music library for the very first time. It is so good, you would have to spend over $1000 to improve. On a Linux computer, it rules!

I love this product. For me its constantly connected to my desktop. It drives my headphones really well. I also tried it on an IPhone6S. You need to use the lighting to USB and then USB 2.0 hub to use it with the IPhone. Its a great device. I think you can get the same type at monoproce for around $60. I have not used it but chips used inside sound very similar. For $18 more you get this. This seems to be a sale price because the next step up is pricey.

Well made, but couldn't hear a difference in SQ

First and foremost, the Dragonfly is a well made product. Audioquest has a great attention to detail from the well designed packaging, to the little leather carrying pouch, to the premium feel of the device. Unfortunately, on my 2013 Macbook with Sennheiser HD-535 headphones, I could not hear a difference in sound quality (SQ) between the Macbook's headphone output and the Dragonfly.
