In tandem with a wireless outdoor keypad, this easy-install door lock will save much travel and worry for anyone with short-term rental properties. It's deceptively capable, seemingly an oversized knob. After several test runs, each a success, I was convinced. The combination can be changed in moments and status monitored. The metallic finish is PERFECT for doors near/off kitchens given the prevalence of stainless appliances. The app is simple and capable. Definitely recommended!

Super stylish and works as advertised. Automatic unlock when you get close as you return from work. Super convinient.

Really easy set up and works really good. Integrates with Apple Homekit and lets me use Siri to unlock the door.

It’s a great lock with great features. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars cause it isn’t a device you can connect with google assist. It does however connects to the Apple Home kit. So Siri does things for me.Still a great product

Overall, we really like this lock because nothing changes on the outside of the door, so our landlord doesn't even know we have it installed. I had a friend visiting from out of town and she was stranded outside, but I simply added her to our "lock" and gave her temporary access and she got in! That's been the best part of the lock. You're supposed to still be able to use the regular key with the lock, but we had some issues at first. When it ran out of batteries, thank goodness I actually got the key to work!

Bought this new on sale from BB and wanted to add to my already smart home. Price was right but the batteries that came with it were dead.Set up and installation was a breeze. Doesn't always connect to phone. Software is a little buggy. 7 out of 10 times it needs to "repair" itself and reconnect. When it does work it's pretty sweet. For those who somewhat smart home savvy, it works with Alexa but not Smartthings. It also is very limited with IFTTT and there is no arrival or departure sensor capabilities yet.

The instal was so fast and setup was so easy. Adding it to HomeKit was also very simple.

We purchase this lock to replace our previous August lock. We only had it for 2 years. We love the ease of the product. We hope it lasts more than 2 years. We will switch brand if we experience the same issues.

The August Smart lock works great about 95-98% of the time, there has been a couple of occasions where it stopped responding in Apple HomeKit and I had to remove it and add it back, but still highly recommended

I purchased the HomeKit version because I have everything required for being able to control it and view its status when I’m not home. The issue That I have, is the deadbolt on the door doesn’t fully line up unless the door’s other lock is already engaged or your ensuring the door is tightly shut. So this causes an issue where the lock cannot work as intended. I have heard that replacing the deadbolt with an angled version will correct this problem. Normally I wouldn’t mind, but I am trying to rely on this for my son to be able to get in and out of the house without the possibility of losing a key... I’ll be trying the angled deadbolt to see if that reliably fixes the problem. The build quality and the app are superb.

Great product and easy to install. I use the auto lock and unlock. It works flawlessly 95% of the time. The time or two it didn’t Auto Unlock I just had to open the app to unlock the door. First world problems right. Works really well and would get 5 stars if it was a little smaller. It is pretty large but not that bad. It’s size helps because I have small children in my house and makes it difficult for them to open the deadbolt now. So kinda a good and bad.

its a great lock but its fairly large and not the most convenient to grip. But it doesnt seem to be a solution to our needs because we still need to unlock the second lock with e key to get in

My entire family love it. It is easy to install. Works like a charm. Compatibility with Apple HomeKit is also great. With it, lock can be controlled remotely. It even has features of locking and unlocking itself based on a location.

Easy to use with the iOS app. HomeKit compatibility makes it even easier. Need the August Connect to lock and unlock the door remotely. A bit bulky but does the job reliably. You can still use your keys if you lock your phone in the house.

Home keys were the only key I was hanging on to until I got August lock. I can lock and unlock with my smart phone over Bluetooth or via remotely August connect(separate device for WiFi connectivity). Simple installation, and easy setup. I can easily share keys via phone if guest were coming over and limit what time I want the key to expire on their phone.

I think August makes a great smart lock. The batteries drain pretty quickly but that just seems to be the way it is. I highly recommend having the home connect also. My wife got locked out of the house and because of the connect I was able to unlock the door from a 1000 miles away

I love this product. It works great and looks fantastic. My only complaint is that it is not easily integrated with Samsung SmartThings. Wifi only via Connect is another pet peeve.

I purchase the August lock with the connect. It works great with Alexa and Apple Home kit. Gave it 4 stars because it a little bulky, I wish the design was a little bit slimmer.

Easy install. Solid performance. A little slow in response however. By the time I walk up to the door, Bluetooth has started, and it's about the same as keys at that point
