The lock was easy to install and works better than I expected. Unfortunately, I cannot get the August Connect to work, so I can't operate the lock away from the house, which was one of the driving factors in getting it. I also have not been able to get the software working on my daughter's phone, even though it worked fine on mine.

I love the lock and Geo fencing, its nicely designed, but based on usage you better keep batteries handy. remote access and BT and wifi is awesome.

This is a great product, I would recommend to anyone. Just wish it would have more connectivity work google home.

An automatic door lock has been one of the last items on my home automation list because their has been a lot of duds out there. I wanted something that was easy to install and reliable. The August lock has been both. I was up and running within 15 minutes after unboxing. The unit is very solid, and its signal and operation have been flawless. It integrates with Apple HomeKit so I can control it with Siri without an extra purchase- just make sure you have Apple TV first. Having the ability to be automatically recognized and let in to my apartment is an amazing feature and very handy.

Very easy to install, works as it's supposed to. This electronic lock has given me the confidence to put the key away! As long as you have your phone within range it works. However, as a backup solution I have installed the keypad option. This also allows me to give out codes to friends and family who drop by.

This lock works perfect and is just as advertised. I don't like the app for august. Upon start up of the app, it takes a long time for the app to determine if the lock is locked or not. I have found that using HomeKit is much quicker and efficient. In fact, I never use the August app. Otherwise, I recommend this lock!

The August - HomeKit Bluetooth Deadbolt Retrofit Smart Lock device works very well. I like being able to get in my door without having to find my keys. Also, being able to lock the door from my smart phone is a plus. The inside control knob is kind of large and silver, but that is the only negative thing about it.

Color doesn’t match with most door knobs. Big round shape although unique can become more focal point on door

Installation was a breeze, as advertised. I like the fact that it works with the August App or with Apple Home Kit. It works with Alexa too! Out of the box, I could only control the August Smart lock from my iPhone using Bluetooth. I wanted remote access, so I had to buy August Connect. Then, after locking myself out of the house too many times, I purchased the keypad. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the August Lock, August Connect and August Keypad combination. If you specifically want compatibility with the Apple Home Kit, August is the way to go.

It was easy to install, calibrate and manage from my iPhone. I already got locked out of my house, but eas able to get in thanks to the smart lock.

Well I have bought this because I worry about my kids opening the door without us even knowing well it works like a charm I get notifications for any movement on that front door lock I also bought the extension box which allows me control while I’m not at home this is one of the best locks I ever seen and I can control it with Alexa and Siri which is a plus just remember they all have to be on the same router. It also open the door automatically when I get home no keys second u can individually set every person up who live there

The installation was simple and the products work as advertised. The doorbell/camera is great. Glad I got the lock that is comparable with HomeKit.

The lock works great and it was easy to install. I can lock and unlock my front door even when I'm several states away. Provides peace of mind.

I am starting to get into the "home kit" program and buying more connected devices. This has been a very convenient add, the only reason I am giving it 4 stars is when I set the product up I got a prompt that the batteries were already at 20%. I'm hoping this doesn't become a regular problem.

The design is quite large and obtrusive. There were some issues with the connectivity that caused delays in the opening/closing or just didn't work as desired. Installation was very simple. But to get the most out of it you need to by additional products like the keypad and connect.

This is very convenient Entry door lock. You can unlock your doors by using your smart phone.

Really great lock. Complaint comes from randomly not allowing my guests to get in. Has happened on 2 separate days for multiple guests with access. Is reset by Home user using app/HomeKit, but can be frustrating.

I like the fact that my phone controls my door. No need to be fumbling with keys anymore.

This is door knob, you don't need to replace full lock only internal knob so that makes you still able to use your key in case of emergency. If you renting you don't need to share the code as you do with any other snark locks. Installation is easy, but instruction is poor.
