This is a good entry level smart lock. Does what it says it will.

This was my 2nd August smart lock purchase. After the ease of installation & performance with my 1st purchase, I decided to purchase this one. If you are adding smart devices to your home, I would highly recommend this smart lock as a great replacement for older locks or as a upgrade. The best part of having August smart locks, I can still continue to use my existing keys as an option if needed. With the "Auto Unlock" feature, I rarely have the need to use my keys.

We had an original August smart lock that I hated, so much so that I was certain I would never buy another August product again. However, I gave them another chance, and I'm glad I did - this product improved over the original in every way. The geofencing auto lock/unlock feature works very well, and the product is very reliable so far. The only thing I don't like is that accessing your lock's information via the internet without a wifi adapter that is sold seperately.

Have a big steel door. Easy to install. Easy youtube installation instructions.

Works well Wiifi with required hub for remote functionality. Works with bluetooth alone but limited to proximity,

i love this door lock! i can use my phone to do everything! and can even give electronic keys to my friends

Love the deadbolt, love how it automatically opens when you arrive home, and auto locks when you close the door

Great lock! Easy to use and elegant. I have the other August pro and this one is just as good.

not impressed with the design, I have this beautiful door with a bulky silver thing on the inside, I actually returned it for that reason waiting till the black version comes to store to try that. Does everything it was supposed to do, had to buy an additional "hub" which seems is a must for new applications if just becoming a smart home user.

Love it. Super easy to use. Enter grades very well automatically with Airbnb. Good battery life. Easy to set up.

The installation and set up were straight forward.

This lock has made it so easy for my daughters to not worry about keys and forgetting to lock the door.

I had to buy this unit because the space around my lock is narrow and couldn’t fit the round model. It works fine but the motor is not strong enough if your door is not precisely aligned. I face some free issues and have to reset the unit and recalibrate. If your door is perfectly aligned it will work fine with you.

The August is great. I can send keys to whomever I want to and not have to worry about it
