If you want to make your existing deadbolt then this is the best in the market today, Looks like they have fixed many issues described by other users through updates, and hopefully they will continue to add updates. Buy the Wifi adapter for better connectivity and to be able to use it remotely.

Great bluetooth lock. It needs the wifi adapter or a recent apple tv to go wifi.

If you just want to get into the house with bags of grocery, this is the item.

For the price is a good lock, customer service was impressive since best buy sold me a broken lock but August lock sent me a new one for free. Afterwards it has worked great. Only down fall is that you need a wifi bridge to control remotely but aside from that it works as expected

Easy install (took 5-10 mins). Wifi connector needs to be close by.

Can easily lock yourself out if going outside just to check the car or something. Auto lock is great, but needs key touchpad. Or spend additional money for the keypad, then the Wifi addition accessorie. Over $300 then. Bad buy.

The August lock is great because it fits over your existing lock which is really convenient. However it can be a little slow. It's generally always faster just to pull out your keys. If you get the WiFi Bridge to go with it works much better. If you have it set to auto unlock when you get home it can be much faster than pulling out your keys but Auto Unlock doesn't always work. The lock says it works with Google assistant which is technically true but you have to confirm a pin every time you want to lock the door so it's always more convenient to just use the app. Overall we like using it better than using our physical keys but it's not really much more convenient. It be great if you have guest though but we don't have those so we haven't been able to test that.

My wife and I love the product overall. Makes it super easy to get in and out of the house with kids. Only thing is you need to buy additional equipment to get it to work on WiFi network and sync with google home, Alexa etc. for the price it should be included

The lock works great and hadn’t had any issues, however, the lock is very loud. Unlocking/locking the door via Bluetooth makes the lock have a loud mechanic noise...not as smooth as the newer models.

This lock works great. The Apple Watch app works just as it should.
