Needed to keep my existing deadbolt. Perfect solution for someone who lives in an apartment complex and can't remove their existing deadbolt, but wants to build their smart home. No issues with the device thus far!

No more worrying if I did lock the door on the way out. Great remote access. I'm only giving 3 stars because of the glitches to set up and the Google integration is not complete.

I use the first generation smart lock, so instinctively purchasss this for my girlfriend. It works great, I just wish it made the same sound the previous model does after it locks/unlocks itself as confirmation.

Got this on sale amd was fairly easy to install but bluetooth takes too long to connect. Overall its a nice smart lock if you have it setup correctly.

This is an amazing device. I wish I wouldn’t have to pay extra for the “unlock from anywhere” feature but that’s how companies make there money. The unlock when your close is a really nice feature, helps when you have your hands full or you can’t find your keys right away.

I got the Smart Lock without the WiFi bridge. There was a weird setup issue that required a call to August but since then it's worked great for simple lock/unlock instead of carrying a key.

Most of the time you walk up to the door, it will already be unlocked. Sometimes, you'll wait at the door for 30 seconds and it will still be locked. This happened to me yesterday and I was in crutches. After pulling out my phone to unlock the door, I tried to put it back in my pocket, and because of the crutches, I missed and it feel and the screen got cracked. Obviously that was not the fault of this lock, but it never would have happened if the door had unlocked automatically like it was supposed to.

This lock is awesome. I like that the exterior deadbolt looks the same. Initially I set up my device incorrectly so it wasn't capturing when I was arriving for the auto-unlock feature but after some tweaking it seems to be working great.

My favorite thong about this lock is that from the outside you dont know it's a smart lock. I got it to integrate with my simplisafe system and it works awesome. Also work great stand alone. There are plenty of option in the app to suit most preferances.

Works well, easy installation, solid build. The only downside is that the lock sometimes loses bluetooth connectivity with my phone requiring the connection to be reset.

I do like it... but there are times it doesn't communicate with my phone to unlock it when i get home. Or times it won't connect to the August hub to control remotely.

I purchased this lock so that I could lock the door remotely. This is exactly what I do! Just know that in order to lock from outside of your wireless network, you need to have an additional piece of hardware/- the bridge.

Great lock it downs what it’s supposed to. It does sometimes take a few seconds to register your in the range to unlock but other then that great lock

Works well so far. Installation was quick and easy. Auto unlock has worked perfectly every time, as has auto lock. It would be nice to have a widget for android.

Would have given 5 stars but the instructions told me to use the wrong adapter for the type of lock I have. Other than that, the thing is great. Works well.

Product works as expected. Only issue is recalibrating the lock on a monthly basis. Not a big deal just inconvenient. Very happy with the purchase.

We love this lock. The only thing is whenever you turn your Bluetooth off it takes time to reconnect to your phone again.

Easy to install and connect. However the lock is only attached to the door by the center- round portion, which allows the top part to slide sideways when opening or closing. You end up with a lock no longer pointing up, but on the sides. Easy but cheap way to attach the lock to the door.

I liked this. The only problem i had was getting it to lie flat against my door jamb. That was troublesome but otherwise great

It's been working well. There are times when it doesn't automatically lock, which we have to keep track of.
