Good deadbolt option but doesn't have zwave, works fine with others but not with samsung smartthings, go with the 3rd generation pro one

Never forget to lock the door again. I like being able to control this device from my phone.Its a great system to have for added security to your home.

I love this product it works amazing. I have a special needs son that does not like to lock the door behind him and this takes care of that. It will unlock and lock right after you. If it does not lock properly it will let you know with little chirps till you close the door correctly.

With recent Apple TV models you don't need an August internet bridge for remote internet control. The Apple TV acts as a bridge between the lock's Bluetooth and the home Wi-Fi network. Your iCloud account then allows for access through Apple's Home application from remote iOS devices.

Purchased for wife for when home alone. Garage isn't attached. She can unlock door from garage when weather is bad. Has not failed yet.

The tape that came with the lock is not strong enough to hold the outside part. I had to hold it manually in order for the screws to fit. And it takes some experimentation to tighten it just enough to secure the outside part and install the inside smart lock properly. I couldn't get it snug all over the wall. But once I installed, setup was easy and the lock functions well. It works fastest with the app. Siri will take a few seconds to interpret.

This is a good door lock that does not require having the replace the entire door lock but works with your existing door lock.

We rent our house and this lock is perfect for the home. I just swapped out the deadbolt. No need for a new key or anything like that. When I pull into the driveway my door unlocks. It helps when my hands are full and I'm not fumbling with my keys trying to unlock the door.

August Lock is very easy to install. Works well and is convenient. If you want remote access must buy the August Connect also.

This lock retrofit adds the ability to lock/unlock your door with your phone. You can set up auto-unlock and auto-lock, that way your door will unlock when you get home and lock after up to five minutes have passed. Add in the connect, and you can unlock your door from anywhere.

I bought this and absolutely loved it at first but I used the feature that the August unlock would unlock based on location (so it would automatically unlock when I pulled in my driveway) which was great but unless I turned the location feature off it was constantly unlocking and locking all the time when I was at home just sitting on the couch which caused the batteries to die very quickly. It also gets jammed quite frequently.

This is actually pretty neat. I recommend the wifi device to be purchased with it also. Auto lock and unlock capabilities.

Works well. The only downside is the use of batteries. Will need to replace them about every 2-3months.

This is the fourth August lock that I have purchased for my co-working spaces. It is a very convenient way to give access to our offices via smart phone. The members love it and I love it. As we grow I'll continue to buy more locks. Highly recommend for home or business use.

Bought this item to use on my garage door so I wouldn't have to fumble for keys when getting home. However, I live in an older house and because the door is not perfectly aligned, it would not lock or unlock automatically without "hanging up" and needing the door to be moved slightly to get the bolt to line up. The lock itself was very nice, was super easy to set up, but in the end just didn't meet my needs.

I’ve tried a number of other smart locks and found this to be the easiest to use and guests aren’t so intimidated by it when they see it. I use android and Apple devices as well as amazon echo to control it when needed. The bridge is a necessary addition.

Wanted this so when the in laws came over they could be let in. Hate handing out keys to everyone and this makes it simple.

Not sure why some of the reviews say the lock doesn't work. I think this is the most reliable smart lock on the market.
